Some points included in the video:
Use the correct stabilizers-
For sweatshirts I use floriani power mesh stabilizer.
Polo's are the hardest to embroidery, you should purchase 40 wt thread..you might want to try a ballpoint needle and a water soluble stabilizer and you are going to want to try it first on scrap fabric.
You will want a good software program, the Embrilliance Essential software is what I use to print out all of my designs.
Applique embroidery sucks because you might not have the best scissors.
I thought my ginghams were the best because they are super sharp but the ends are thicker so it doesn't lay as flat therefore doesn't snip the threads at the lowest level.
I currently use Kai Scissors! The blunt tip ones are my favorite.
