Hey mate long time viewer, this is a great idea can we make this into a series? Just old classic strong Commander's and see where they are today.

Love this idea. This could become a regular series with revisiting classic strong commanders

I've definitely been of the mindset that Karador has always been a backup plan type of commander, as Abzan graveyard decks self-pilot themselves just fine w/o a commander. However, he's still one of my favorite all time commanders because his ceiling is so high; you can usually cast him very easily, he's great at getting back win cons, etc. Basically any Abzan strategy benefits from a "you get 1 creature back every turn" type of commander. He's basically the Aurelia of Abzan.

Can we get 2 short games in 1 video? I need more commander replay awesomeness.

It’s happened in the past. I just wanted the short work day :)

Oof. I don't mind watching these kinds of games, but I hate playing them. I feel bad for the poor Pia player who did next to nothing before getting ground into the pavement.

I would deeply enjoy a mini series where he tries to tune up old school decks to see how they do. This was a great example of how strong some or those decks can be.

sadness, 11:52 and you crushed it. Either way, ty for the video =]. I made a centaur tribal karador, perhaps something to consider for a fair version xD.

Karador continues to be my favorite deck. May take your advice and get some more ramp at one. Thanks!

Ayy i literally just put him together today for the first time. Was thinking it was a worse Muldrotha with different colors, but his cost reduction is damn good.

Thank you for the change in pace video. I love all of your videos, but this one was some nice spice added to the usual.

One of my friends has this in paper, and karador barely gets on the battlefield
@CommanderReplay

Thats what i was expecting to happen, but it just seemed to work out that Karador was perfectly what we wanted right here. Turns out it its still pretty good.

It seemed to me that Nethroi just does what Karador does but better.
@CommanderReplay
@CommanderReplay 3 года назад
On the surface that is probably true but I think the actual answer is a bit more nuanced. Nethroi seems a bit more all in, as you need that mutate to resolve. I think karador is much more resilient to removal. Just my thoughts.

Muldrotha the grave tide looks so powerful on paper, idk why it's not played more?

It was at one point the most popular commander on EDHREC. It seems people got bored of it.
@jonnystorms3310

I've found that Muldrotha struggles at tables that have large amounts of interaction. She's basically a snowball type of deck so if you aren't ever able to get the ball rolling you suffer
@Onattamato
@Onattamato 3 года назад
@@jonnystorms3310 Plus she's 6CMC so if you get her nuked right away (very likely to happen because Muldrotha) she can become too expensive.
