The Ab Crunch Cue is a popular and widespread cue in Nordic skiing. In this video, I argue against this cue, on the basis that it does not promote long-term spinal health or the optimal use of the trunk for skiing efficiency. It's better to flex the torso from the hip joint, not through the spine.
This video from the Nordic Ski Lab, an online membership site for Nordic Skiers. We use slow motion video analysis to simplify competitive-style cross-country ski techniques so you can enjoy more speed for less effort. Visit nordicskilab.com to learn more.
