Yes 😂. I first encountered intelligence of this level in my chemistry class when we were going through problems and the kid said, “no the textbook is wrong, I did the problem myself.” At that point I realized there were levels to the brain game 😂
Boy, Hutchinson was just milliseconds slower than Zeng in the Brecon Beacon question which decided the Championships. You could see how crushed he was.
the crazy thing is that hutchinson and his then gf had visited the brecon beacons and been on pen y fan, and still didn't get it before zeng. imagine being that good at geography...
I want some one to make a compilation of just “Krrrrr Imperial Tsssunggg”. I want that to be my alarm in the morning so I aspire for excellence from start of the day.
University Challenge is great if you want to feel stupid. I love how Paxman always acts like every answer is obvious, blithely rushing contestants "Come on!", and scowling at wrong answers. He should have an old schoolmaster's cloak.
You can tell this guy is special because in some of the answers he get's a "WTF" reaction out of Paxman, a man who is otherwise unbothered by the world around him.
Zeng would have 10 geography questions answered while the rest of them would still be trying to locate the answer to the first question on google maps .
Wow impressive. I generally don't find many people with strong geography knowledge, and this is probably my area of greatest strength along with history, and wow this is really impressive.
I've never seen anyone carry their team like this, not even against a video game lobby with one player solo against 9 other players, including their own teammates.
I wonder if biochemists are prone to have secondary obsessions, I know 3 personally; one is a pilot and spaceflight buff, another has a pro level molecular gastronomy setup, and the final guy does Olympic recurve on a regional level.
That's just high level stem people on the whole. I write software and do woodworking and was building engines from scratch for a bit, plus mess a lot with electronics.
Does he study biochemistry because putting him in a geography class would make him either too powerful and give all the professors complexes or because he's mastered it?
@madisonbryant4417 no he didnt. He was good at it. He was probably the second best player in this particular season, only behind Hutchinson who was his opponent in the final.
Did Paxman suffer an aneurysm or something? I hadn’t seen him for years and years before this clip, but I don’t remember him mumbling and slurring his words this much. Half the questions were barely intelligible because all the foreign names just became a blur…
@@yannicklokur for the record, the viewers get to see the picture at the start of the question, but the contestants don't see the pictures until the host finishes reading the question - so Zeng got it in under a second
Just boggles my brain to see someone, not only have, at some point, read all of this information, but also have the capacity to remember it and recall it.
