What people dont understand about the Sixers is the reason they struggle vs a team like the Celtics or Raptors at times is not just because Simmons cant shoot its because Embiid and Simmons get in eachothers way Embiid takes up space because he has to occupy the post majority of the time making it easier for the defense to help off Simmons when Embiid doesnt play its alot more difficult to stop Sixers need a new coach Simmons has to get a jumpshot and and Embiid has to improve his 3 pt shot more in order for this duo to reach its full potential

As a Sixers fan, I can honestly say given a couple of years, Ben Simmons will be the most valuable on this team. He’s not nearly as injury prone as Joel. Without Joel clogging up the paint he can get any shot he wants down there, and when they double he kicks it to the shooters and the jumper will come with time. When that happens, he’d be in the class with giannis and harden as “unguardable”.

Now Embiid in the future Simmons.

It's very hard to say who will be better long term because both have had significant injuries, especially Embiid. Both are very talented though but until Simmons gets a decent jumper I'm taking Embiid.

Embiid health is troublesome but unless Simmons learns to shoot he is going to be a liability. He can get away with right now because of his athleticism but 3-4 years down the road he probably won’t be able to. Also I get the feeling he is going to split to la first chance he gets

Simmons is because of Embides health issues. How long is Embide going to be this good while his health is clearly getting the best of him. Simmons is clearly healthier and built for the long haul.

We'd LOVE to have Embiid in Boston. This fanbase wont boo you and will give you the same energy you give us. Nothing like winning in the Garden man, we love our guys and got their backs more than any other fanbase in the world.

Instead of trading Simmons, how about the front office stop fucking up and wasting its other valuable assets. From drafting Markelle Fultz to trading the 2021 Heat first round unprotected pick and Landry Shamet....those are horrible decisions. Keep both of them and surround them the right players. Let go of Harris and Butler and chase the top 5 players (KD, Kawhi, Irving, Klay and Kemba) in free agency. Randle could also be another option and a lot less to sign.

With that said, has anyone ever considered the notion that Ben Simmons last Summer studied tape of the Boston series?What he came away with was that "I need to work on different ways to penetrate." It is obvious that he didn't work on his jump shot even a little bit. Simmons appears to be a lot more crafty with the ball and getting anywhere he wants to on the court, hence the idea that he worked on dribble penetration. If I were Coach Brown I would run my offense with a high/low post with Jimmy B running the point. Ben Simmons at the high post with his height, court vision, and passing ability it would be a rap. He would have so many options- (Kick it out to Reddick or back to Jimmy B. Out to Tobias Harris. Dump it down into the low post to Joel. Maybe even a pump fake, than Dibble drive). I guess my point is the coach needs to be more creative and flexible in finding ways for these two players to fit together, and at the same time get everyone else their touches.

As a Sixers fan ill say this Simmons plays better without Embiid because when Embiids on the court it Embiid takes up some of the space because he occupys the post with the current state of Embiid and Simmons skill level Simmons is better off in a situation like Giannis has in Milwaukee with a stretch big like Lopez and he can just drive to the paint and kick to shooters when help comes in that being said if Simmons gets a jumpshot him and Embiid would be a better fit together if Simmons could space the floor even just decently all this being said if Embiid doesnt play next series the Sixers have no chance vs the Raptors
