love, for me, was a feeling that eventually evolved into a choice i knew i would be able to make for the rest of my life. it starts as a feeling. kasi, i don't just randomly pick someone and say, 'oh, he's the one. i'm gonna love him from this second till my last breath'. no. it doesn't work like that for me. we interact, i could learn something, see his character, goals, intentions, etc-and that's what makes me fall. it isn't a choice, it just happens. it becomes felt. pero, syempre, love isn't a flame that burns brightly forever. it isn't always intense. it doesn't have to burn you. sometimes, love is just a mellow ember glistening under the cold, night sky. sometimes, it gets lost. sometimes, it wonders. and that is when love also becomes a choice. a choice to know and relive the reasons why you loved someone. to add fuel. to let it combust and turn into wild flames once more. love becomes a choice when you fight with all your might, while holding the hands of your better half. because frankly, it won't always be intense. it won't always create butterflies in your stomach. it won't be tides but just small ripples in a pond miles away from the stormy sea. and to choose-to decide to continue when love is at its lowest, coldest, and dimmest point... it's all that love could ever be.

Love is a feeling. I believe every choice that we make is influenced by our feelings. When we choose to keep a person, to fight for a relationship, to continue to trust amidst uncertainties etc., this is because we feel that it’s the right thing to do or it’s going to be worth it. Whatever it is there’s always a certain feeling that pushes us towards a certain choice. I think, ultimately love is a feeling.

Love is a feeling, an emotion. You don't choose the person you love. Kusang nararamdaman yun ng puso. Getting into a relationship with the one you love, THAT is a choice. Hindi lahat ng mahal mo, pipiliin mong makasama (o pipiliin ka). At di lahat ng makakasama mo eh automatic mahal mo. Love and relationships are two different sides of the same coin.

So it means po ba pag wala na pong feelings eh wala na pong love? Kasi po feelings come and go eh, may times na masaya kayo at night or masaya kang kasama siya noong gabing nagdate kayo, the feelings are there tapos pagkagising mo di mo na siya mahal kasi wala ng feelings, then pinipilit mong ibalik yung feelings na meron ka the night before but unfortunately, di mo na mabalik kasi tuyong tuyo na damdamin mo, then in fact surang sura ka na din makita siya kasi nga di na tulad nong gabing may feelings ka pa po sa kanya. Kaya love is more than a feeling kasi feelings come and go but love is there to stay.

IMHO, hindi kailangan pag-hiwalayan yung "feeling" or "choice". Gaganahan ka ba magpa-pogi/magpa-ganda, or makipag-date pag hindi mo type yung tao (aka feeling)? Conversely, type mo nga yung tao, hindi ka makatulog, lagi mo sya iniisip, pero wala ka naman ginagawa or hindi mo hinahabol (choice), so wala ring mangyayari. Your positive feelings and emotions, will spur you to make conscious choices in pursuing that other person. The choice to pursue the other person becomes fuel that further your feelings.

Love is involuntary and an all encompassing “perfect” imagine of acceptance and tolerance but as humans we are not perfect. We get angry, impatient and reserved even to those we love. Saying that love is a choice means that in times when someone you love show imperfection in their actions/reaction (eg anger), we can chooses to show patience or grace to the one we love. Basically showing empathy, of course in a healthy level and not in a manipulative way. Love being a choice is also making difficult choices, knowing that letting them go and putting yourself first is a way of loving them because it allows for the individual to grow.

Choice 100% Love needs to be chosen and felt when your mind connects with your heart. These 2 need to be "shaking hands" and working in tandem. Love is a product of when heart and mind agree with eachother. Pinoys are emotional people and from what I see,, many make more of an emotional decision versus a logical one. A lot of emotional people never think of consequences and that leads to a fabrication of what "love" shouldn't be.

@@jcviterbo that is from the start lang naman, you both choose each other because of the "feeling" pero pag nagtagal na kayo eh you minsan nawawalan na ng spark, butterflies or feelings. Are you still going to stay or not? Break up is a common experience sa couple or sa taong nakabase lang sa bugso ng damdamin ang pagmamahal. Yes it is a fact that love is a chemical reaction inside the brain kasi nagrereact ang chemicals like dophamin, norepinephrine at serotonin sa brain kapag may love and it produces "good or great feeling" pero I say unto you that love is more than that. Sa kasalan kapag ang couple ay magsasabi na ng commitment nila sa isa't-isa di nila sinasabi na "as long as I feel it I will keep on loving you" ang sinasabi nila "no matter what happen through ups and downs, I will stay choose to stay and keep on loving you". See? Lahat nakabase sa choice, commitment and decision HINDI SA FEELINGS.

I think it is a choice that is directed by our feelings/emotions. It is a choice with the prerequisite of having that certain feeling for an individual. Because at the end of the day, you make your choices based on what you think would make you "happy" on the long run. You could choose to stay in the relationship because you "feel" that in the long run it would make you the happiest or you could end a relationship because you don't see it as something that could give you happiness. Love is something that you choose to have for the feeling that it gives you.

I think love is a feeling. Relationship is a choice. We can choose to have a relationship with someone because we are feeling in love with that someone. We also have a choice not to pursue a relationship with someone we're in love with because of various reasons. We can also choose to have a relationship with multiple people without love because we just want to feed our ego. So for me, relationship is a choice. And as for love, we can never choose the person whom to fall in love with.

Para saken love is both a feeling and a choice. Syempre pano ba natin masasabi na mahal natin ang isang tao kung wala tayong nafefeel na gusto natin silang mahalin? Of course naturally as humans, we have emotions and our emotions leads to different kinds of feelings especially *LOVE*❤️. After that feeling, comes the part when you make a decision, a choice, kung mamahalin mo yung tao araw-araw or kung siya palagi pipiliin mo, bukod tangi sa ibang tao. So despite the different situations and problems that may and will occur, nasa sayo and desisyon or *CHOICE* kunggg pipiliin mo parin syang mahalin despite everything. So love is a strong feeling and a choice, its both for me ❤️

Yes love is a feeling and a choice. But for me, a long lasting love is a love rooted from a choice. You choose to love that person everyday regardless of your feelings. Because our feelings is fleeting, there will be times that we feel so in love with that person, specially at the early stage, there'll be times that you don't feel like you love them, like it's lost, but it's just the feelings that was lost and you just need to keep reviving it. You should both keep showing your love to each other even if you don't feel like it, and the feelings will eventually come back. 🙂 But this applies to healthy relationships, some toxic ones needs to be let go.
