In this video I am going over the things I like and don't like about my yt Capra and determining whether or not to sell. Im also adding a new element to my videos where I give tips on video production and photography.
@@iwantmymtb have you ever tried a 4 piston Shimano like a Shimano XT or Shimano Zee? Their braking power is significantly more and they don’t fade on long descents 👌if ever you decide to switch brakes, maybe try them
@@ETSUalex 90% of performance complaints on SRAM brakes can be fixed by swapping their hot garbage OEM pads. Going to either Galfer or MTX improves initial bite while virtually eliminating heat fade (I've had mine literally smoking on 2000+ ft decents with no real difference in performance). Brake preference is very personal, just wanted to throw the recommendation out there for anyone as a cheaper, easier alternative to a brake swap.
@@phonebeminteresting. The gold Avid Pads are better Then every Pad from galfer. And i use galfer still in my saint but what U saxing makes No Sense. SRAM brakes are Just Not IT.
On the valves clogging, I noticed something in your video. Try to make a point of storing your bike with the valves at the bottom of the wheel (so they're pointing up) instead of at the top. This may sound counter-intuitive but if you think about it, this will allow the sealant to drain out instead of becoming trapped and hardening. Updating the damper to at least a Charger 2.1 on the fork would be an excellent upgrade and don't overlook a DVO Topaz when you're upgrading the shock.
