A break from the game is really necessary with a game like this. I usually feel the monotony after finishing 2 or 3 seals, but it always feels fresh once you com back to it.

As someone who's played 230 hours of the base game, I was curious to see what underlying updates came with this DLC, besides the obvious. Glad to see there will be some fun surprises in terms of cornerstones, etc. Straight-to-the-point, easy-to-understand review! Thanks! 🙂

Having put a few hours into it, I'm not a huge fan of the cloak change. It's ok in biomes where you can get resin, but on a fresh save without harpy houses harpies become a real hassle in the wrong biomes. I've also been struggling with boots, they just seem to take forever to craft and I can never keep up.

Finally RU-vid has brought one of your videos to my feed! I'm currently playing frostpunk 2 but I'll buy the dlc as I want to support hooded horse and eremite, even if the dlc might not be amazing

Oh hi there, long time no see! Happy to have you again on the comment section o/ And Frostpunk 2 is also on my to-do list, there's just so much stuff to cover these days. But 11bit don't need my promotion as badly as Hooded Horse ;) And btw, the DLC is by no means bad.

So far so good. I've played over 1000 hours of the base game, it's been my "mental health safe space" since the day it came out. I am loving the DLC and if you enjoy the base game, then it is well worth the money

One weird aspect - lizards still get a resolve boost from being in a temple, but they no longer get a resolve boost from religion (and they never got one from education).

I was a bit surprised by the price of this DLC vs. what was included, but I love the game enough that I went for it anyway.

I saw in the twitch stream, that there was a small spoiler. In the menu background options, there was a setting for Industrious city. I wonder what that may bring in the future. ;)

So: Lizards have abandoned their Faith for Boots. Harpies have switched to a gluten-free diet of Paste and Jerky. And they also want new Boots. Foxes have stopped their wicked ways of drunken debauchery, and found their peace of mind in the Sacred Flame. And new Boots.

MY concern here is that they literally charge (in my currency) half the price of the full game for this DLC. Do you think it justifies that price? I love this game and want the DLC but the asking price is extremely high.

Yes, it is a justified price. The Frogs enable you to play completely new playstyles (population growth) and create nice new variations into the game. Basically the earlier you get the DLC, the more you'll get out of it. Most of the content (besides the new Biome) meshes very organically into the rest of the game. So yeah, might look pricey, but there's a lot of meat on the frog leg ;) And the new biome itself is a blast and offers again another layer of variations into your game experience which enriches the game as a total.

Besides, the devs have made a lot of changes and brought many small but new additions to the game since launch. And those were completely free. I think they deserve the right to set the price for the new stage of their game's evolution.

I agree the price is high for what is in the dlc, 13 euro can get you really great full games now, and Steam has great sales often. There's no urgency to buy it, just wait for a sale and play something else in the meantime. It's on my wishlist to grab as soon as the price dips a bit lower.
