Appreciate the 100% honest takes... the Mara's Chris & Tim gotta move to different positions in the FRONT OFFICE other than PLAYER PERSONNEL. We need more ACCOUNTABILITY there and have to support the GM's & HC's better!

Been a Giants fan since '85. I don't want to do this because I don't want the knee jerk hire or quota hire. Whatever it takes to win. I am black. Can't help to notice the Mara's have gotten away without black(1 black GM, corrected, we won with his picks) or coaches, or even QB's. I would say because we got lucky when we got Parcells, Belichec and Manning. Decision-making has been suspect for 15 years! The QB position has changed. Period!

@@dsimmon20 Reese was rightfully fired. After the Super Bowl in 2011, he drafted poorly and the roster construction was a mess. They bottomed out in 2017 at 3-13. He stopped winning. You implied the Giants are racist, which there is no evidence that supports it. They are a poorly run team which rewarded nepotism/cronyism especially in their Front Office. Hopefully that changes which it looks like it will. (They interviewed 4 GM candidates so far; 3 of them are minorities )

Not only that, but if certain reports are to be believed, he had a say in who the Giants picked as his successor. I'm not saying it is true, but if the shoe fits....

The Giants did not win 4 Super Bowls BECAUSE OF the Maras; they won them IN SPITE OF the Maras. Absent Mara meddling, Eli & Coughlin may have won more Lombardis.
Maybe but there were never what I would call dominant those years they won it. But they were stable, and that's all you need if a few things break your way. Never should have fired Tom. What would they give for that 7-9 season now?
So this was ALL about the GM having freedom to get their HC (and possibly their QB too). It's NOT, repeat NOT, that Joe Judge couldn't be a successful HC for the Giants. The issue was 100% a personnel crisis in the trenches, oline and dline. Gettleman took risks that MASSIVELY blew up on him (draft AND free agency), and the GIANTS had to get a new GM to right the ship, and a new GM means the existing HC is toast, no matter who they are. Once they decided not to promote Kevin Abrams, Judge was essentially done.
They stupidly keep hiring the wrong coach. Everyone else could see that these were the wrong hire. Every year there are good qualified candidates but the giants keep reaching.
What good GM or coach would take the job when they have to let the owners brother and nephew have the final say on draft and FA decisions. They (Chris and Tim) will naturally disagree with your choices or they'll look irrellevent. The problem is that the Maras want to prove that theyre as good or better than Wellington and can build a superbowl team without the help of Pete Rozelle. This is why they only hire guys with no experience or are desperate for a job. They want good, little Yes men who will do what they tell them and be the fall guy when Chris and TIms decisions blow up in their faces.
Questioning Multi superbowl winning owner's is nihilistic lol Its going to be 31 losers . Respect the elder wiser who has been there and done that. I get that the spoiled prince wants the kings job but these movements to try and force teams to sell ,owner's to step aside or to fire coaches and qb to make room for your favorite pets is annoying media behavior.
