I'm just so glad I watched "Get Out" blind. Just turned on TV one day when it started. Not every day you get to watch a masterpiece with legit zero spoilers or preconceptions.

I love how he's like "no, the segregation of milk and fruit loops isn't a metaphor. It's just that if you eat cereal without milk, you've got to be a psychopath!"

My favorite theories are the ones that make the creators go: “.... y-yup. I totally meant that...”

I love how open he is about this. Not al directors/book authors are willing to confirm or deny theories in such a straightforward way

The scary thing is this movie reminded me of a gentleman I met once when I was a teen. There was an older gentleman I knew that had a similar injury/wound as those with brain transplants that would frequent the barbershop to get his hair cut. But his injury was more gruesome. He wore a wig to cover the top of his scalp which was partially missing or something: so you could see part of his brain. And he'd have to treat the wound constantly to prevent infection. The only way you'd know is if you were in the barbershop when he was getting a hair cut. And he would only get the sides cut. The barber thought I was mature enough, and that it was important enough, for me to see it. The gentleman reluctantly showed me and a few others. We were told that his injury was a severe reaction and treatment to an experiment he was involuntarily involved in decades ago that left him in such a state. That's when we began to have conversations about the Tuskegee experiment and other experiments involuntarily done to 'blacks' in the past. The barber thought it important for me and others to not only know that history but to know that it's not just history: there were still some of our people living with the consequences of such experiments. This was in the 90s in Detroit at Bob's barbershop on 7 Mile with Melvin the barber before he moved to Atlanta. Lost touch with Melvin but always wanted to say thank you to him for the free cuts for good report cards and such. I appreciate it

I love that he says thank you and he clearly means it every time someone notices a detail he worked hard to include and give meaning.

Lots of respect for just having an open and honest dialog with fans about their theories. Get Out is the best horror/thriller movie ever. It's a masterpiece. One thing I always hate about horror movies is that they can't scare or creep me out or give me serious thrill or suspense. This movie gave me all that, it seriously creeped me out. I loved it.

When the lady is checking Chris out and touching him, when she looked at her husband in the wheel chair and said “not bad, not bad at all, right?” it sounded like she was looking at a new car, a new body for her husband.

He is actually doing great, he is either straight up accepting or straight up denying the fan theories. Which is good because most of directors/authors says it is on audience perspective and blah blah blah.and they want to float various theories around the world.

I also thought of something else. When Rose told Chris that her dad would probably tell him that President Obama is the best President of his lifetime and it’s going to suck. Yet she claimed she never dated a black man. That’s a very specific thing to say AND she knows it going to suck because she had to deal with her victim’s awkwardness in that moment for 8 years of his Presidency.

Jordan Peele is a straight up legend, the oscar was well deserved

It’s amazing that one day he just started making really complex and thought provoking thriller/horror movies just out of nowhere. Didn’t know he had so much talent.

I like this. I get art is open for interpretation and finding your own meaning and takeaways, and I get why an artist will do the whole "Its for me, its my meaning" and "its all for you to figure out" but it was refreshing and down to Earth to see an artist just say "Nah this is what I intended, this is what that meant". Also liked he found some ideas interesting and even if it wasn't what he meant was like "Yeah I get that"

I really like this. A lot of directors say cheesy things like "it's up to the audiences imagination" when theories are brought up. He is letting us know exactly what he was trying to say in his movie and I admire that.

i picked up on a few of these hints, like the no smoking and the grandpa running, but seeing so much more was put into it, wow what a great in depth movie. jordan is definitely one of the best screenplay writers of this generation

There needs to be a sequel to this movie that explores the origin of the “group” that Roman Armitage refers to, and also maybe have it revealed that this procedure was being done all around the world and explains many of the abductions that have taken place around the world

I really appreciate Mr.Peele’s transparency on the deeper meanings and messages in his movies. Not only because all of his movies have a real messages behind them, but you can rewatch them multiple times and look for certain hints/easter eggs and then brag about what you caught to your friends lol. Some authors and directors are all secretive and want you to make of the story whatever your mind creates, and it’s so off putting to me that I will just wont try to look for the deeper meaning because theirs no point if I won’t even know if I was right in the end! Lmao.

To answer the person that mentioned the fruit loops and milk beeing seperate, there are people that only eat when their food isn't mixed (no solids with liquids and/or all has to be seperated). I know someone that when they eat something like rice with beans and chicken, each part of the meal cannot be mixed. They all have to be separate for him to eat them.

I never realized Get Out is such a complex movie! I always liked it and thought the idea and message were great, but I missed a lot of subtle details during my watch years ago. Definitely love that Jordan Peele is talented in both comedy and horror movies
