Dr Marshall, i have one question for you if you would allow it? I heard you say quite a few times that you were an Anglican "priest" before your Most Holy Conversion to the Church. Is it correct referring to protestant ministers as priests? A priest is ( and was since the beginning of mankind) a man set aside into a sacred state who represents society and offers sacrifice to God ( or to the heathen gods) .. the Holy Priesthood of Our Blessed Lord are NOT like regular men, they are changed when ordained and set aside for God's work. Pope Leo XIII infallibility declared that Anglican orders are null and void ( basically). So protestants do not have valid orders unlike the eastern schismatics. I just think in this day and age that words are important and we need to say exactly what we mean, especially when talking about things of God. Thank you for letting me complain about something minuscule. May Our Lord God Bless you and Our Lady keep you and yours.

I have croatian family and know someone who is friends with her family. She was baptized Catholic. She seems to have taken her role as a First Lady seriously and it has brought her back to her childhood faith which was Catholic.

Amazing how threatened people can be, while considering Melania being Catholic. It’s always interesting when people want to persecute a person whom had a past that what they believe bad. Our Lord surrounded himself with people that sought his forgiveness and changed their lives.
I had to smile at Melanie carrying a rosary on her wedding day. As a florist, I offered to incorporate rosaries and blessed medals into countless Catholic brides' bouquets. I have also designed bouquets so that the bride may separate part of her bouquet to place at the feet of a statue of our Blessed Mama Mary. I feel both are beautiful gestures for a Catholic wedding. Virgin, Most Powerful, wrap our first family under your mantle of protection.
If you think Melania is influencing Donald I’d say absolutely yes! Pretty sure that’s a major reason women were created- to civilize men! Women don’t need to be in roles not intended for them. They have untold power in their dedication to their families or if unmarried looking after and praying for others who need help and love.
Who says there are any roles not intended for women? All the countries that have a woman in charge have handled the Covid crisis so much better. Men need to be civilised yes, but not by subjugating women. Women do not need to play second fiddle to any man. As to Melania influencing her husband, I wish she would. There seems to be no way that his behaviour shows any sign of humanity, on the contrary, he shows all the signs of conceit, arrogance , insecurity, and bullying behaviour of the immature male. Not at all the qualities needed for the leader of an advanced nation. The two greatest nations in the world are lead by idiots, the sooner they are ousted and an intelligent person, male or female, the latter preferably, the better.
Why should she pray the Divine Mercy chaplet? It's such a modernist thing! If you really want to be Catholic, June is the month of the Sacred Heart. She should then pray to the Sacred Heart. It wasn't mentioned that she prays the Rosary, she just carries it around as far as we know. Pray for her and Donald to get their marriage regulated by the Catholic Church. This would be a real win!!!!
Cecilia Christo you do realize the Divine Mercy chaplet is an active plea and prayer for GOD’s mercy on the world and conversion don’t you? Maybe if you would pray that daily as I have for months - 3 times sometimes a day, as well as the rosary - ALL dedicated to conversion there might be a noticeable difference in the world? I mean seriously rather than you casting judgement about Melana’s state of grace and her marriage situation. Leave that to Jesus as HE is the sole Judge of eternal salvation or condemnation. Just remember whether you can complete the process or not stay strong in your faith, study the Bible and talk and pray to Jesus. Darlene Schieltz as Catholic I would weasel out of the rosary as many times as I could.i gave up church apart from going to mass on Sunday only because as a nurse Catholics got half hour freedom Sunday morning,where me and few others hid had cigarette. I have now done turn around started rosary and mass again. why did not the hierarchy in RC do something the other week.i am ashamed of them

The tradition of women carrying rosaries with their flowers down the aisle at their wedding has been around for quite a while. Some have their rosary intertwined with their bouquet. A beautiful tradition.

I’m a Catholic convert. My past is not good, but thank God that Our Lady interceded for me and I found Christ through the Catholic Church. If you went backwards and saw me 10 years ago and judged me today based on that, it would be a done deal for me.
A rosary is good to carry, but it is not required to get married. A marriage takes place with at a "nuptial Mass". A person follows the Mass during the ceremony. A rosary can be prayed before or after the Mass or at any other time.
In a convoluted way, it's encouraging that some commenters came on the side chat here today to foment, to underhandedly disperse un-Christian messages to us good folks. It means Dr. T's message gets traction. I pray that they leave the darkness to come into the Lord's Light. Cheers !

Rosary means "rose garden" from the Latin rosarium of the same meaning. About 100 years after it was introduced into English it was used for the set of prayers and about 50 years later for the string of beads. Rosary has never meant crown of roses, only "[a place] of roses". Crown would use some form of "coronam".

MARSHALL, OUR President has not been a Saint but, remember that Our Precious Lord while on the cross turned and told the thief next to him on the cross that he would be with him in heaven that day. So Our Lord is all merciful and forgiving. Our POTUS has been the first President that I remember that has defended the Church. And the same for Melania. I will continue to pray daily to Our Mother of Immaculate Conception and to Our Sacred Heart of Jesus for both of them. Through his Presidency.

One of my favorite movie quotes is from My Big Fat Greek Wedding: “The man is the head of the family, but the woman is the neck. And she can turn the head any way she wants.” I find it both hilarious and kind of true sometimes. I pray that FLOTUS turns the head of her family and the head of our nation toward Catholicism. Anyone who feels an aversion to the rosary might have a demonic attachment. I know no one wants to hear this, but an aversion to holy things is a sign of devil activity. I have sat in a Presbyterian church full of demonic laughter from people in the pews who do not even know they are doing it. I now wear my rosary everywhere and even to bed. Two examples: Putin's mother was a devout Orthodox woman. His father and grandfather were hard-core Communists. Joseph Stalin's mother and her side of the family were devout Orthodox Christians. After Stalin's father and mother parted ways (he was an abusive drunkard, who lost jobs and could not feed his family) Joseph Stalin, his (then surviving) siblings and mother moved back to the village where her family lived. She got a job doing laundry and cleaning houses. Joseph was sent to an Orthodox day school. Later, he was admitted to and attended an Orthodox seminary to become a priest. While at Seminary, he became enamored with Lenin's speeches and (either) quit or was asked to leave the seminary.

As first Lady she has been very modest and classy. She has prayed the Our father and prayed for the country and evoked God's protection. We all have things in our past that are not perfect. We need to see her for what she is now and not hold her past against her or judge her. She's beautiful, loving and caring and the most Godly first lady we have had. Pray for her and the president. Some of the greatest saints were once the greatest sinners.
What tools do you have to measure one's holiness. Those nude photos that inundate social media are disgraceful. No other first lady is in that despicable league. Thank God.

Catholicism has to many man made doctrines and rules who is a priest but another man to confess my sins I confess directly to JESUS not like a priest who says say 2 our fathers. I think reporters miss how much he listens. I reserved judgment when he was running the first time, had my doubts about his pro-life sincerity, but an elderly Catholic priest who is not Traditional in the slightest told me people can change, and in his opinion, Trump had sincerely converted to the pro-life truth. So I gave Trump the benefit of the doubt. Then I heard him in an interview on EWTN, and was struck by his humility. Keep in mind, the only thing I'd known about him was the insult battle with Oprah in the 1990s, which made him seem like a big mouth. I didn't know who he was, why I should care, or that he'd been on her show. Then I didn't hear about him again until 2016, when all I heard about him was that he was a hateful loud mouth. But the interview with Raymond Arroyo changed my view of him. Now I look at him putting other people front and center, letting them speak, asking them questions and listening to them. Compare the way he stands off to the side making himself less visible when someone else is at the podium at a press conference. Not necessarily the pandemic team so much, because he's part of that team, though he does draw focus to them. But look at clips of the people he honors, when he invites them to appear and speak to the press. Like the prisoners who were released on the Second Chance program. Trump almost disappeared among them when each spoke at the podium. I've never seen a president do that, not one of the 8 presidents who have been in office since I was old enough to notice. They've all been sure to be in the shot, making their presence known. But there's a reason people see Trump as "one of us," and it's because, for all his outspokenness, he humbles himself with ordinary people.
I was baptized as a baby, and went to catholic school up until high school. A priest I’ve always admired since basically kindergarten, the smartest, genuine priest I’ve ever had the honor of meeting. Father Joseph Esper. Look him up he’s written some books. Wonderful man and I remember when he gave a talk in class one day he said Catholicism is the one true religion and Dr Marshall basically re confirmed that. God bless everyone!! You need check your facts about Catholicism, and history of christianity. As an ex catholic my self ,you don’t get baptised in the Catholic Church you get sprinkled as a baby .read the bible we are to follow his Jesus example When John baptised Jesus he was fully under the water in the river which represents death to old life and rising to new life in Christ .the Catholic Church prays to different saints including Mary we are only to have One to pray to God . Most Catholic that I known use Jesus as a swear word.
Never mind religion. Religion will take you straight to hell. What about RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ? What about true repentance, turning away from sin continuously, accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior and receiving the free gift of salvation through faith and not of works? The word of God clearly states that NOBODY can enter into the kingdom unless they've been BORN AGAIN (transformation of heart, mind, etc). You are not saved by being baptized as a baby. You must be of an age where you can understand the gospel and make your own decision to REPENT, ASK FOR FORGIVENESS, ACCEPT JESUS AS LORD OF YOUR LIFE, AND RECEIVE THE FREE GIFT OF SALVATION. If you are truly saved, you would not be comfortable living the same way you lived BEFORE you came to Jesus. The Holy Spirit will convict you of sin and you will repent. As a Christ follower, there must be change in your life occuring that moves you closer and closer to God and you will WANT to follow God's commandments. No RELIGION can do what a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ can do. Period. Read your bibles. Jesus is coming VERY soon. Stay in constant communication with the Lord God, study and meditate on His word, and walk in the spirit at all times because the enemy works 24/7.
