Illa bro, for me that grandfather- grandson bonding was really good, porkanda singam and its edm both songs justify the grandfathers emotion and responsiblity towards taking care of his grandson. Also it helps vikram explaining the reason behind the whole drug annihilation as he want his grandson and other young generations to live in a drug free society. Porkanda singam vali konda nenjam song shows us how it feels for a father when he lost his son and now his grandson has no father. EDM version visually conveys that vikram would take any risk for his grandson. That climax portion also worked well for me including the ending. Plus, im emotionlaly connected with that bonding and with both those songs. I hope you wont get angry on my comment. Thank you!!

Bro u told the exact thing I had in my mind, and for me sadly the most irritating thing was, why Vikram took that that baby for that last climax fight, why would he put him in such a danger, he could have left the baby with his mother(by opening the door with the eyes of agent tina😹), at least there could have been better alternatives other than carrying that baby (who has that condition of having higher risk of having heart failure when exposed to extreme sounds) to the fight scene🤷‍♂ And I agree with the other points as well that you mentioned. for me the things I didn't like 1) VFX and some fight scenes where we feel like that some motions kind of defies the laws of physics. 2) Sandhanam and his wives scene. 3) that cute irritating baby(but I liked the por kanda singam song btw) 4) That village cooking cameo(I kinda didn't like that much, it's just a personal opinion) . . and some more but as you said, I was also in love with the movie overall which made me watch it again and again, Let's hope that they would avoid these in LEO.

I liked Vikram thoroughly but it had some flaws not like what you said. Grandfather and grandson angle is good enough and it’s unique in Tamil action genre. And in 2nd half fight scene in house also good and logical sensible. My two criticisms is: Weak villain and generic climax(I understand it’s Kamal’s comeback so action was brought, but hey could have been better though) And Vikram changed the Tamil cinema at least South Indian movies, Just like Ayan movie changed fight techniques. Vishwaroopam changed revelation . Many started using machine gun finisher in climax from Tollywood The Ghost to Hindi Pathaan where Deepika uses a semi auto rifle. And also movieverse creation.

to me MAANAGARAM is such a good film that can be taken as one of the example films which has hyperlink screenplay.

Bro Whatever you said I agree with it but grandfather and grandson chemistry worked for me moreover it's is metafour like vikram cares about next generation that's the reason he pass it over to Amar character. Compared to second half, first half worked for me as well. In kaithi master Climax fight is little bit exaggerated but in kaithi it worked and in master it didn't. And vikram he some what managed to get away. Hope he writes climax portion according to mood of the movie

I like the contents of the video. This is I call it “Healthy Criticism”, To make the future Tamil cinema a great one. It is too early to say Loki is overrated. Normally directors are better when they debut. Specially when it comes to Tamil Cinema. Specially when it comes new film directors. After a while basically they go less juicy. That because creating good story and a screenplay is not so easy. We see Tamil directors struggles over time to come up with new fresh type of storytelling. Instead, they are kind of trapped in their past success. So, after a while audience see it as not interesting, or boring. So far, I agree Loki’s scripts lag romance side, or woman’s characterization. He uses these women characters and children characters to get emotional type of entry for his story telling. I don’t blame him for this. Typically Indian, especially Tamil audience specially women audience prefer this. In a way that is a clever choice. I also believe the actions should have some kind of emotionally driven actions. A motivation to shed blood. Other wise if we see Just actions for action’s sake, it will make us boring. If you see Christopher Nolan’s movie, there is same kind of a lag in women’s characterization and also children. They often get killed or bad ass. He uses those characters to get an entry, a motivation to move the plot forward for his story telling. Some Critics says “Nolan is too lazy of writing female characters”. Example watch Tenet or Batman Trilogy. Here Loki is doing the same. That’s ok as far as they can deliver good movies. But I disagree on the Child character in Vikarm. If you remove that character from the time line. Then Vikram character will cut loose from half time of the movie and will go Rouge. There is nothing to hold him back. In this case I really appreciate Loki. Because there is no story in the second half. Just full of actions. The gap between the Action sequence is only filled by this little Child. As you said Why we need 2 fight scenes in a same Set peace? Answer is, The Child. On the other side it gave some room to show off Kamal’s acting skills which was very important for his fan base. I think “Vikram was a cleverly constructed movie!”. Which cleverly played knowing the strength and weaknesses. As you said the strength hided the weaknesses. Clever!
