Gotta agree with the “creators intent” filmmaker mode vs. what looks better for you personally, I honestly don’t give a shit about creators intent if the image is dark and washed out, and it’s like this most of the time. Was watching Avatar the other day and it was like a CRT in this mode.
Great review! I own an s92c. It’s a bestbuy exclusive, same as the s90c except with a more powerful sound system. I started with the sony a95k. Returned it because I didn’t like the bluish tint it has to everything. Decided to go with the s95c. Awesome tv but the panel had a slight curve. Got it replaced and replacement had the same defect. I decided on the s92c which believe it or not has better build. I can honestly tell you that the picture on the s92c/s90c when adjusted properly is equal to that of the s95c in my opinion. P.s. and the colours are better than the Sony….. my opinion! We watch mainly sports, occasional tv shows and movies
I have gone to Bestbuy in Toronto. They have S90C S92C n S95C lol. It was very interesting experience. ALL 3 panels are UTTER much MORE luxurious , beatiful than SONY , LG. Slam dunk. N d funny part is as much for PRICE match, even HISENSE U8 Series has BETTER vibrant colors than SONY line up display. Which is really disturbing to watch the Shootout n other videos. Cuz for SONY UNLESS u get A95L, the Rest is sh*** comparing Samsung QD-OLED or Hisense UX U8 in person.
so interesting to hear this. i have been told in the UK that the 90/92 have the same gen2 panel... obviously just been dialed back a bit so they can have a "flagship" similar with alot of cars having the same engine just not having the same "map". take this with a pinch of salt, reading various places online apparently the "bios"/software" can be cracked which then allows you to just make it a 95C - apparently its been done before (dont quote me) - i would be very interested to know what settings you settled for!? :)
I had the tv professionally calibrated only because I got a really great deal for 100 dollars. They added two extra modes from the service menu , Cal day and Cal night. Both of which they calibrated. Strange thing is, I prefer my own adjustments that I made in movie mode. The calibrated modes are ok but a bit too cool in temp. Also, they lock the two modes they calibrated so I’m not able to do any adjustments to them.
If the 90c has the gen2 panel, which I don't believe this one has... it has the potential to be better with more tinkering/maybe even an update(if samsung don't f it)
I have been told by Samsung on tech support live chat & by phone(I wanted to double check) that the ones sold here in the UK have the GEN2 panel but how can one prove that!?!?
Yes the S90C in the 77 inch is the second generation panel, but I think he’s using a smaller S90C which wouldn’t be a second generation panel, so an unfair comparison
The s90c sharpness (compaired to) is something that is the bigest upgrade, also if the new processor is better, the ui will probably quicker? I heart that the 2nd generation panel is not always in the s90c, so that could also be a factor. 144hz is nice for gaming, concidering that makes it all a little better. How about nits or cd/m2, that is important if you have a bright room (and dont live in a basement)
Interesting comparison. We know they have to nerf the s90c to protect the higher price for the s95c. For me, I would probably be happy with the 90c as long as I don’t have the 95b right next to it.
Best TV for Xbox series s. Just got the 1tb black version. 1440p i don't need to worry about really high quality for the ps5 i have that on my main tv downstairs. The one i need for the Xbox will be in my bedroom

Yes but you’re using a smaller S90C vs a bigger S95B .. with that said the S90C 77 inch is the second generation panel it’s not on the 55 inch or the 65 inch just wanted to point that out Very unfair comparison which makes this video misleading

In an ideal world, I would love to be able to afford to track down an S95B so I can give my LGC1 to my mom because her TV is such an older model that you don’t even have settings for it and she’s getting to the point where it’s getting harder for her to see so I would love to be able to give her a good TV experience. Are your settings only applicable to movies or do you have settings for sports. I really want to get an S90C but have heard the motion is bad but if they can be resolved with settings I am in!
hey bro i find a deal s90c 2nd gen panel so can i mod it to be s95c i mean color , clarity etc and my concern s90c vs my old c1 is black level can i get s90c same or better depth of black , does s90c have black stablizer and white .. ? i need those info please thank you
Two different sized TVs. S95B looks sharper/better probably ONLY because of smaller size compared to S90C. Smaller TVs will always look sharper and dynamic range whould be nicer then on larger TV. This comparation is somewhat misleading. Anyway, keep going "QUANTUM TV", you are awesome.
I have both of these tvs… The S95C is a bit brighter overall and the colors are a tick brighter but the S95B has a richer look with Colors Red, Green and Blue… AMAZING TV’s and BOTH have incredible uniformity
