@@dadcars AutoLign. There’s a few around the country. I had a previous car checked years ago. Back then the car was completely removed from the register. Now it’s marked as Inspected. If it’s written off again Insurance companies accept that as then being the same value as a car which hasn’t been previously written off.

Not necessarily true, if you know what you are doing and know how much to max bid you can still get a good deal. It’s all based on your skills and how much work you can do yourself

@@callyk5678 yes agreed I’ve done two, my current car is worth double what I paid and repaired it. One before I made £3k when I traded it in. Got to buy low and know the cost of repair before buying.

I agree with this, I bought my car back after someone rear ended it. Took a bit of time to decide as due to all the rebuilding channels I feel that they want a lot more money for the cars now. I only bought mine back as I knew the full history, etc and had some old parts laying around so it made it economically viable to do. I'd probably still lose money if I was to sell it but I wanted to keep it as long as I can. I did sign up to Copart and bid on various cars but they went for a lot more money than I was willing to spend. So I feel it only makes sense if you can monetise it by doing it via youtube or have access to very cheap parts and mates rates for certain thing which you cannot do yourself.

The problem is there are the ucat, that can be sold as a good one, and car vertical or any checker can find out ​@dadcars

Except of course that not all crashed cars go through the insurance. You might get a bargain. And they arent saying "dont buy a crashed car" they are saying "dont unknowingly buy a crashed car and pay to much". Knowledge is power.

I think buying a crashed car that’s been fixed correctly and the repairs are documented is fine. But if what the seller is saying doesn’t match the Carvertical report that’s when you should avoid!

But that’s not how a lot of the ads for CarVertical come across. A lot of the ones I’ve seen from other RU-vidrs give the message that if it’s a crashed car it’s one to avoid. It might not be the message you get from this channel but on many others it is so I think it is a reasonable consideration if you are thinking of investing significantly to repair a crashed car. The C63 in this channel cost as much as an uncrashed one to get back on the road but is still worth considerably less as any buyer will either steer clear or want a significant discount.

I think for that money today you could get a really well kept one but yeah lower end of the market there will be defected maintenance

I’m 4 years into my ownership, and it most certainly hasn’t worn off, it still gives me the same giddy feeling I had from day one! I don’t think there’s anything on the market which can replicate what the C63 does at it’s price point 😁
