Would I visit Lebanon??? Yes, any chance I get. The first twelve years of my life was spent growing up in Lebanon and it was the best times I ever had, everyone was friendly and as a young Australian boy, I always felt safe. That was in the 1960s before the war and to this day, Lebanon is the best country I've been to and the friendliest people. Everything you say, Gus, is so true...probably why you've been there seven times. Keep up the good work, love your videos.

I have visited 86 countries and Lebanon is definitely in my TOP 3 !!! Amazing nature, very rich culture and history, very welcoming and friendly people, crazy nightlife and very yummy food (I mean really really yummy) ! And yes it is very safe !!! Beirut has it all ❤ ❤🇱🇧

Of course it is safe. Even if there is a war going on, daily life will go on. In my opinion just look out for the traffic and scammers.

Just the phrase « liberal women » make me a little bit confused : Not only a part of the lebanese women wear bikinis, ALL of them 😂. Hi Gus Lebanon looks great (Cedar of Lebanon is one of my favourite trees, and I would love to see forests of them). I noticed in one of the clips you were wearing glasses. presumably you wear contact lenses? I am above average short-sighted and wear contacts, and it really puts me off travelling to remote places. I worry about if I lost my contacts and glasses, how do you manage? Do you have any tips, eg. Do you wear daily contacts, do you keep some in different bags etc? What about swimming, and how do you manage when you are flying long distances? Thanks.

I recently heard that it’s impossible to get to southern regions of Lebanon, one need to have some kind of permission? Is it true? Can I drive in my car with Ukrainian license plates in entire Lebanon and is it safe in the whole country? Hopefully, in Lebanon people don’t support russia in the war against my country…

I have been in the south and there was no permission needed. Only thing you notice are lot of UN ''peacekeeping'' activity. Regarding the war in your country, people are mixed about it. Some support Ukraine, others are neutral and another part supports Russia. However those who support Russia are not automatically hatred towards Ukrainian people. Russians and Ukrainians are the same people in the eyes of many Lebanese.

I felt so much safer in Lebanon than in the US, last year when I was there. Even hezbollah controlled areas like Baalbek. Met many hezbollah supporters and they just wanted to sell me their t shirts. It’s the jewel of the world who’s kind people don’t deserve their current struggles.

According to my knowledge they are in the south, bordering with israel and its to prevent israel from entering lebanon since parts of the south is still occupied by israel. Also part of syria is.
