Pick my Air 13 up on Wednesday replacing an iPad gen2 circa 2012 only reason having to replace it due to soft ware not being updated so apps with high security don’t work. Otherwise I would not bother. So I’m going to be impressed with a massive performance shift

The new iPad Air will be significantly faster? At what? Forget benchmarks, what real world stuff that most people do will they see significant increases in performance?

I have the 2018 iPad Pro.. and this thing is still going strong. While I am impressed with the new tech inside this new Ipad Pro, i can't see myself spending that kinda $ to replace something that still works just fine. I was hoping they would refresh the mini, i think I wanna give that smaller size a go.

I don’t know why this channel has never come up on my feed. Great practical advice. Emotionally I want the new iPad M4 11”. But do I need it? Probably not. This M2 11 iPad Pro is still a solid device and does everything I need. New subscriber.

What’s your thoughts on this… I have a 2nd gen 2017 iPad Pro but never took advantage as a “pro”. Glorified RU-vid device. Going to the newest entry level iPad with the A14 Bionic chip?

it STILL surprises me how powerful and low power the ipad pro m1 is. BUT apple ultra thin devides just feel sexy somehow. So the ipad with m4 that's even slightly thinner just sounds amazing. It'll be a while before I upgrade though. I'm still on my '17 27" iMac pro xeon 8 core and this thing overheats VERY EASILY.

I think for the $100 (M2 512 vs M4 512) upgrade cost you get faster memory, faster bus speed, faster CPU, OLED, better pencil, better keyboard seems like a no brainer to me. I sold my magic keyboard for $150, my M1 512 for $900, & Personalised pencil for $60. Total upgrade is around $1000, I'll take one!

Play with it in-store. Hold it for long periods, use the keyboard, etc. Although the screen real estate is nice, the weight does matter. In this case, the 13" weighing less than previous generations will also factor-in and maybe won't be an issue, but best to try at a store before making the big purchase. I went from the 2017 10.5 iPad Pro to the 2021 13" iPad Pro, but it's too heavy -- it'll be interesting to see if the new weight makes a difference, and with the new Magic Keyboard.

Typing reply on my 2015 1st Gen IPad Pro 12.9. Original battery and still gets all updates. Only negatives. Limited gb, no Touch ID. Great display.

I have bought the iPad once and not buying it ever again. It is useless for regular people other than RU-vid and mobile gaming. It's only good for digital artists and students who want to take handwritten notes digitally.
