Remove the RCS pack from the kerbals or the parachute it will remove some weigth

@@Legat89 In case of a mission to Mun, parachutes are not necessary, just like the Spuktni probe core, it does not provide any attribute, only weight.

In KSC it is cursed only if it doesn’t wprk at all, if it functions somewhat then it is good.

Since it looks like the booster isn’t getting recovered anyway, why not just go for a 3 stage system at this point? It would probably save a lot of weight and some cost. Given the ~7 km/s delta V requirement with aero breaking, and the terrible mass ratio of KSP fuel tanks, 3 stages is probably optimal mass wise.

He was trying to do test flights with just a probe core but the stayputnik doesn’t have sas

I could be wrong, but you appear to have reduced your Dv at launch by 50% compared to the previous design, and lost the ability to recover your first stage. Maybe the terrier recovers some of the difference once you're out of the atmosphere, but this first stage seems off to me. Edit: I've roughly replicated it myself, and being able to check the stats without having to skip through the video - and I'd say I was wrong and it's not got the issues I thought it might from what i could see. The 8-way symmetry on the first stage, for my liking doesn't add enough Dv compared to weight and cost, but it adds enough for it to be personal preference.

Its still nice to see you doing the occasional cinematic intro, no matter how shrt it is. Also, why didnt you just take off the bottom aerodynamic nose cones? they aren't 100% needed, or *as* needed as the top ones, and they'll save you alot of weight which can be put into fuel/Kerbals

Is it necessary to have the extra probe core and the 2 Kerbal capsule? I was able to get a vehicle down to just 2 pods, carrying 1 Kerbal each, with drop tanks on the side for about 60000 and not overweight. Is there a way you could modify yours?

What is Bill actually contributing to this mission? You don't have deployable science or repair kits or ISRU stuff. He enables KER, but the chip for that is a lot lighter than a Kerbal. That'd save you a bit over 0.9 tons I think and from the payload so the rocket equation is working in your favor.

Kerbals only weigh 42kg. If he trains bill he can use him for orbital construction which is OP. Should he bring 3 kerbals on every mission? For optimal play no and most of us in hardcore go minimalist but Vaos likes to make things interesting.
