Simms can be supportive of Dak all Chris wants but the fact remains that it appears Dak isn’t a “good playoff quarterback.” Dak wins around two-thirds of his regular-season games - excellent - but wins fewer than one-third of his playoff games I believe - pretty poor. Now I wrote a couple years ago that the Cowboys should trade both Zeke and Dak, get a boatload of picks, then make a quick turnaround and make a Super Bowl push. I also thought it was stupid they didn’t fire their coach although that’s a separate issue; they still should. But it doesn’t matter really WHY Dak can’t win in January just that he seemingly doesn’t. The definition of crazy is, “Doing something over and over and expecting a different outcome.” Well, Jerry Jones is sick of looking crazy.

That’s what a good quarterback is suppose to do. He’s a very good quarterback. Sorry Dallas always finds a way to screw it up, way before Dak got there.

Dak is 0-1, 1-1, 0-1, 1-1, etc. in the playoffs. In other words he wins one every two years and he’s never won more than one playoff game in any given year. The Cowboys, like every other team, wants to win the Super Bowl and Jones must believe they can’t with Dak. Dak is expensive AND his playoff record is terrible. You could live with one but not both. If Dak agreed to, say, 30-mil per the Cowboys would probably sign him and accept they won’t win a Super Bowl. Anyways the Cowboys should let Dak play out his lame-duck season and they probably will.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I would add that they shouldn’t be so focused on, “Even if they saved cap room, that money is just going to go to Lamb and Pardons!” Yes, no shit. They think that paying Lamb and Parsons would be a better investment than paying Dak. Seems like a reasonable strategy at this point, although I might even balk at giving Parsons all that he wants.

It has been on his shoulders for years but …last year …the defense left entirely to many point get scored… Look at it from Daks point of view..play your best dam near MVP year and the Defense let’s a team run up 40 plus in a playoff game… Has any team scored more then 40 in last years playoffs other then Green Bay ? If not it’s because it should not happen. Teams don’t win if the other team puts up 40 in a playoff game.

Chirs: he makes a lot of awesome plays from the pocket Reality: Dak has a losing record when his Run game isn't 100yds or more. Dak is the greatest 2nd tier, B+ QB ever!!! He can definitely win a SB for Dallas... if they surround him with enough talent, which raises his play, in particular a dominant o-line that can help a RB average 4.5 yards a carry, for 1700yrds plus a season, and he will also need a physical D that holds everyone to 20pts or less. But how many 2nd tier QBs wouldn't be in the SB conversation with that kind of supporting cast? Those QBs are definitely not paid top of the market.

I just KNEW revisionist history would try to blame the defense for last years playoff loss. It was squarely on Dak. Go back and watch the first half. He lost the game with horrible play early and then stat padded when it was over. Defense had no chance when he’s throwing INTs and incompletions.

Dallas is in a division where the other 3 teams could win 8 or fewer games, all 3 teams either the coach just got fired or on a hot seat. Dallas coach and QB contracts are expiring and long term they may be in worse shape than the other 3 teams. Hahahaha the only rim the Cowboys are hanging around is the toilet bowl! It's also disingenuous to take the blame off Dak for the playoff blowout loss. Yes, the defense was insanely bad. QBs have won the SB taking more than 15% of the cap twice. And Mahomes has done it both times in the last two years. Dak is showing the league that middling QB, making top dollar will never produce results. Get a QB on a rookie deal, a bargain vet who has a career resurgence season, or Mahomes. That’s pretty much it. The next group of great QBs haven’t even got to the huge cap hit parts of their deals and STILL couldn’t get over the hump. And Dak isn’t even in that group.

They should have dumped DAK years ago, along with that Fraud of a RB. People might not recall but in College, DAK was a heck of a runner, until he really got popped. I will quit drinking if they move on from him, playoff win was to a 45 year old guy who got in with a losing record or 500. He’s been there for d near a decade. What a sh*t show….JJ and Steven care ONLY about their money! Not fielding a championship team! Just good enough to keep the fans coming in and spending their cash. I donated my gear to the third world years ago. I have since been a fan of selecting a new team every year and sticking with them thru thick and thin that year! And I’ve seen one Super Bowl victory in Tampa Bay… more than the Cowboys provided in the last 30 years. 😂

Dump Dak. Just like the Dolphins situation, Dak is a regular season QB that needs to be surrounded by talent in order to have success. Dont get me wrong, just like Tua, he can lead a team to the playoffs and maybe even win you one but he's not someone you build around. Dont be the Giants and double down on stupid.

Simms is a loser.. He was the same fool who put Zach Wilson above Goff in a ranking. Nepo baby... Dak = all hat no cattle front runner... He is the opposite of Goff, all stats no grit, and Goff has some great stats but brought it in the post season (his WRs didnt). Dak is exactly who you get rid of. He pads stats against trash.
