KD was not the problem with the suns. They just got out played by a better team on this run. KD don't need to retire just because you was force to by father time. Father time move different for different people. Father time mandate for you may be different for KD.Just like bron his mandate may be on a much longer time table than KD. One thing about father time we all will succumb to him. But as I got older I began to realize that he treats everyone differently base on what his mandate is for you.

KD needs to go to a contender where his role will be instant offense for an already solid team like he was with the Warriors. KD gets buckets but it doesn’t correlate directly into wins. KD needs to player with established winners and be the x-factor that finishes them off in crunch time.

He NEEDS to request a trade to OKC. It makes so so so much sense. It would rehabilitate his image overnight, especiallyyy if he helps the team he ditched finally win a title. Bball wise, he doesnt have to be the #1 option. They got so much depth he can play 22-25min in the reg season. He doesnt need to be a #1 (or 1A) option w Shea, hed be a clearrr #2. He doesnt need to defend the best guy, they got Dort for that. And OKC biggest weakness is size, having a 6'11 PF would help immensely on the defensive glass. SGA has led the entire NBA in drive % the last 3yrs - nooo one attacks the rim more than SGA. Who better to help open driving lanes than KD standing in the corner/wing?! AND OKC got 13 1st rd picks!! This could so easily happen.

I think it’s great that players like him continue well into their mid-late 30s, but it wouldn’t be for me. Personally, I’m glad I was able to retire from the Marine Corps at 38. While I loved the experiences and people I met, it’s just one chapter in my life. Now, the next 20 or so years will be spent traveling and getting back to old hobbies.

What Durant needs is youth around him. He needs guys like what the TWolves have that do multiple things on a court. Like the Mavs they have a solid mix. The Suns need to define who that other option is between Booker and Beal. They need to address that cause Beal is paid like a first option but he isn’t on this team. Durant should be like Luka with Booker being like Irving.

The problem with kd, lebron, and the clippers is they don’t have any team chemistry. Kd and lebron change their teammates every year or two and the clippers are never healthy enough to build chemistry. Then when the clippers had the team together and had a rythem going they traded them all for harden and ruined their chemistry. All the teams that are balling been together for a while now wolves,nuggets,Celtics,okc. That super team stuff dead now.

KD had a good year, I don’t think you can throw him in the dumpster just yet. I can understand the rationale in saying that he’s not getting any younger, and Phoenix can’t keep relying so heavily on a guy who’s turning 36. If anything I’d like to see Phoenix manage his minutes just so he’s not taking as much of a beating throughout the year. Last season was just the second time in the last 7 seasons he played more than 70 games in a season.
