In this video, I compare the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 vs Gen 2 vs Gen 1. My goal with this video is to demonstrate the differences in terms of performance, not only in benchmarks but also in terms of real use.
If you're thinking of buying a phone with any of these processors, also think about the rest of the components and how the company optimize them. Processors are important for cameras, battery, and even connectivity, but perhaps software optimization and how that processor is leveraged is even more important.

Fair, but what settings are available while still playable, can you max it out to the highest settings and if so can how long can it maintain that peak performance? I would think, if you set a flagship SoC to midrange settings it would perform better and maintain it's cool, but idk.

Thats how most companies are using them right now. Also, there’s no use for so much power nowadays, so most people won’t even notice their Gen 3 performing like a Gen 2. As for midrange processors, these usually don’t heat up as much usually.

@@New3scT3ch That's very true! The average consumer won't notice a huge difference, and they most likely wouldn't know what to use the power for. However I think it's nice to have, if you actually use it, an older flagship or good mid range would be good for most tasks.

@@micahjohnson9184 I use Poco F5 (SD 7+ gen 2 ) and Mi13t pro (Dimensity 9200 ultra) whenever I play genshin max settings the latter gets hot faster for similar fps I use a phone cooler to maintain decent temperature

Great video! Certainly, the S23 Ultra is capable of the same. As the most of the S24 Ultra AI features should be coming to the S23 Ultra later on. It's nice to see the sustained performance on the 8 gen 2 for One Plus 12R, coupled with that cooling it makes sense. Yeah not everyone needs the best, just if the SoC works well pick which ever works best for you.
