It is a team effort & they are very blessed to have each other to work with and to have Max in that team. I like that Max is always very unassuming and doesn’t ever look smug despite his being so knowledgeable.
@@iizwni Asia's a big place. Not all parents are going to be the same. Though I do agree that is the norm and a lot of them are like that, we don't know what his are like. Unless Max said it himself xD I obviously could be wrong
@@FLOWERCROWNLUNA like i said, its just a joke. im singaporean myself so chill man. pretty sure if someone were to tell this joke to him he would laugh
All of the 4 got some really tough ones right. All 4 of them deserve the price. But Zeng seems to have a cartographic/photographic memory. You can see him sometimes drawing maps in the air with his fingers. Thats why he also knows the periodic table with all correspondent values by heart. During questions about music or culture, he is normally not as strong, maybe because he has not come across those topics yet. I think people admire Zeng therefor the most, because the knowledge he deliveres is the most remote kind of intelligence we dont witness every day, and on top of that he is incredibly fast to access all these names in his brain. Truly fascinating.
Mays is the CEO but seeks Jackson the Chairman for approval. Sheriff's the Corporate Secretary and Max just does all his work in his tiny cubicle behind the stockroom
@@alforest9634 don't share the same opinion. I think Mays was an excellent captain and knows some obscure stuff. Jackson seems to be the most knowledgeable in music in the team.
just watched this university challenge last night imperial college/team is freaking cool. love the friendship as well. they have their own uniqueness or specialty. what a strong combination 👏🏼
Imperial is strong with 2 Master's students, a PhD student and an MVP undergrad. St John's Cambridge fielded all 4 undergraduates, and came away losing with a very high score.
I just want Zheng and Hutchinson in one team. Also the lady in Edinburgh who's from Reading. The last does not matter at all. Probably a math major since that is what lacking among the three.
I think Zeng is definitely a beast and a wild card but Mays is definitely the MVP. From what I’ve watched he’s great at deducing answers due to his vast knowledge on different topics. There are many occurrences wherein Mays would ask Zeng, Sherif and Jackson what would have happened in a particular year, or give them choices based on what he knows and help them deduce the right answer. He also has great intuition as to what he thinks is right or wrong and it also helps that he seems like a very easygoing leader who knows his team well. He’s definitely the key player that will help Imperial win.
@@imthecoolest50 been wondering about that. Are they strangers to each other? Like new friends? Mays and Jackson looks really close and May always discussed it with Jackson. But in the later round, May did finally turn to Zeng and Sheriff
I honestly think that Zeng is wired to a room with a hundred fellow students. Some sitting in front of quantum computers, full sets of Encyclopedias, maps, flags, history books, etc.. 😉
To be fair this video was seeking to answer if Max really was the MVP for this team in this particular episode. So it makes sense to keep a tally of the others' scores for comparison.
Those top riches in the world esp Elon be thinking,, what tf is all these knowledge for simply by memorizing what had already happened or already there. Oh ya . for show. My neuron link can put terabyte of such info if u like to have soon.
Max was outstanding. However, if Max was the only member from Imperial, he won't be able to beat St. Johns with 90 score. Would he? So please appreciate the team effort 🙂
nobody pointed out if he was the only member? point of this video is to find out whether zeng was truly the mvp that he was being hailed for. do relook into the purpose of the video and the purpose of ur comment.
it's because he's stronger in that subject among other members? tell me you dont notice jackson looking to zeng for geography or sheriff for literature?
That’s your deduction after watching several clips of his head turning? I feel bad for you man… not all people are born smart, although I’m sure you realized long ago
@@JoeARedHawk275 read up more and study deeper into body language. Then talk. Yea. I agree. Not all are born smart. If u notice more than just the turning left behavior then u'll understand. Dont get me wrong. Im a supporter of imperial Zheng and i admire his smartness.
He sits at the side so naturally he faces his team mates who are to his left. What I find more interesting is that he would bow slightly or nod shyly and look down when he gets the right answer.
