Show me pachecos ypc and reid still kept trying to run it because that's what open up the lanes regardless weather your gashing them or not it's the foundation of the offense. @@rm5282 and it took choke 20yrs of choking and one of the greatest qb in order for him to revive his career yet no one want's to bring 20yrs of not being good and only 1 super bowl and he had a stacked team in 2004. meanwhile kyle is still learning and only the old timers are the ones who actually challenge. Coach long enough and you will eventually have answer for almost any scenario. But regardless, point is pointless because you're compare 6yr hc to 20+ yr hc who has ran that team for over 10yrs and his culture is inbeded deeply now. andy now has been working with mahomes for 6 seasons. kyle only has had one full season with brock and brock couldn't work on his game for several months this last offseason. yet that under experienced hc nearly beat one of best coaches in history. Just wait until next season when kyle gets to work with brock all offseason. you thought that offense was explosive wait until kyle incorporates what he learned.

This one is on Shanahan for me. At the end of the game you decide to throw the ball on 3rd down when you only need 5 yards to gain and run down the clock of 2:00mins. You already know Spags is blitzing. He mentioned his Defense were tired in O.T which was more of a reason to go for it. You run on 3rd down knowing your going go for it on 4th down and you probably have Brock use his legs to pick up the first down on a RPO play like he's handing it off to CMC and Brocks runs . Nobody would expect it so it would probably work. Brock never used his legs in that game. I've seen Lamar and Justin Herbert beat Mahomes by controlling procession and running out the clock. In that moment he needed to have something dialed up and be more aggressive.

I’m sorry but Acho is hella dancing around because he’s such a 49ers fan… the blame for this game is 100% on Kyle Shanahan, because ONCE AGAIN his TERRIBLE situational game management cost this team the game. The truth is this game should have ended in regulation… They come out of the 2min warning on 3rd and 4, with the Chiefs having only TWO timeouts. HOW DO YOU NOT HAND THE BALL TO CMC TO RUN THE BALL?!! Worst case scenario he gets stuffed at the line of scrimmage or gains a yard, the Chiefs HAVE to burn one of their timeouts to preserve the clock. You then either draw up one of your best play calls to convert on 4th down (after which the Chiefs don’t have enough timeouts to stop you running the clock down) or you kick the FG and Mahomes has only 1 Timeout to go the length of the field. Instead boy genius Shanahan decides to throw on 3rd down, like he did in the Atlanta Super Bowl almost in Field Goal range (where the running back misses the block on Hightower who causes Matt Ryan to fumble and turn the ball over), and then DOES THE SAME THING IN OVERTIME ON 3rd down (where NO ONE BLOCKS CHRIS JONES)… Spags will always blitz you on 3rd down, so he did exactly what the Chiefs wanted.

The most ANGERING part of this whole thing, is if Brock Purdy had thrown an interception or Aiyuk/Kittle/Deebo had dropped a wide open TD they would have been getting absolutely dragged all over the media… but once again Kyle Shanahan gets to have no accountability for again having historically terrible big game situational awareness, and horrible play calling when it matters most

No he ain't from someone who hates the 9ers... y'all had the ball inside the 5 twice, came away with 2 fgs cause of player penalties! That's not coaching, that's on the players😳🤯 The defense needed to make one stop like they'd been doing all d*mn game to force them to call a to and kick a fg which they'd probably wouldn't be able to do cause they didn't even call to to stop the clock before running the last play with 3 secs left. All the d had to do was knock the ball down and game over, but they left dude wide open and I mean wide open. That's not coaching, that's on the players😳🤯 kicker hadn't missed an extra point all season, kicks it low and gets it blocked. If that wouldn't have happened, then the chiefs couldn't tie the game up in the first place and they have to go for a td to win in regulation. That's not coaching, that's on the player😅😅

First off the o line coach harps to the o line to block out the noise and stay focus, just like the d line does to the d line and so on and so forth... but more importantly, before it even gets to the head coach, it goes through the offensive coordinator, then the assistant coach and if it gets to the head coach, the team is in a world of hurt there genius!! Next, these coaches can harp all they want to a player, but when these young players that have never been in a game of this magnitude start to get nervous, then they make mistakes sometimes and now you're gonna say them making mistakes is on the coach!!😳🤯 Tell me you're new to sports without telling me you're new to sports

In this game and 3 others, I know and this loss on "KYLE SHANAHAN!!!" Statistical....Kyle has 1,000 yard WR: Brandon Aiyuk. He has 2,000 yard RB: Christian McCaffrey. He has 1,000 yard TE: George Kittle. He has another 1,000 WR: Deebo Samuel. He has a No. 3 Defense. He didn't utilize their talents in the SuperBowl. Two fumbles, a personal foul penalty by Sneed 15 yards led to a TD for the Niners, INT, holding penalty on McDuffie vs Jennings on 3rd&13 at midfield that kept the drive going in OT or otherwise the Niners would’ve punted right there and there. The Chiefs overcame their mistakes 🤷🏽‍♂️

@@deliliankramo7520I don't see it as the chiefs overcoming much. They didn't change their approach. Rather, the niners stopped doing what worked and it eroded our entire team. We needed to run more because not only was it working, but it gives the defense rest. It takes time off the clock. It keeps the ball out of Patrick's hands. The niners beat themselves in the sense that we gave up on winning by any means necessary to try and win our way. Shanahan wants to get cute. It's football. If Pacheco was getting 7 yards a carry, Reid would've called 25 rushes. Shanahan is too arrogant to make adjustments based on the situation and matchup. And as a niners fan, that's why I don't see him winning a Superbowl in the next 15 years

49ers O-Line struggled most of the game but to lighten up on the 49ers O-Line the Chiefs D and Chris Jones are really, really good. I think the play call on that last drive by Kyle in the OT on 3rd and 4 was totally fine but Brock Purdy had absolutely no time to throw the ball because sophomore right guard Spencer Bufford (23 years old) missed his assignment on blocking some guy named Chris Jones lol !! Spencer is a young talented guard who's still learning and I'm pretty sure he wasn't the starter he came in because another guard got injured. 49ers played there rear ends off it sucks they lost we'll be back next year in the playoff mix !!

I get what you’re saying about McKivitz but his 1st priority was to be ready to shift right if Kittle lost his block on the DE McKivitz was clearly expecting #74 to initially take on Chris Jones which absolutely didn’t happen by the time McKivitz looked back left Chris Jones had zoomed past RG #74 and was breathing down Purdy’s neck.

Honestly, the problem with what Kyle is, that when you are ahead by 10 why go 3 and out with all throws multiple times. Shouldnt you wanna run the ball to run the clock and keep the ball away from the chiefs and let your defense get some rest when you go 3 plays straight throws and nothing works you take no time off the clock and your defense goes right back out there. He's does this a lot so its nothing odd to see but sometimes i feel like he would learn from it. In the end i think the biggest outliers were the Punt hitting dudes punt and the blocked extra point. It was a team loss with some low probability things happening to steer the game in the chiefs favor.

The 2 biggest issues I have is the opening 3 drives of the 3rd quarter with 8/9 plays being passes. You had the momentum that's when they should have run the ball more and some short dump off passes to stretch the D. You have 2 other RBs if CMC was tired. Secondly Deebo went 3/11, he wasn't getting open and McDuffie was defending him well so stop going to Deebo and go to Kittle and BA!

Shanahan made the same mistake in the divisional round against the Packers. Love threw a pick and it put the Niners around the 50 yard line. Shanahan calls a rpo, which Brock keeps for 1 yard, then he calls 6 straight pass plays. The drive ended with 3 points. He never gave McCaffrey or any other running back a carry on that drive, ands McCaffrey was averaging 6.6 yards per carry at that point. For some reason Shanahan gets over zealous with calling pass plays smh.

I disagree. Its a TEAM sport. She’s desperate to point the finger and blame one player or one for losing the game. How about the punt that landed on the foot of the 49er? Or the fact that Greenlaw got hurt and the Chiefs made every single one of their plays towards his place on the field for the rest of the game. Not one mention of these points from these genius talkingheads. Just trying to point fingers at great players who didn’t get open enough bc they were being held the majority of the game.

Agreed! I am an old lady and even I knew the rules changed and both teams would get the ball. I'm not versed with all the rules, but I have watched and loved football for over 55+yrs and I heard it. Still watch that Bills/Chiefs game on you tube even though I know the outcome of the 13 seconds, and the overtime.

He never has Brock just roll out to pass and take advantage of his mobility if nobody's open. He doesn't utilize Elijah Mitchell (a very good running back) enough to keep CMC fresh. Shanahan is too rigid in his system. Needs to be more flexible in his play calling.

After the int and the entire third quarter we ran twice, that game should have been put away, and at the end of the 4th 3rd and 4 u run him twice and never give the ball back , much more confident in us and cmc getting 4 yards are two Carry’s , then give the ball back AT ALL

Purdy didn’t play well enough to win. At no point did he execute the offense at a high level. Kyle didn’t coach well enough and the defense didn’t play well enough. But I like how both of these teams had at least 2 timeouts after the 2 minute warning in the fourth.

He was good and not main reason they lost, but like you said he didn't do anything special to get the win either. We were getting told he was 'elite', right?? But it seems like people are literally blaming every other part of the team and not any to him for not finishing drives or executing 3rd downs (again not all on him, but he does get some responsbility) To solidify that, all the people who are complaining they didn't run the ball enough and were going out? I think wilks had terrible games against the lions and packers but this was probably his best game of the season. Before the game went into overtime, his defense pretty much only gave up 12 points since 7 came from the muffed punt that put the chiefs in the red zone. 12 points and got 2 turnovers on top of that, that the 49ers offense scored 0 points off of even though one of those turnovers was in the chiefs side of the field. The defense was gassed in overtime but they did their part to win on regular time. It isn’t their fault the offense failed them

@@richardruan3378the defense was awesome this game until the last two KC drives and it wasn't just the defense being tired, they switched to a "prevent" defense and just let KC go right down the field. In one drive it was 2nd and 14 and they had 5 guys just standing at the 1st down marker and they just let them get 8 yards. They continued to allow the dink and dunks all the way into fg range and they kicked the fg to tie the game because of the stupid soft defense play calling.

The game should’ve never went to OT based off of how the player in regular time. If you give up 12 points and get 2 turnovers against the current 3rd best QB of all who has a shot at number 1 when it’s all said and done, you’ve done your job. Give pretty much any Super Bowl winning QB that defensive performance and they win. Purdy and shanahan had an ok game but not a great one to only score 19 with the amount of talent they had and the amount of turnovers they got including on the chiefs side of the field. So many chances to put the game away. Didn’t run the ball in the 3rd quarter and a lot of your red zone drives ended with field goals when touchdowns on certain drives end pretty much end the game

Shanahan had the right game plan. IMO he messed up trying to get the other skill players involved with 3 back to back 3 and out drives which really changed the outcome of the game. 30 touches is a lot and this might sound crazy. But mccaffrey should have had more. Considering the initial game plan 🤷🏿‍♂️.

🐦‍⬛🏈💯 As a Ravens fan there is a gap in coaching and I firmly believe that’s why the Ravens lost the AFC championship to the Chiefs. There’s actually a gap in coaching all across the NFL. Except the one team that won the Super Bowl. Andy Reid, Steve Spagnola and Matt Nagy are all on the same page as far as I know. That’s why the San Francisco 49ers just fired their defensive coordinator.
