I just took delivery(5-11) of a 2020 GMC 3500HD AT4, and I'll leave it be, I have a 2002 GMC 2500HD w/LB7 that's been pumped up, and it's more than enough for me to play with...
Excellent video man. I'm waiting after the warranty for mine. I've owned my 21 for a year now and only have 8500 miles. Its my Gucci truck. I only drive it on the weekends or wheneveri need to tow. I can't wait to get that sound.
Just bought 22 AT4. Waiting on Banks cold air intake page to update to 22. To the questions; What would you recommend that I do to this truck keeping the commercial warranty? I had to buy the warranty because of a work program. Bumper to bumper for 140k miles. I’m concerned and wondering what I can do that’ll keep this truck healthy? Thank you Sir appreciate all your video content.
Might be grabbing a 2020 soon. Waiting to see if my lml sells soon.. Going to miss the twins and the 3794 for its sound. Just curious how do u think the 2020 10 speed tuned feels vs the 2019 6 speed?
To me, I'd rather keep it stock and legal. I have no problem and MOST WILL be having LOTS of problems With the Transmission not matching up, don't say I didnt tell you so.
Thank you so much buddy. I’m going to hold off on my tune after understanding your points. I’ll wait until all the issues get settled then I’ll tune her. Got a Brownstone Metallic AT4 and it’s a dream truck!
I understand wanting to tune trucks. But for the life of me, the cost of tuning these newer trucks is not worth the money. They come with plenty of power, and Banks Derringer seems like a fine product. My only concern with buying a newer truck is the emissions equipment. I can't justify replacement costs.
That last part on the end. After not using the DEF for so long wanted throwaway DEF concentration code because of the water slowly evaporating, would it cause any issues solidifying the DEF or anything like that. DEF just sucks got to get rid of it in my opinion
@@DennyDiesel wonder if they would fit with offset. I know offset actually adds to wheel rub.. I'm buying a 2021 silverado 2500hd and want the biggest wheels i can buy with max a 2.5" leveling kit. Want a bit off offset cuz I'm throwing flares on it too, nothing crazy tho.
Thanks man - very informative! Have a dealer pressing me to buy given the discounts. Had an 18 Dura Denali and wish I still had it but traded it on a 1500 AT4 when it came out. Now I really want the AT4 Dura and a delete - I need that sound. Hands down it's a need not a want. So I should figure $6k and a trip to PA to get it done properly?
The VGT system in general is light years better than a non variable turbo. It spools so much quicker and does a much better job at being fuel efficient. Non VGT turbos belong is race or pulling trucks only imo
Towards the end about capping off the DEF tank and filling it up won’t the fluid over time crystallize? I have a 2020 AT4 that I want to fully change out to a “high flow emissions compliant system” with just a sport economy tune. But want to know if there’s full piping kits not just exhaust for the stock turbo cause I actually want to keep that stock intact.
I have that exact truck but it’s a 2021 how much would it be for me to tune it to make it sound just like that one should I got a 5 inch exhaust from the Cadillac converter back or a four-inch And I’m putting a cold air intake on it I want to change the downpipe and the manifolds in the up pipe and then I’m thinking about changing the intercooler cold piping hot pipe
Hey Denny, I've got a 18 l5p and getting ready to lose a bunch of parts on it. Just cant make up my mind which tuning company to go with. Dont plan on dogging it and not towing anything more than a 26ft boat. Mainly just looking to get the sound out of it. What can you suggest? Thanks
I have the same truck in the Denali. Don’t delete or tune. Banks makes incredible system for this truck called the Derringer, pedal monster, exhaust and cold air intake. Retains warranty and truck is absolute beast at over 520 hp on dyno and 1k ft. of torque. The difference is amazing you won’t be disappointed
Worthy also to mention in the event one decides to trade a deleted/tuned truck into a dealer, legally they can't accept the trade without it meeting OEM emissions being intact. If you're lucky to find one, you better have kept all your OEM parts to be re- installed. Either way you're going to take a bath on the trade. But as you indicated, it's irrelevant if you're keeping the truck long-term. Great content.
I have a 17 Denali and all I want is it to sound good, it does good for me power wise and fuel efficient enough. If I get this straight even if I put on the aftermarket pipe and keep the def and all that it won’t make a difference in power or sound?
Is there a tuner that won’t void my powertrain warranty? Again I just really want to add an intake and exhaust without codes. What brand of tuner do you recommend? Thanks
Full exhaust and delete adds a lot of power and torque that the stock components were not designed for. All the turbo diesel engines make huge power and torque when they are allowed to breathe properly. Cant blame the dealers / GM for not honoring the warranty on a transmission when someone pushing 600hp and 1100tq through it. Wasnt built for that. On the other hand, all the children out "rolling coal" in the mall parking lot started making people think about the pollution, which has made its way to the EPA unfortunately. They will be cracking down on this. Likely sooner than later. California just BANNED gasoline lawn equipment if that tells you anything. So yeah its coming.
Is it a lift or torsion keys? If so what brand and size. I have that exact truck. Wanted to level and fit 35s but if I can do 37s well that's what I'd do
I’m trying to figure out if I should go to the bank stuff or if I should do an actual tune if I should do the banks Derringer and pedal monster with three pods or if I should do a real tune
@richard parker id be interested to know if youve handcalculated this number. and what speed you're driving alot of tuners do not correct the lie o meter when you tune the LML
So u delete for anyone if so are u anywhere near north Carolina ,i have a 2019 Chevy dually 3500hd ltz about 5200miles on it not im about to do alot of towing with it so i need it to last long and some sound from it would be great what would u Recommend
Is trans tuning required? If you baby it and punch it once in a while, about how long would you think the stock trans last before you start running into issues
What intrested in getting pulled over and fined 10k! I do inspections on vechiles in mass and every truck with anything deleted gets reported to the registry instantly no to mention it's a instant emission fail that then is flagged in the system.
@@victorgirouard1543 save the world 1 DEF bottle at a time!!! nothing like burning more fuel to get rid of carbon.......????? that is too heavy to pollute the air anyways so it falls instead of rises in the atmosphere??? fucking useless you people are.
What would you say the height difference is between the white L5P and a 17-19 stock height...I think the 2020s are 2” higher so a 3” that’s basically a 5” lift for a 17-19 to look like that 2020? Great vid !
Mannnnn this thing sounds good! Thats the only thing I hate about my 2020 2500 AT4 is that it sounds so quiet! Whats the current cost to do something like this on a 2020 and is the port out so I dont get error messages? Anyone you can recommend in AZ?
@@justinclinard2000 Yes and it didn’t change the sound hardly enough to notice and no change with fuel economy and might’ve actually hurt it. I stuck my foot in my mouth. But I traded that my 23 for the updated 24’. I got the 2500 GMC Ultimate. I’m just going to do the banks air box, and turbo boost tubes, and a Pulsar V3 with edge. That turbo lag is going to get me killed with this new truck. My other truck was the same until I got the upgrade. Been a couple times I pulled out in traffic and the lag was 1-2 secs. The intake banks boost tubes was money well spent. I have been watching reviews and the new Pulsar V3 really steps up the throttle position sensor.
Im curious about ur thoughts on the epa crack down.. raiding shops and fines to us regulars. I own a 2020 AT4. I wouls absolutely love to delete. But am scared cuz of all that is going on
@@kevinswartz2396 thanks for the info. But i also herd the epa is going after hpi tunes. Not sure thats right. I am new to diesel tunes.. but they are going after the guy who makes the chips for are gmc trucks. They want all the vins.. he is fighting them.. its so hard to kno what to believe. Lol
