great video I’m loving the repack opening and appreciate your candid thoughts on the whole Master’s 25 and the “drama” in the community and the way that this has been fanned by some content creators. I’m going to draft masters 25 on Friday as I cant justify dropping that much on a box with such a low ev given the mythics and rares in the set. I’ll let you know how my draft pulls go. Last time I pulled a snapcaster and the draft before cavern of souls in my last 2 masters drafts.

I was thinking about mtg being an escape the other day while playing pauper for the first time. My girlfriend was with me and playing as well but she kept making mistakes because her mind was running and I explained to her that I play so I don't have to think about anything. It's an escape is the best answer. Its so true. Congrats

Im loving the direction you channel is going. I agree 100% on celebrating the game we love. Just as one of the commentors said, it is an escape... that is what i tell people when asked why i like mtg. They capture my imagination like no other game. Its new, nostalgic and timeless all at the same time... Bad boy mtg, thanks for having a positive attitude on your channel for the game that I and many others cherish.

There are so many mtg cards that are magic staples that they could’ve reprinted in magic 25 and they didn’t. And I agree with Joey that the mythic spots are horrible. There’s so many cards they could’ve added to the mythic slot. Like liliuana of the viel or karn.

i've done bulk before but not solid rare only, and i've gotten two 1000 card packs from star city games which both had 5-6 foil rares in them

Goblin kaboomist is worth a couple bucks. I saw one of him in there. And chancellor of the forge I think is worth a buck

You hit the nail on the hammer with 25 years having value my card shop went through 4 boxes maybe more and I was the only one to pull a Jace it's like ratio is garbage I am extremely skeptical about magic and buying booster packs there's just no value to the risk anymore, honestly for 25 they should've reprinted a mox or something

My fiance and i met at a tournament i came in 4th with a bfz hydra green red starter deck and we have been together coming up to 3 years but masters sets i dont buy into and the last time i pulled a foil mana leak and seen the foil blue with mana in the name and was sooo mad lmao but i love your vids also do you think domiaria is worth buying into? #goatslivesmatter

I may not know everything from cards to sets all the way to wizards of the coast, but I do enjoy the game. Like Phillip said it's an escape but how can you escape negativity if there's negativity in your escape. I enjoy the game and I always will but I just wish I had more people to play with.

I wonder if Starcity have ever taken a pile of these to an open and offered them for a sealed event. That would be rad as hell. Would probably need to be 60 cards decks though.

2 years in the future and those rares have aged really well. Definitely a few pulls. Nothing amazing but good to see that long term this product could be good!

Now that we re a good time from launch, people have realized that M25 and Iconic arent that bad. The boxes are upto $180. I had great luck with my Iconic box - which I got for 130 right before they went back up . I woulda broke the bell if I had one. I got 2 Horizon Canopys (which paid for the box right there), Mana Drain, Flutterstorm, Ancestral Visions, Cryptic Command, Grove O/T Burnwillows, Aether Vial, Lotus Cobra, Kiki-Jiki, a few Thran Dynamos, Mishra's Baubles and Lightning Helixs, Serra Ascendant, Run-Scarred Demon, Genesis Wave, Supreme Verdict, but I also got Curse of Predation and my foil rare was the white spirit dragon. The only thing I didnt get was Avacyn and the Bloodghast. I also got a box of M25, first card was the Chalice of the Void, then it was down hill after that. Im sure broke even and then some (got that box for $130 as well) but thats only cuz the Chalice is like 50-60 bucks now and i got the box for cheap.

The name "masters 25" seemed like more of a hook to lure people in similar to iconic masters, if they really cared about the secondary market then I think they would have catered to big cash grabs. I really had hope that they would have researched to see what cards got played over what did not. To be honest talking among friends at home we discussed what we thought would have been nostalgic to see such as the old border for the sets pre-dating 7th ed, use brown for artifacts and drop in a shivan dragon (i know it has been printed over and over but in the time people searched for it more than any other). I do remember a time when cards only had collector value before the birth of modern but that has long passes, the community nearby seems to worry about the value and you almost never see cards being handed down to new players anymore because people know there is a value associated with each card. I am certain wizards does not want to print out money due to their morals, but slowly administering reprints of hot cards into the game seems to mess with more than it helps. These are just opinions. Sorry if anyone is offended.

Theory. What if wizards of the coast is purposfully making bad sets so then when they release mediocre sets they seen really good compared to all the shit they have been throwing at us?

I pre ordered a 25 box when there weren't a lot of spoilers available yet... And as time progressed my frown did get bigger. I didn't cancel it or anything but I do hope we are missing something as well. The mythic slot increase would be nice, or maybe there will be hidden Expeditions or something... I actually had a connection to pre-order boxes at like 170 and I was going to get two of them and I told my guy never mind I'm not impressed at all its iconic Masters all over again.

In my opinion, the Masters 25 release is just Wizards' best attempt to make as much money as possible in the shortest time possible: they're inluding a few highly valued mythics, like Jace the Mind Sculptor, and are trying to make a big deal out of it. Furthermore, the fact that he's legal in modern JUST as they're releasing a new set with him in it just seems like a way to make more money off anyone who feels lucky enough to get it and needs it for a deck. This combined with the low amount of mythics per box and Wizards over hyping the good cards means people will flock to try and get those cards in a box in hope of some value, but it's mainly one big cash grab for Wizards. - Stating the Obvious

I haven't bought a box of masters 25 but I bought maybe 15 boosters and best I pulled was protean hulk and path of negation so far disappointed but again like I said I'm buying individual boosters

I bought 1000 rares for 100$ with the same s&h but I thought it was great with duplicates. It was like 7 years ago so older shit

Remember: boxes are meant for draft not cracking :) if you’re expecting a return on opening boxes, then you’re doing it wrong. Buy singles, not boxes.

I really just laugh at how you're being serious then 'that's a good/cool card' then go straight back to being serious like you didn't break character at all.
