Even I don't wear makeup as it really effects the skin, my mom says it's better to stay natural than applying some sort of chemicals on your face....... Btw I'm the same like you, I'm too lazy for the makeup, it just makes me yawn how girls spend hours just for makeup 😅😂 (Don't come at me, just my opinion :))

Many reasons not to start: natural faces tend to age better...hence why many men look better at older ages and they no longer have acne. Women who werent reliant on makeup at younger ages are stunning when they get older.

I go to school without makeup, it's just my personal preference. but some girls were hardcore judging me and treating me like a lower being. so one day I went to a birthday party with makeup and everyone stared. a couple girls actually told me I was wearing a lot of makeup and made fun of me .so which one is it society??? when we don't wear makeup we're "ugly" and when we do we're "insecure" and "extra". I'm just so fed up.

No one's ever gonna be satisfied except for maybe yourself. I just learned that I'm good to dress like a dork and put on emo-like makeup so long as I feel confident in it and I don't let people bring me down. Only I know what works for me, who I am, and who I want to be. I am not in their control. Keep smiling in their faces so that they know that they're idiots.

LittleBlueBoxLPS I recommend tea tree oil on the acne, go to a specialist that knows how to treat acne such as a dermatologist , I don't recommend drug store products cause they usually don't work and tend to dry out the skin a lot, I also recommend natural remedies to help with acne. Some foundations now let your skin breath while treating acne and covering them up as well. Makeup companies saw that they wanted to change the way foundations work, instead of covering up the problem they want to help solve it while hiding it at the same time. Bare minerals is really good. Makeup has changed a lot over the years and it's not as bad as it used to be before, there are vegan and cruelty free cosmetics out there to help the skin. Putting banana oil is really good before applying foundation as well, it's light and helps the skin repair :) hope I helped!

I used to wear makeup all the time, usually concealer and foundation, maybe mascara, and highlighter and lip gloss. But then, I started to realize that I was just covering my insecurities so I wouldn’t have to face them. This year, my skin is 10x better, and even if I put a little bit of makeup on, I wipe it off in the end when I realize I don’t need it to be beautiful. Someone’s probably gonna be sarcastic and shit with a reply, but whatever, just wanted to share my personal experiences with makeup.

The information is out there, most makeup, high end or drugstore, is full of toxic chemicals. There is an environmental organization you can look at that evaluates the ingredients of beauty products and determines how hazardous they are. Environmental Working Group is the name of the company. They have a website! Check it out if you're interested.

The way I view makeup is the way I view piercings, most times people have it on is because they think it looks cool. Plus like with piercings, makeup doesn't affect anyone but the wearer so why are you getting your panties in a twist over it? I switch between wearing makeup and not wearing makeup and I can tell you when I do my makeup it is VERY rarely for another human being, it's mostly because I had some free time and I think it looks cool to have red lips and gold eyelids.

Why tho? Stuff that's lab-made can be just as safe or unsafe as chemicals made by plants. There is no reason why natural makeup would automatically be harmless. Which is why their stuff has to go through the same testing and regulation process. Take most essential oils for example. They are often seen as holy grail natural shit but did you ever read warning labels on pure tea tree oil?

I wear makeup because it's hella fun, and you can be creative with it! You can make different looks, and if i want to look sexy and confident, i can just create a sexy makeup look, and if i want to look sweet, i can just create a sweet makeup look. There are no rules to makeup, you can have fun with it the way you like it. No one doesn't need to wear makeup, it's their own choice, but if you want to, remember that you look beautiful with and without makeup! Both genders can have fun and be creative with makeup. People say that it's false advertising, but wtf, we aren't products that wants to get selled! xoxo

+Aayushi Takte Patil I would say both good and bad, with an added neutral side too. Some makeup products benefit the skin, some do nothing for the skin, and some products damage the skin. However I would argue that most of the skin damage people face with makeup is because they're using the wrong products with ingredients they might specifically be sensitive to. Also, ASAP science should have further emphasized that the issue with parabens is HEAVILY inconclusive. There are many studies that contradict each other. Most parabens used in cosmetics are of the same chemical make-up as the parabens naturally occurring in foods/plants that are often used to preserve food as well - but natural doesn't mean safer too.

Oh heck hon...unless you are truly unfortunate looking, you probably don’t need makeup. Yes it can make a huge difference, but if I were you, I’d save those thousands for cars, hobbies, children, a safe place to live...in the end you realize that good looks are unrewarding and only temporary. Of course, go all in at a special event. :) Go as if you’re partying with your worst enemies. But on a daily basis, too look beautiful, especially on little girls? Really?

Never put people down for wearing makeup, and never put someone down for not wearing makeup. Most girls (or boys too) don't just wear makeup to impress others, they wear it because 1. It makes them happy and 2. It's fun to do. Just because you are some edge lord who wants to put others down for their decision, it doesn't make you any better if a person.

Julieta Gibert that is from watching my cousin's do their makeup. They usually take 1 hour and a half or up to two hours. That might just be because they're really slow idk but I was stating the maximum time of course I know that it doesn't necessarily take everyone this long to do their makeup. But either way for me sleep is precious I'd rather use that twenty minutes in bed than doing my makeup but that's just my personal preference. And I know that for some makeup is actually really fun etc but for others they just use this excuse to hide the fact that they are insecure which isn't doing any good for them as they aren't really addressing and trying to fix the actual problem which is their self-esteem

If they like ur color of Lipstick, eyeshadow other girls will compliment and it feels great. I've always hated makeup and beauty products even as a kid, because I've always thought that it was just a way to hide your 'ugliness.' I saw it as a type of metaphorical mask that lets you be like the norm, a sexy, beautiful woman/man that is perfect. People should like you for who you are, not a doll. +Nettle When they say make up is fake, they are just letting you know they dont like fake people. Nobody is trying to stop you from doing what makes you happy. You have the problem here by being oversensative, not them by expressing an opinion. Also, toothpaste doesnt cover up the real you. its meant to clean your teeth and whitening toothpaste is made to make your teeth their naturally white color. Shampoo also doesnt hide or change your hair. It only works with what you have to keep it clean and natural. Nothing fake about it. Creams? Depends on the cream, but the non-make up cream actually just opens the pores of your skin or cleanses it or reduces oils, letting your natural side shine. It doesnt cover up or fake anything. Shaving isnt fake. Hair is natural but so is not having hair. You arent lying about yourself, just cutting off excess hair. make up is fake because it covers up the natural person and trying to make you look a little to very different from your natural self. For example, shaving just shows more of your natural skin, make up covers it up. By the way, most men dont mind a little make up. Its the clown girls that are a turn off. But they can still be clown girls, they just have to accept that less men will like them, and if they are ok with that, then no reason to complain. If they arent ok with that, that is their problem. Nobody should have to like somebody else, and I know the clown girls have preferences in men also.

I recently stopped wearing makeup 1 because it takes me extra time to apply on my face and 2 I've seen a side to side comparison photo of the damaging things we do to our hair and on the 20 years later photo, it shows that with eyelash/eyebrow cosmetics, we lose our eyelashes and eyebrows.

I ditched make-up years ago except for really special events. My skin has some acne (thanks for my obsessive picking) but otherwise it’s soft, smooth, hydrated and happy. I do feel self conscious about my acne but I’ve learned to accept it and move on. Drinking lots of water, cutting sugar and junk food, and exercising more has helped a LOT. Plus I wash my face every night. Don’t ever skip washing your face at night - big no-no. Overall, better to have a few blackheads than unhappy skin and an empty wallet. Plus a lot of make-up is created with unethically harvested ingredients such as micah.

Im a girl and Ive never had much a desire to use makeup. I bought concealer thinking it would help boost my confidence (I dont even know what comes first: concealer, foundation, no clue). But I realized that its not only a hassle, but it didnt make me much happier. Hiding my insecurities only made me feel worse. The chemicals were also a concern, given I bought cheap makeup (even if it's from the drug store, pretty sketchy cheap makeup)

You're probably not wearing make-up to intentionally look more sexually attractive (more than likely you're wearing it because the woman around you are) but the very history of make-up is centered on trying to make yourself appear more attractive.

+fireaza I'm not saying makeup doesn't have that angle to it. But for women, expression is a huge part of makeup as well. That should also not be forgotten.

+SuperMadumadu Can you be a bit clearer on what you mean when you say "expression"? Putting make-up on your face so you look like a zombie is expressive. But I fail to see how wearing make-up in the same style that everyone else is using, is expressive. Exactly how much of your personality can you express in the specific shade of red of the lipstick you're wearing?

It is not like I put makeup on everyday thinking " this is going to increase my chances of reproduction", to me, it is more of a relaxing art form. It is fun, enjoyable and allow you to express yourself, it is also pretty de-stress for me. Anyone with me?

I don't know how to put on anything other than lip gloss and mascara and after almost 16 years of life im sure as hell not learning now. Though if someone else wants to wear makeup go ahead, just make sure you're doing it for you.

Mitch was on Big Brother Canada! He played an amazing game, using careful planning and basic psychology. He did not win, but he sure deserved to! He was my all time favourite house guest, and I honestly think he is amazing! Love you mitch! xox
