What a precious moment to capture, your little girl catching that fish. Is she calling it a "puppy" lol? Y'all are blessed, thanks for sharing this trip and not taking a vacation from the videos 😃
Not too many things better than the excitement of your child catching a fish! Memories to cherish for a lifetime. You’re an excellent angler and teacher and a darn good Dad too. Good job there, Pops!
Matt,. I live in Chattanooga and fish Lake Chickamauga and the Tennessee River below the Chickamauga Dam (on the Nickajack side) nearly every day. I'm a big fan of Tactical Bassin', and I've learned so much from watching your vids. I wish I'd known you were going to be here with your family for a few days. I would love to have taken your family out to dinner with mine while you were here. I hope you enjoyed the city as much as you enjoyed the lake. Knowing your little girl got her first Bass right here on Chickamauga put a big smile on my face! Anyway, tight lines brother! Thanks for all your Tactical Bassin' videos! If you make it back this way, let me know. I'd be honored if you'd let me take you out for dinner and/or a beer.
Matt, I've fished for a long time and knew nothing but spinner baits. Pretty much all I ever used. Most of the time it worked but I only ever caught dinks. In the last couple years or so with yours and Tim's guidance and an unreasonable amount of money spent, I have stepped my game up tremendously. I can't express my gratitude enough. You guys are the best. Thank you for your efforts. Oh and congrats to the little one on her catch too, she's got a hell of a teacher.
Ok Matt: When does Sierra get her own channel? As a Dad, watching that happy little beauty catch that Bass made my day. She is precious. You and Mrs. are blessed. Thanks.
I totally enjoyed this video! I feel blessed for having watched it. I appreciate your family's participation; as a father to four daughters it was an uplifting feeling to watch your 2 year old daughter reel in a fish.
I almost cried seeing the three of you catch Sierra’s bass. What an amazing memory and saved on video to boot! Fish with grandkids as often as I can and love each and every moment. Also glad to hear you’re heading to Green Bay. My home is only about 45 miles from there. Careful you will become honorary Packer Fans just by driving past Lambeau Field. Safe travels. God Bless you and all fishermen and women.
What a great video! Your daughter’s excitement, the explanation of the fish movements, picking through the schools, and settling on the early morning shad spawn. All amazing footage and a joy to see and feel a little like we were there!
Congrats to Sierra on catching that bass, that reminds me when my little girls caught fish. I’m sure that was a very proud moment for you and Cece! Awesome job!!!!!
I love your videos guys yall have taught me so much within the last year. I went from catching fish once in a while to catching every time I fish even in the winter time... thank you guys for your hard work and helping us noobs catch fish.
Loved Sierra catching that senko Bass!! She may end being youngest girl ever to win a tournament! Lol. If she decides to do that then of course. Ha ha. As always thoroughly enjoyed your break down of the lake. Maybe one of these days you can head over to Lanier which is my home like. God bless!
One of the best videos you guys have put out. Love seeing the family. It's great to mix it up from time to time. The trophy fish on this trip was caught by your baby girl. Her excitement was amazing!!
Epic You guys. Seeing your daughter catch a fish was awesome. Matt you are a Amazing. You friggin blow my mind how you can pick out fish on a lake. THE FISH WHISPER..
Hey matt i really enjoy vids.your awesome person and very informal in your vids thank you so much. Be carefully on the road i will be praying for 6ou and family it was cool to see you wife and let girl catch some fish thats what its all about family time awesome.
I would’ve loved to have met you in person on my home lake. The pressure on Chickamauga has been fierce this summer, MLF, FLW and countless other major tournaments. I’m glad you were able to find good schools. Hoping to fish Clearlake one day. Thank you for continuing to share your knowledge. You’ve made me a better fisherman. Have a great vacation and enjoy time with your family. They grow up fast.
Matt and Tim, would you be able to list the dates that you were at these sites? Maybe that would help us relate the date and pattern and adjust to our fisheries
Awesome video dude! Wacky rig senko and big ol 12” monster worm is my go-to on chick this time of the year! Y’all should make a stop on Norris Lake just north of Knoxville,TN for the big smallmouth and largemouth 👍
Great vid I have a quick request. Could u guys do a pond fishing walkthrough vid? Im new to the big green fish, and i have found all of your vids helpful. I have learned so much through u guys. Keep doing what u do!
Hey Matt, I have a question about rods for small crankbaits, jerkbaits, lipless and blades (cranks 15g, blades 25g). We fish open water and pretty deep 99% of the time and need long easy casts with these lures. I’m choosing between G Loomis IMX crankbait 7’ medium light and 7’5” medium. Which would you choose and why? PS, I can’t see them in a store since I live in Sweden. Keep up the great content!
Awesome deal on chick, I’m heading to pickwick on the 15th for a couple days, I’ve never been there what’s the best thing to do right now? Is it hard to run or what?
I moved to the Chattanooga area early this past spring and when I started fishing late spring and summer, my body count up until now with a wacky rig watermelon/gold flake yum dinger was staggering. Including a 7+
If you want to catch some big offshore fish, stop by Douglas lake on your way up. It can have an outstanding deep bite this time of year on a deep crank or swimbait. Long lining to get crankbaits down to 30' is popular.
Hey matt, Question for you.. I'm looking for a new spinning rod. The 2 I'm looking at are. Shimano zodias 7 'medium or medium light.... or the 2019 megabass levante 7' shakeyhead. I'd be using the rod for shakeyheads, ned rigs, 2.8 keitechs. Pairing the rod with the stradic 2500 ci4+
I would take the Zodias personally, and that's coming from a Megabass fanatic. The Stradic will pair perfectly with it and if you order soon enough on Tacklewarehouse, you'll get 15% off the rod on the invoice after you pay for it( it wont show its discounted right away)
How would you fish a lake with a ton of floating grass that is super thick, max depth of 25 feet, but it’s a 60 acre lake so it’s really small. Lots of timber as well with a few docks. I’ve tried topwater and it works but I don’t get as many bites as I would like.
