The reason why we Jamaican call him Asafa 2.5 it’s not a comparison but it’s because he seems to be the first world beater For Frano since Asafa as a male sprinter
If you have listened to Frano talking about getting ready for a race. It would have me believe, he has not done the finishing touch to the Kishane project.
If you listen to franno carefully, his athletes are still training and will definitely be ready for Paris and de whole world knows exactly what time it is. The greatest coach to ever do it!!!
8:10 The Jamaicans are looking good this year and not only that they are hungry for gold medals. I'm ready to clap my pot covers in MN. God is ready to bless Jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇺🇸 I kove this podcast please keep this coming. Very interesting topics ❤
This man, Kishane Thompson is so DANGEROUS! It's CRAZY!!! From heats to finals! Thompson and Seville.. You're looking at a probable gold and silver. It's exciting! Love the podcast guys!!
I never thought I would ever be listening to Justin Gatlin on his podcast as a Jamaican and enjoying it. Justin, this was excellent. You just made a new fan and I am looking forward to more congratulations.
Second coming of Asafa? 🤔🤔nah. This dude Kishane is a run away freight train, ain’t no tightening or giving up when put under pressure like Asafa, which Justin and Tyson knew.
Oblique is the new Asafa, I heard this dude is just injury prone, if he finds his stride, its lights out for us, those Jamaicans will be on our Apples!!!
@d3mist0clesgee12 can y'all stop putting this on Seville, he is not a new Asafa he is still young and with experience he will medal and I have a feeling this year is the year he will medal.
I hope he is not the second coming of Asafa because Asafa had the unfortunate tendency to crumble under pressure. I therefore hope Thompson is of a stronger mindset...if he is, he will be hard to beat.
Nuff respect to Justin and I am sorry but I didn’t get your name. Great podcast. I think you found your niche really great commentary and analysis. I am also happy to see how fair the analysis is. But just big up to the US , but fair analysis to all the different athletes. All we care about is great competition. True words when you said Caribbean people will gwaan bad if we feel like we getting dissed. Tell Noah nuh do it. just run and stop chat so much.
We are hoping all the best for him and all the other sprinters from across the globe because the best should be competing against the best in the Olympic finals.
I learnt 1 thing when franno say an athlete is in the best shape of his her life results materialise. He first said this about elaine she won the double and he noted he finally found a treatment that worked, and he could actually train her continuously. Cant imagine where her times would be if she did just one more year with him. Next he said this about shericka she won the 200 second in the 100, i think she would have won if she wasnt trying to pull an injured shelly along and didnt see shakari but that life. He just said that about kishane and also noted he finally found a treatment that work for him and was now able to train him most or full season. Kishanes a big talent. We call his type injury shin splints i dont know what the correct name is, but its under controll. Personally i think his only danger is injury, the man is awesome good technique, start powerful drive phase and his drive phase is like up to70 or 75m and he maintain his speed well, almost cant shut down because his cordination is so smooth. He also competed from 100m to 400m as a youngster so hes strong, the rounds wont matter to him. I think he will run sub 9.7. Athletic fans the world over your all in for a treat. Have a good day guys love your presentations most always tops.
So your excuse for S Jackson is she was pulling a injured SAP? 😂😂😂 They not even training teammates no more family, stop it. Sha Carri is faster in the 100 if she gets a good start.
@@Arjr72 he didnt say that this year, that was last year. Needing to say something smart and your not even understanding, what was said, wlaine was from the last olympics. The present day statement is about kishane thompson. Read again maybe youll understand this time dummy.
The best thing about Kishane is that he like running. He is not only a professional runner but a self runner. He likes it. This is what gives him the edge. It is more than talent. What makes Noah competitive he likes to win. And is determine to win. But he is up against a different mind set. A mind set that we have never seen in athletes. Usain run because of his talent and he trust his talent. Gay run because he is competitive. Kishane is like a Serena Serena who dominates tennis, she is not talented but she like the sport.
@Lifewithgoldbridge121 Noah have to dig deeper but he’s not a 100M specialist to overcome Kishane power and speed.. Kishane can easily go 9.6 which is almost impossible for Noah Lyles to go from 9.83 to anywhere near 9.6, Kishane is just faster than him..
And cut out the left-to-right swagger at the start before going into his drive phase. It looks like he's kinda sacrificing forward propelling energy...
I watched the video with Noah's statement. If you watch there is slight microexpression of surprise when the interviewer said Kishane dropped a time of 9.82. Surprise and also genuine concern which lead to his follow up statement. I don't think Noah meant or insinuated any disrespect or malice towards Kishane but what I do think is Noah knows that Kishane has had injuries before and genuinely wishes he stays healthy maybe just not 9.77 healthy in my opinion tho 😅
Also us Caribbean people don't really hold grudges. We do remember what people say that may seem boastful and arrogant and we will hold them accountable for what was said. I'm from Trinidad 🇹🇹 and we have a saying "today for you, tomorrow for me"
@user-oj2nw8pv9q facts. You can see if you look closely, it was subtle. Noah knows Kishane can possibly run fast just not THAT fast. Running 100m and 200m is already taxing, let alone winning both events and as you correctly put it, it's under threat. Paris is going to be helluvah exciting Olympics.
@@cosmicwisdom999i could be wrong but i feel like alot of Jamaican women are sticking up for Noah just because he dating a Jamaican woman. Noah definitely came across sarcastic with that comment. It was a negative thing
Personally i believe what Noah said about racing at Home vs The Olympics.. He already beat Kerley & Coleman who both at the moment hold higher PR. Honestly the 100m is still too close for me say who will win clearly.
@@dancehallrootz5422why do y'all keep acting like he never beat Seville & both can't be beat😅. I understand y'all rooting but c'mon don't deny losses they already took😂
As a Lyles fan, I’d be happy if Kishane won it, I’d also love to see him drag lyles to a 9.7. If lyles is in 9.7 shape, then lyles can definitely drop a 19.2 something in the 200, getting olympic record.
@@zillogullu33 Maybe so, but I believe after doing the double last year, he’s got the experience and knowledge of how to handle the double. No reason why he can’t handle it such as the likes of Blake, De grasse, Bolt etc. have done so!
@@zillogullu33 Maybe so man. He hasn’t encountered much Jamaicans this season other than losing to Seville. But last season he dealt with Jamaicans quite decently. At WC He beat Watson in the heats, and Beat seville in the 100m final. Also beat Jamaica in the 4x100m. But honestly I’m not confident in Lyles getting gold in the 100m, I even think he will have to battle for silver as well!
I guess he never meant to say none of what he stated in a negative way, but it sorts of sound off.......it's just that he like to talk way too much till you start speaking nonsense
If Kishane turns up in Paris in the shape he showed at our championships , whoever wants to win the 100 will have to beat him,, and l am confident that Franno is able to do it
This is Dr. T; 60% KT gets Gold . 35 % OS gets Gold . Everyone else gets a % of 5 %.. KT >OB because of a possible > top end speed. But OS have a > initial change in speed. So we will see.
That was not why he was instructed to slow down. The aim was for Kishane hurricane Thompson to let out the hurricane in Paris in the 100m men's final not in Jamaica. The speed was to blow away everyone in Paris at the final. So his coach told him. Just go easy and make the team. Let out the category 5 hurricane in Paris. That is all.
I think Lyles should watch the rounds in the 100 and if Thompson is lowering his time, noah should take it easy and try and go for the gold in the 200m. He might overwork his body.
Everyone is saying Kishane reminds them of Asafa because he is tall (6"3).....Truth be told he reminds me of a taller version of a prime Yohan Blake. He is very muscular and runs with incredible power just like a prime Yohan.
Exactly Asafa is 6ft 3in a couple of inches shorter than Bolt, Kishane is 6ft 1in. We will see if He can run rounds and perform under pressure in Paris.
@@blueray7176 We will indeed but that wasnt my point. Again people are comparing him to Asafa, Powell was silky smooth with impeccable form. Kishane is raw power, and not smooth AT ALL like a prime Yohan.
Gatlin needs a major track commentator job….replace biased af ato boldon, but prolly this platform allows him to be his authentic self…nbc prolly as ato controlled like a puppet to be so biased.
No mi cyaa hold this yah,mi neva know seh justin gatlin did spit ina usain bolt lane on the warm up track back in 2012.over txt track time i heard it no sah.
Men, just watched this Kishane kid for the 1st time and i can see that he is special. I see him breaking the WR. Right now Lyles isnt that kind of shape in the 100m. This kid is a problem.
The Jamaican men have to show that they can be scary outside of Jamaica. Kishane was impressive at that meet, he's a big strong guy but asafa was to until championship races.
If you told me at the Time when Justin And Shawn Crawford was breaking out on the scene that I’d be cool with Justin Gatlin in the future I’d tell you to stfu. 😅
No this is the first time he is completely fully healthy going into July of the year cuz he used to get hurt a lot. They still scared that he's going to get hurt so you want to make sure he's ready for the Olympics
Noah is not a natural 97s man. We don't seem to understand that. When a man keeps beating the world at the 98s he's gonna pee when he comes up against 97s , that could lead to injuries from a Noah, Marcel, Simbine etc. It's a stretch too far.
@@TheoOJamaloO1 Why do you not want the record broken. Is it glass, you all sounds ridiculous. When Kishane break the record, pull your belt and beat him. You all sounds ridiculous, it is sports.
Whats your guys take on the USA track coaches accusing Thompson of doping? Do you think anybody from the track and field space earns the right to question anybody of doping?
If y’all beat around the bush one more time about Noah Lyle’s I will never watch another video from ya platform. Continue calling it REAL. Forget that little boy feelings. With Ja it’s UP.🇯🇲🔥
I thought this was the last Olympics for the US to get a medal in 100m but i see it might not happen in 2024. By 2028 the world has caught, just look at this years NCAA mens 100m (2 ameri) and 200m (2 ameri).
KISHANE THOMPSON IS KISHANE THOMPSON. He is NOT the second coming of ASAFA POWELL-he is better than Asafa at the same age. His coach has clearly stated that & he is not scared competing against top contenders.
