Lacey, a couple things that can really help with sleep are Melatonin supplements, taking a lukewarm shower about an hour or so before you are looking to go to sleep, lowering the temperature in your room before bed time and having a fan or white noise machine running. You can also try using a mantra to dismiss intrusive thoughts like thinking "it doesn't matter", "not the time" or "it's/everything's okay" over and over a few times when your mind starts to engage with thoughts when you are trying to relax. Camping in nature is also very effective at adjusting a sleep schedule because it naturally gives the conditions that cause your body to produce Melatonin, the sleep chemical; cold, darkness and a sense of stillness/relaxation. It may also be worth intentionally tracking (time/date/amount) your caffeine and sugar intake for a month or so; You don't need to, and probably shouldn't, change anything during this but tracking it can allow you to look at it after the month and be critical about how much you are getting. Good sleep is so important to so many functions of your mind and body. I really hope you can find a routine that helps you get enough.

Lacey has been my favorite from day one. Love watching Kylie and Lacey laugh and giggle over the questions. BTW Lacey being super busy when your a teen is part of life and learning. I also think it’s great your taking a break from dating because it’s seems like you always had a bf. Keep being the great mommy you are.
I have insomnia, and what helps me is soft music in the background it makes my brain focus on the music and relaxes me. Or play any music that helps you relax. Hope this helps.. but also doesn't help me every night. I do use medication when needed.. hope this helps you 😊

I too can’t sleep at night and I’m a single mom. I finally started taking sleeping meds because my health was being negatively impacted from a lack of sleep. They make sleeping meds that are non addictive and they have been a life changer for me.

Lacey, I have the same sleep problems (as does my mom). It’s related to our anxiety. I take meds but there are alternatives. Just look up options for sleep help for anxiety. ASMR is a big help to me!
Make a point not to turn on electronic devices at night when you are wanting to sleep. No TV, no computer, no phone. Also, use a sound machine and essential oils as well. Sincerely, a nerodivergent who has a hard time sleeping 😉
Keep doing you Lacey. My two closest friends and I were 29 years old when we got married. No regrets. We lived our lives the way we wanted to. They were lucky and had children pretty quick but I was 34 when my first arrived and nearly 40 when the second arrived. I never felt I missed out on anything.
To me watching something not too “brain demanding” or too interesting (= ok to fall asleep from) on my iPad works better than a dark room. Listening to a sleep story (same every time = not to interesting/ok to fall asleep) on low volume also works. I need something that can occupy my mind just enough to not wonder off 😊. Some norm for “how you should fall asleep” shouldn’t stop you from trying something that others find “wrong”. I mean, some people (especially with ADHD) can fall asleep easier with some caffeine. 😊
I have the same with sleep. Sometimes it helps to just lay there and do relaxying, but in my mind. So i stopp to think. But the thoughts can run away anyway... Hope your sleep gets better

For me to go to sleep at night, I have taken all the sugar and caffeine out of my food intake and I have to listen to either the ocean waves or it raining on my laptop and I also have a 5mg Melatonin Blackberry gummy. And if I'm Lucky it will still take me around an hour to fall to sleep. Now my husband he's asleep before his head hits the pillow (SO annoying). If I don't take the gummy or listen to the white noise everynight I will be up for 2 or 3 days then sleep for 12- 16 hours and then do it all over again. And I have noticed the older I get the harder it is for me to fall asleep. A friend of mine told me she bought a fish tank and watching the fish swim around helps relax her mind into sleeping. (thinking of giving that a try) she doesn't have to take any sleep aids anymore.
I saw somewhere that it is actually okay to lie in bed at night with your eyes closed, even if you can't get any sleep. The fact that you have your eyes closed is what matters. Take it from someone who has a terrible sleep pattern
Great video! And Lacey I agree about you watching The OG videos. I created a playlist on my RU-vid with all your guys old videos! I think you’re so funny! And I have severe insomnia also. Nothing helps me either. They say taking magnesium at night hour before bed it helps with sleeping.
On a "seriouse" note, I do think its good to be spoiled rotten 😊😇 as long as its combined with beeing grateful and nice to others. In my culture its said that kids shouldnt be spoiled and I disagree. (Ofcourse to a hm normal level) but I think its good to try to give the kids an as good life we all can in our own lifes. 🙂 Hopefull it make them feel safe and taken care of. Is my phiosophy. 🤪 (And spoiled is not the same as getting uber expensive things in my mind. But trying to give time and stuff with meaning.)
Lacey have you tried reading when you go to bed. That is what I do of course I love to read. Some people though say it puts them to sleep right away. A suggestion.
Lacey, have you gone to a doctor for your insomnia? They could help you. If they give you something to take before bed, you could take it for a few months nightly to get yourself back to normal, then only take it as needed. There are options out there that aren’t addicting, so you wouldn’t have to worry about that
Hi Lacey, it sounds like you are just like me and have a really active brain that doesn't ever stop. Try having a comfort show you know well or an episode you have seen before playing. I have youtube videos that i will re-run that i now know will maje me fall asleep within 10 minutes of them being on. Trying to fall asleep in pure silence doesn't work well for me, although i sleep through the night without having to keep any tv/videos on. 😴
Lacy I’m just like you when it comes to sleep I cannot shut off my mind 5am and I’m still awake. It sucks sooooooo much. And I totally agree about Ryan and Blake. Oh and add Jennifer Garner in there too for fun lol 😅
