Thanks Throp excellent initiative. Jamaica’s soil is nutrient, vast amount of rivers, streams, and ponds including the sun the ecosystem is just fruitful. Farming should have not taken out of Jamaica culture, it should have been one of the leading sources dominating the nation. Jamaica is wealthy we need leaders with vision and sustainable leadership with honest governance. Thank you I loooov your RU-vid content. Keep going!!
Great interview, however I didn't like how the guess seems to be pushing for the use of chemicals, profit over health and down playing organic farming which is on the rise
The big mistake with farming in jamaica, is lack of industrial partnerships with farmers and their produce, and the access with agricultural tractors to relieve the burden of the fields ,and to find new products for package and storage.
This is not the full video i came to understand. So maybe some of these things were mention in the full video. But just in case they did not. First we need to move away from the old way of farming. Where you have small farmers useing a four teeth iron fark to plough land. We need the right farming equipment. Storage for our produce. To be educated on how to pot into the local such as the hotels restaurantes gust houses and supermarts. Where millions of dollars worth of produce imported into the country each year. Insted of just be a street side vender or sit in the local markplace all day
The beef in Jamaica is 50% the cost of beef in Canada... And the cattle are always grass fed... Farming plants is a dead end, humans eat ruminate meat with lots of animal fat. Google it, people are curing all their ailements mind and body... Look into Michela Peterson's ted talk.
