Is It Worth It? $100 a Night to Camp at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground 

Great video!! I did the exact same last minute booking for two days when I hooked up with Scott Watson for his drive-in meet. After that meeting, I needed to figure out what to do for three nights until Scott's VanBoree event at his new Air BNB property...EPIC party palace. So, got online and was surprised I could book two days! When I arrived, I asked for a third day and got it. It was really a great time. I rode my Lectric e-bike down to the boat docks each evening, smoked cigars and had several Bud-Lite seltzers at the dock's sitting area. Chatted up a lot of people. Took the boat to MK and hit the monorail over to the Polynesian for lunch. Lots of trips to FW Campgrounds and Lots of great memories. Absolutely worth every penny they charge. There's nothing like being on campus and checking out from the world...Their comfort stations are awesome and my handicapped mother and care giver sister just loved them. Yes, the EPCOT food and wine tour is a MUST!! My last trip with my mother was all about what she wanted to do. I was pretty much lit up about 1/5th the way around...Didn't make Germany...No problem, there. Came back the next two days and had a ball...🤣

You almost always give abundant and relevant details in your videos, but this one was extremely light on facts about campground amenities - nothing about the pools, boats, horseback riding. Trails End or kennels

We loved camping there with the kids, because there is so much to do. Many times we didn't even go to the parks, just stayed and enjoyed the campground. Have a wonderful holiday season!

We stayed there once. It’s convenient. The boat ride over to MK is neat. The busses are convenient. You need a few days just to see and experience FW. It’s massive. It’s also expensive and we have a Thousand trails membership so we stay there. The stay late for Disney guests is nice. It’s worth staying there at least once.

Another great video. My wife and I were at Fort Wilderness a few years ago in October as part of a big Roadtrek Rally with Mike and Jennifer Wendland. We need to get back there again!

We camped here in the '90s. It was great, plus it didn't cost $100. a night. I called and made reservations, then I sent a check to pay. We lost our tickets the first day, oh no! Someone found them and turned them in, How kind. We enjoyed staying there in our motor home for a week.

Our FAVORITE campground! We already have reservations December 2022 ! We had reservations this year but I was in the hospital so we had to cancel. The new horse barn is "to die for" if you are horse folk, as we are.

Fort Wilderness was one of the first RV campgrounds Kara and I ever stayed in. It set the bar pretty high. I loved it there, though. I think it's totally worth the $100/night. You couldn't stay at any of the resorts for that, for sure.

Our favorite campground but definitely expensive. During September it used to be $90 a night, now the lowest rate is $103 in September and during spring you can get 20% discount many times.

I love smoked sardines in ramen noodles with a little more soy sauce added and a few drops of lime juice. Then add a little green onion. Great video! Haven't made the leap to pay for a campground that's over a $100/nite. I will probably bite the bullet soon.

Disney does such a great job at creating that happy warm feeling 😊 ✨ The only thing that they have dropped the ball on is pricing and sit down restaurant food quality. We live in Florida and it was cheaper to book 2 day tickets for out of state than the Florida rates. Still love Disney just need to increase our budget and savings goal. We could set up an s&p 500 index fund 😆

I have gone twice. First in March, second time in July. Definitely go in cooler weather with less crowds.

Thank you for sharing a video about Fort Wilderness. Are the shuttle buses & boat rides to this campsite free-of-charge? Any daily discount for staying at FW during off-season? $100 each night is steep unless there is free transportation to campsite and from the theme parks. However, the average national park cost is $45 per night for full hookups. Your food shots at Epcot look delicious!

We were in Fort Wilderness the same week! We were also on the 2000 loop. We could have been neighbors!! Anyway, cool video.

They used to not put Christmas decor up til after Thanksgiving but the crowds waited and were too large. Now you can go during the whole holiday season and enjoy. The orl park is built on the “second floor”. The lakes were created as they took dirt to cover the first floor ( now underground) their business and employees operations are all underground. THAT’s where they put almost everything.

If all you’re showing in the video (except food and drink) is included in the 100 bucks for the two of you, I’ll definitely say its worth it! Merry Christmas - and thanks for sharing a lot of great videos throughout the year. See you in 2022!😎

Wow i think i remember watching last time when you visited Disney Ft Wilderness ...and feel quite sad all the time we lost between then and now. I feel like ...strangely....we lost more than time. Yes there has been a lot of losses since then and now. Are we sadder? We are wiser that's for sure. Remember the episode you went up to the Goonies' house? Wow we were all a bit more sparkly then. Please help me out and list how we are better now. 😶😎 Glad the two of you made this video in the format of those days. I miss the big white one. Both!

Sometimes you deserve a treat. What nice bathrooms. Especially if someone has 5 kids and an RV it is definitely worth it. By how it is fully booked it seems to be worth it to many! But then MANY people bought brand new RVs ... and many of those bought it CASH. So i guess many of those are the people who know how to transfer other people's money to their pockets and also not hand it all over to the taxman in the process. The rest of us stay one night or watch videos about it. 😁😁😁

Boats are only running to the MK currently, the resort boats aren't; hopefully that changes soon. 2000 loop isn't all that bad, you're pretty close to the Wilderness (Cabin) pool that's less congested and quieter than the main pool. Good video.
