Excuse me Candyman is a masterpiece of horror cinema , and social nuance the scene in that movie where in 30 seconds they tell you all that needs to be said about Candyman .Oh you meant that remakje reboot whatever well i havent seen it .
The movie get out was all hype, don’t get me wrong it was a solid movie. but it was basically a Knock off of The Skeleton Key which nobody has ever argued to be a all time horror movie like get out supposedly is.
I agree. And peele has gone on record confirming he will be confined to this trope. Stan Lee in a scene in every marvel movie is a trope, as is Tarantino and red apple tobacco. Will peeles trope get old? Idk cuz he’s so brilliant I doubt it but can’t wait to find out. Btw dude butchered his name. M night ShuhMallEeYin 😂😂😂
This guy must have skimmed and scanned the movie because it was definitely about taking over black bodies and suppressing the soul to do so and when the picked a prospect it was like a slave auction… this guy is lost
I was wondering about that too. I understand where he is coming from with his interpretation but it feels ignorant to the experiences of Black Americans which Peele was obviously trying to portray.
@@treesap2 yes and his comments were not of symbolism it was his assumption that the writer/ director vision and idea represented what his idea was and it’s wrong
@@J_hill87 That isn't what he said. He said "The movie is about ____." Not "the director's vision was ____." The difference is that the artist can attempt to insert a message into their art, bit often even the artist doesn't know all the ways that theor art can be interpreted.
