I Want to make a shared playlist with my daughter. She is 8 years old and we both like to edit our holiday playlist. But she can’t edit te playlist? What am I doing wrong?
Let me understand this, calling out governments implementing laws to try and mitigate the behaviour of the extremely rich and powerful. While at the same time putting forward a theory Apple is playing games, and not calling them out for that BS and all the other manipulative BS this already do, which is attracting legal attention across the globe. Seriously, couldn't have named the channel more appropriately. Make a spin off called "Home of A.S.S" (Apple Stockholm Syndrome). You know it'll do well. Certainly a group of consumers that love their abuser 🤦♂️
While I hold no particular animosity towards Apple, it is important to acknowledge that fines should be sufficiently impactful to serve as a deterrent. Consider the example of a speeding ticket set at a flat rate of $200, regardless of the extent of the violation. For an individual earning $700,000 annually, such a fine is negligible, whereas it poses a significant burden for someone earning $30,000 annually. If the fine were adjusted to be 1% of the individual's annual income, the consequences would be more equitable. In this scenario, a person earning $700,000 would face a $7,000 fine, which would be substantial enough to deter future infractions. This proportional approach ensures that penalties are felt more equally across different income levels, thereby promoting compliance more effectively.
Not true. All Apple Intelligence features run on top of Apple's own Foundation AI model. The only feature that's powered by ChatGPT is if you ask Siri a general knowledge-based question.
The problem with AI might be the regulation on sharing of private data across services. Even though Apple's approach is way more privacy preserving than any other AI companies, the regulation is worded in such a way that Apple might get sued.
One of the reasons given for Apple Intelligence not being allowed in the EU is because it is only currently available in English and no other EU languages: according to something I read the other day, but didn’t verify. In the EU, and Italy in particular, laws are more suggestions.
That's more of an excuse than a reason. Many other features are only available in particular languages but aren't region-locked and many EU countries have a very high percentage of English speakers.
Nobody wants a gimped Vision Pro. There's nothing you could remove from it that wouldn't severely impact its usefulness. Also, I'm not convinced it would have much impact on sales. If you're in thee Apple ecosystem and can justify $1500, you can probably justify $3500.
If it was an issue of processing power, or let the guy with the Hair said “ they can record both inputs simultaneously“ why not? Isn’t that exactly what video does records from the microphone and the camera at the exact same time if you record multiple inputs that seems to be silly. If I had a speculate, I would have to do with the quality of the image or video dropping significantly while/after flipping but it is beyond maddening. The fact that I have to go to WhatsApp, Instagram, or god fucking forbid Snapchat to record a video of the front camera and then switch(even if there’s a delay) really makes Apple look like shit. they promised the cameras would do that starting last year or the year before? And they said something about it at a keynote for iPhone release and Will would be available later that year but then their never released the software.
(It's me, the guy with the hair) Microphone input is basically negligible in terms of computing power. Camera input is much more intense if you're recording 4K resolution, HDR color space, 60 frames per second. iPhones have up to three lenses on the back that it needs to be able to switch to instantly without any freezing or delay, so that means that the Image Signal Processor has to triple its input during recording. Adding the front-facing camera would make that quadruple. Sure, some phones don't have three rear lenses and some people don't record 4K60 HDR, but Apple doesn't like having complicated flow charts of whether a feature works or not - especially if it means a entry-level phones will have a feature that pro phones wouldn't.
I've changed my mind several times over the many years I've used a Mac as to which is the best browser, and I've come to the same conclusion as you present in this video. But you highlighted some additional benefits of Safari that I hadn't thought about. So thanks!
As a web developer I can just say: PLEASE use Chrome! The amount of stupid Safari bugs I have to fix every day is insane. OR if you're using Safari please don't be suprised when websites don't work as expected
I think for outside US you would need to change the location in general as well as the apple ID location. but I do not want to try the latter at the moment because you lose all (or most of) the purchased apps and in app purchases and can only change it once every 90 days. I am not sure if it would even be legal. But I really want to try it at some point because Apple One is a much better deal in the US because it is actually also cheaper compared to Switzerland, while at the same time offering more. I wonder who made the prices in Switzerland, they really do not make sense.
How ghost eyes ever made it to production is beyond me, and take all the processing power off my face and into my pocket and iPhone 16....I have to have a battery pack attached anyway. Just off loading the processing power will cut the price and weight a ton. Also it's mostly a content device, do deals with content providers, subsidize they crap out of it. MLB,NFL,NHL,NBA all could offer live content and subscriptions like seats in the front row. Movies, TV, Events, Concerts. When it's half the price or even free with subscriptions to content, and weight is a third of what it is now, it will be huge. I never liked the idea of the computer right against my face anyway, just put the display in the glasses.
Cheaper (and more comfortable/lighter) Apple Vision glasses could offload hardware cost by tethering to iPhone for processing and power. And a separate tethered Vision processor/battery pack could be offered for “standalone” Vision capability with more advanced features.
Makes sense that manufacturing cost for latest display and other components will reduce over time - and with increased volumes. So 2 years after initial launch, when new Apple Vision device is expected, there could be significant cost reductions. So a cheaper Vision device could maintain much of the quality level of initial Vision Pro - and Vision Pro could also see some cost reduction. Additionally if a cheaper Vision device is released, the Vision Pro could be upgraded to include newer Apple Silicon and other components without a major upgrade - to maintain it’s viability as a “pro” option.
If Apple degrades the quality of the screens, cameras or processing, I think that cheaper product would be DOA even at the cheaper $1500 price point. Sure, more people would be able to buy it, but would they want to. The experience wouldn't be the same, that visual wow factor seeing the world through Vision OS wouldn't be there. What Apple should do is figure out how to keep the core quality and feature set of Vision Pro and put that same level into a cheaper, lighter product. Something that could be removed are those exterior screens. Most people seem to be in agreement that it's not necessary and useless feature. Also, ditching the aluminum for plastic is another avenue they could explore for a cheaper product.
I imagine the average tech RU-vidr's discussion of the AVP must closely resemble the early skepticism about automobiles when they first emerged. Just as some men couldn't imagine being seen riding in the loud, belching monstrosity or the need for replacing horse-drawn carriages, many today struggle to see the potential of the AVP beyond superficial concerns. The horse-drawn carriage was once seen as perfect, much like current tech norms. The worse are the dull, unimaginative debates about how AVP wearers might appear less attractive highlight a lack of vision for how this technology could revolutionize the future.
You can work on your Mac and forget about going back and forth into your iPhone and back to computer. lots of things to do. personally I believe is a great solution. I used my android phone on windows, but is not a great integration;: however, it worked and was kind of useful. I was expecting this to be available on Mac and Iphone.
It’s great for tech support situations where I can remotely control and observe the Mac screen and with Airplay receiver I could also see the iPhone. But now I can also remotely control the iPhone as well to trouble shoot it as well.
Unfortunately I bought a series 9 in February. Hadn't heard of the deactivation of their Oxygen Sensor disable. Certainly won't buy another Apple Watch till 2028 or later, maybe. I may find another brand by then. 🤔
Wow,, the late 80s-early 90s were a confusing time. Apple will never have a product line so confusing ever again? *looks at the iPad lineup* Oh, nevermind....
