Next up: SBMM based on how good and efficient you navigate the menus. The menus will get progressively harder to navigate with less shortcuts and more distractions, to keep the engagement level balanced across the board
it's already like that for me. Seriously, every time im popping off mid gunfight, it opens the choose class screen and makes me reselect a class. i know its just a bug but i seem to be the only one affected. EDIT: it also did the whole year of mw2
Yeah as IMO the remade maps are doing an insane amount of lifting, yeah MP seems better overall for what most tend to like.... however the rest of MW3 is a total joke and the game itself has a trivial amount of content since it's a fucking title update sold as full price.
It’s decent tho I feel that the sbmm went way higher than usual . Played about 50 matches and maybe 5-8 of those were fun relaxed and I could just chill . The other portion felt like everyone was playing to win a million dollars . As well as no matter how good your aim is the enemies never miss . That or you seem to never miss it’s just inconsistent . It’s first week tho so they will probaly iron a few things out . Promising so far just needs some smoothing out
COD Devs at sledgehammer already admitted they were forced to turn up the skill base match making and engagement optimization matchmaking in this game to increase max profit since this DLC hidden as a full game will be the last game under Activision’s control
I heard the sbmm crank up because of skill gap with sliding cancel and fast returning like in Cold War. Cold War before this cod is most sweaty cod I played
@@reygamerz8041 I feel like the crazy skill gap cods make the SBMM more noticeable because we all know that no mother fucker on they 65 inch plasma is slide canceling every corner straight to that memorized heady on week 1. Thats the thing when Im playing I'm good at cod but I don't actually know the mw2 maps very well I started on BO2 and because of that I'm really feeling my SBMM I don't know that its stronger just there is more things to exploit to get a leg up then last year and it makes a good player way more annoying to another good player. and if every player is roughly your skill level and exploiting the game to the same level as you it becomes repetitive mind numbing and just out right not fun
@@redhunnid5142I just dont get the logic behind that. How does more SBMM equal more profit? Most people seem to hate it, some to the point they quit playing. How does making the game frustrating and exhausting generate more profit?
Honestly, Pick 10 System should never make its way back to COD. It's a neat little mechanic, but it encourages you to maximize certain aspects of the class and neglect the rest, making the gameplay incredibly bland when I'd just run around with "A gun" with full attachments and perks without having any fun utility: grenade or secondary equipped because that gives me gunfight advantages. The best perk system I find is the original MW2 with its standard and pro effects. Perk should be empowering and have a noticeable effect on the battlefield. That's how players can customize their playstyle at such a deep level, not like MW2022 where basically every custom class plays out the same completely flat.
Man. Ace! You forgot to mention aftermarket parts. HUGE win from me. The idea of grinding to get an attachment that completely changed the way the weapon looks or feels is so cool to me. ACR in 300blk, the Bren 2 in 7.62 NATO AND 7.62x39? Awesome. Love that
I often find myself getting 'revenge spawns' where both myself and who I kill spawn very close to each other to cause another gunfight. This can lead to spawning in some very weird locations.
This happens a lot. I find it quite strange that Ace is not experiencing this. Because the spawns are still all over the place. You have to constantly check your back for "surprise spawns". Are they better compared to the beta? Definitely, however, they still need a lot of work.
That’s why you need to adopt guerrilla tactics by running away after selling your advancement to the enemy before they see the kill cam so they give false callouts to their teammates.
An issue I ran into is camo challenges not tracking properly. So far I’ve only noticed it for zombies, but it is really annoying loading in to a match getting the 100 kills only to find out it didn’t actually count it and I now have to reload back into the game and spend another 10 or 15 minutes running around redoing everything.
The armory queue makes no sense, it should automatically start right after the current challenge is done because having to go back in the armory and activate a queued one makes no sense and you could play matches and win for no reason bc you forgot to and your current challenge will just say completed and the next on isnt activated after
One thing that I've noticed as a hardcore player. The game ending/ match ending killcam is missing. Also the hud is inconsistent between game modes. Sometimes enemies red names show up. Sometimes the gun and grenades show Sometimes not.
I work all day and into the evenings. When i turn on MW3 at 10pm and play for an hour, i just have fun. I dont care about zombies or campaign. In fact, i only play team death match lol! I give MW3 an 8.5 for fun!
Great video as always! One thing I would like you to take a look at is whether the MW2 guns have been balanced properly for MW3... I have been using the RAAL LMG (my main weapon in MW2) and I feel it makes a lot less damage than it should. It may be just me, though...
A minor gripe I currently have with the game is the gunner vest is bugged. When equipping a primary in the secondary slot, my secondary will change to the default shotgun in game. It seems to be very inconsistent, but very annoying nonetheless
That's strange, I've never heard of this issue nor experienced it myself. And I use the gunner vest a lot. Are you using a default base primary in the secondary slot, or a custom one that you've saved? Maybe that has something to do with it? I'm just guessing
The armoury unlock system system seems cool, but the win requirement after finishing your dailies irritates the shit out of me. I'm fine with losing matches but now that I need wins to make progress towards unlocks I find I'm getting more and more frustrated by the underperforming teammates that SBMM puts me with.
how would you feel posting some videos about gameplay? teaching the power positions, rotation, etc...? i can find my way on warzone but i have a lot of dificult on multiplayer...
Don't know what you mean, spawns are an absolute mess, was on high highrise Dom and the spawns kept flipping like a damn skate board!! For absolutely no reason, TDM spawns are a joke as well, I kill someone and they spawn either behind me or close by and then they kill me and I spawn on the other side of the map, not to mention some nit wit decided a semi auto grenade launcher would be a great addition for some idiotic reason, a war machine kill streak I'd understand but as a secondary it's a load of bs!!
I know I'm going to get hate for this, but it's true. Disbanding lobbies whether it existed or not wouldn't matter, people don't stick around when they lose. I've played since COD4 and people staying in lobbies only ever mattered in S&D. As for SBMM, it's not an issue. Again, bad players will not stick around and COD has been around for over a decade, people have just gotten better. Bad players don't exist like they used to, they play Minecraft or Fortnite now. I have never had a hard time getting kills and playing well. If you absolutely hate SBMM, you're the one benefiting. You're not as good as you think, if SBMM didn't match you with similar players, you would get ran through by the best players. I got so many Nukes back in the day with literal random classes. I could never really do that now and honestly that's fine. I shouldn't be able to get a Nuke with a knife. Players shouldn't be hitting trick shots every match.
I’m enjoying the game a ton more than I have in recent years. I actually enjoy the daily challenges to unlock gear bc it adds in that grind and incentive to win. The only issue I have is the SBMM in casual playlists being as sweaty as it is. Seems I have to sweat to go even positive at times
I played high-rise Hardpoint for the first time last night and spawned at the same location every single time because the other team got map control early on lmao
I do feel generally positive about this game. It's not unplayable, and I think I really only have 3 things left to complain about... 1. SBMM needs to go, it's no secret, no one like it, and whoever put it there deserves to be whined at until it's gone. 2. The Armory unlocks can be done better. 3. I feel like someone is always up my ass with a shotgun. Ok, it's not always literally a shotgun, but every game is so damn sweaty that unfortunately, my fun doesn't last long. It makes me wonder if even if this is a good COD, if I should just let it go after this one. :/
Very excited for this year, specially after skipping mw2 when a discount comes I'll be sure to grab it since there is no way I'm paying for the lackluster zombies experience or the beyond godawful campaign, regardless looking forward on your coverage and guides thx ace
Maybe like 10 Cod points per win for your bonus challenges instead of unlocking attachments/weapons would be a cool incentive to get wins. 10 cod points isn’t an absurd amount but idk just a thought.
The thing that really pissed me off is the fact that war has sbmm now and records your kd, like im supposed to be just chilling and playing and i get matched against some sweaty who went high rank in effing mw2.
Wait: My main criticism - the MW2 weapons seem not to be well tuned for MW3. Switching from an MW3 weapon to an MW2 weapon ... is a world's difference. The MW2 weapons still have a ton of flash and still a bit too much visual recoil. I think they need to be rebalanced. :/ ttk/TTD is good for me. My suspicion is that it's worse for NA players. EU servers feel well. The armory system is.. also not so well tuned. Getting dailies for equipment that you haven't unlocked yet is mean. Connecting armory tokens to winning.. yeah okay. Most players should have around 40-50% winrate with totally random lobbies. So, it's in the end just: Play to get tokens. Not the best way.. I'd prefer if they connected it to score. Overall, the game is very enjoyable! I'm really liking it. The movement and gunplay and core feel are amazing.
I noticed they reverted the thing with explosive damage. you are now stuck in place when hit directly by a grenade or the blast. it is annoying as hell
If you don't like the Wins for the Armory Unlock Tokens, you can always just grind out Zombies. 3 Contracts = 1 Token, which means depending on how fast you are or how many upgrades you bring in from the get go, you can get between 4 and 6 of these Tokens done in a single deployment.
What about daily challenges requiring items that are still locked behind armory unlocks? Basically means you have to wait until the next day to complete some challenges. Is there a way to reset the challenges that i am missing?
Its OK. The problem for me is SBMM. Sometimes I feel like god with 2,5 KD, but most of the time I feel like trash with 0,3 KD. Its not consistant at all and I canot tell If I am making any progress... I know Im am like 0,8 KD player, but It would be nice to see some progress like from 0,6 to 0,8 KD If I would try hard for a while... This way Im allways around 1...
I feel like the weapons take forever to level up, and this wasn’t that big of a deal in mw2 bc guns went to like lvl 20 so it wasn’t as bad but lvl 30 with slow xp for mw3 is kinda rough. Kinda need to use a 2xp token lmao
After many years ...I did get it... ....the lobbies drove me away. Breaking my 15 year Master prestige steak. Rather burn 70 bucks in the front yard to avoid being annoyed to no end.
Man, I am very split. On one hand I am happy that the 6v6 multiplayer is pretty good. On the other hand the campaign sucks, zombies sucks, and we have to put up with this EBMM again, all that for 70$. Maybe I'll buy it at a steep discount.
Literally 10 bad games in a row with the feeling that my aim just got turned off, halfed dmg, and the enemy's reflexes are doubled. Unplayable sometimes
Agree with everything u said, but you didn't mention the killstreaks/scorestreaks need a buff I get some of the high scorestreaks and they get like 5,6kills like wtf is that and the nuke stills kill you as well teammates like that's dump af
I like just about everything except for how unbelievably strict the SBMM is, it kills how long I can play without feeling some deal of fatigue with the game. I would describe myself as an above average FPS player, but definitely not a pub stomper by any means, and I hate that whenever I have a moderately good game I'm immediately thrown into a lobby with TTV and CDL sweats, it's brutal.
Why do people want pick 10 in nearby every new cod all the time, dont get me wrong i rather anything simple than constantly different customization systems, but what's so bad about having just ur average mw customization as 3 different perks, specialist/kill or scorestreak option, and having 5 or 6 attachment slots for any gun,and possibly scope options for launchers, and aw style attachments stuff like shields that arent put on ur back when switch to ur other weapon. My problems with mw2 was too much attachments, not enough reast time, and ttk was 50/50,all of thos problems were gone when i played the beta, good to know the complete game will be much better when i play mw3
I like the multiplayer, but I think they handled the inclusion of MWII guns poorly. It was very annoying to hop on mp day one excited to see all the new weapons and level them up, only to constantly lose gunfight after gunfight to guys running fully kitted out M4s or MP7s from the last game. Maybe you should’ve unlocked all the MW3 guns over your 55 levels and then used unlock points after level 25 to regain access to some of the MW2 guns
I like this years mp wayyy better than last years just because if the movement and gunplay. My only issue is the modes kinda suck. I wish cyber attack was in at least.
I’m glad you talked about the TTK/TTD problem because I have noticed that myself and found it super frustrating in matches where it takes me 2 hits to die, but I can hit my enemy 5-6 times until they die.
@@AlbungaLativSBMM can have a huge impact on connection in this game. This game is significantly more concerned with making sure you sweat rather than how stable your connection is.
You aren't dying in two hits, but because of shoddy connection the server processes it in a frame or two, making it feel like it was almost instant, but on the other guys side, he probably put 4-6 shots into you.
Thank you Ace, for the completely honest and mostly unbiased review of MW3. I’ve been trying to keep track of the performance of this game because I feel that I’ve been duped too many times from other cod releases and I don’t want to buy the game until I know it’s worth buying. All of the factual pros and cons that you provide help me decide for myself whether or not the game is for me. I still plan to wait on buying the game because I believe that there is more to learn about the game and its performance and I really don’t want to be disappointed again.
I really want to play this game so bad but the sbmm or whatever you want to call it now is a deal breaker. Last year was the first time i skipped cod because sbmm was just out of hand. Was hoping they tuned it down this year but I guess not so it looks like my cod days are over. Really sad a game I've loved so much over the years no longer cares about players like me.
I’m in the same boat as you, completely agree. The core gameplay looks like it would be so fun to play but having to sweat like you’re in a tournament every single game is just not fun whatsoever. Gonna be a skip for me unless they tone it back.
I know the sbmm/eomm is talked about every year, and they refuse to acknowledge the existence of it. But Ace could you, schedule permitted, get all the big call of duty content creators to come out and make it a big story. Because it seems like every time it’s talked about but only to one community at a time. I feel like there could be more impact if it was all talked about at once to get a larger part of the player base to talk about it. It’s more of an issue when going solo or with 1-2 friends. As they don’t ever play with me unless it’s a full party. Because then it will be only maybe 1-2 people at my level in the lobby instead of the whole team. Thank you for the time and dedication you put into this content. Really appreciate it
Activision don't care, they treat their consumers like idiots (cause they sort of are) and will continue doing SBMM because it drives up grind time for certain live service challenges. They're basing their decision on numbers, not youtube opinions The only number that would matter is the number of people that chose not to give them money from SBMM alone. Then they would pay attention
The real kicker is that I've never seen a single person who likes it so wtf are they doing A couple goobers will defend it and say it's no big deal but literally never a single person who actually wants it
@@joshlee7935prior to live service direction (mw19) it was mostly team balancing and a very soft sbmm hence why no need to disband lobbies every game and sacrifice ping. Now its main focus is to manipulate everyone’s experience to be as close to mid as possible to maximise overall player retention/monetisation whilst giving no incentive to play well or improve. It’s boring af and ruined gaming imo. Gameplay/enjoyment level is literally pre-determined before you even shoot your gun
The zombies is also a lot better than I thought it would be, and it’s nice that you can unlock guns and equipment from zombies to use in multiplayer because it ties them together so they work very well together
I had a feeling when everyone was crying over the timer, the map, the mode that they were all gonna be eating their words, or just not play. I agree with the sentiment that round based zoms should come, they can add Kosechi complex style thing where "only your squad can drop into this smaller map" thing and just make them round based zombies. Anyway, I had a feeling with the level of advertisement they put to zombies and the level of shit they were talking about adding to it to make the game bigger and Bigger, I knew it was gonna be solid and fun, no way they push a mode that hard and it ends up being DMZ, not loved or updated and overall meh. If it WAS meh on drop I knew they'd fix it fast af
War mode was hilariously bad when I played it. Not sure if it was due to my team being literal bots and failing at the first objective both matches, or the fact that the enemies also steamrolled us within like 8 minutes each time as well. "SBMM isn't in War" is not true. Not sure where people got that from. Edit: I'm pretty sure the first match someone dropped 100+ kills with a Sniper/Shotgun combo. Not on my team though of course.
Fucking hate the fact that people say SBMM has gotten stronger with every new title ......🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️SBMM has been horrible for YEEEAARS. Even in Black Ops 4 its crazy.
Glad you mentioned inconsistent gun fights at 9:37 it’s like 4 shots is minimum for me at even close-medium range with anything but in my enemies killcam they fry me in 3 shots even at long range even if I shot first, not even saying I got pro aim or anything
@aimcrazy5843 that's literally not why it's a net code issue your dead before you even can react ill get in multiple shots then they look at me for 1 second and I'm dead.
I agree, my BIGGEST gripe has been the forced lobby disbandment. Why is it so hard for people to leave a lobby if they don't want to play with a certain group? Let us rematch, run it back and talk trash. That's what made pub matches so much fun, meanwhile nowadays if you aren't playing with a group multi-player is a quite lonely experience.
Yeah nobody is in game chat by themselves. And why would they be? Not like they’ll ever see those players again cuz it’s time to recalculate your skill and decide wether you’re allowed to win your next match or not.
The disbanded lobbies are a pain for me mostly because after I complete a full game I get thrown to a new game that’s already in progress and usually my team is losing and the opps already have streaks going and we take an L that I had no ability to affect. If they are going to tie unlocks to wins, I don’t want to be thrown into unwinable games
Might be weird to ask, but would actually love to see at least a small clip or something of some of the ‘bad’ matches you get into, like when SBMM is really giving it to you lol
@@morsecode5078it's all part of the marketing for the game ...if they post shit gameplay potential buyers may see it and be put off thinking "if a RU-vidr is so bad at it what chance would I have" 🤔
Not sure why this isn't a thing but zombies needs to expand the squads to 4 players. Zombies has always been 4 players since World at War. Since there's zero PvP in Zombies, this should be fixed by S1 I'm hoping.
@@thomasjohnson1399dmz shouldn’t have been 3 man either. 3 players doesn’t make sense. Most games have been 4 player coop. Why all of the sudden are we going backwards to an odd 3 player coop?
The SBMM is just absolutely unbelievable this year. You literally can’t party up with different skill tiered players, because the majority of the party gets screwed.
Look at it this way, most people who will end up playing this game don’t have it yet and most of the players who have it still need to unlock their preferred class setups and to learn the maps (currently a wide gap in map knowledge due to many not playing the original MW2).
Yep, when I play with most of my friends (who are generally lower skilled than I am) they can only get through a few games before hopping off because my lobbies are filled with sweats… But solo queuing is miserable for me. It’s a no win situation.
@@David_1789 What relevance does people who didn't play the original mw2 and that people haven't bought the game yet have with the comment about sbmm and partying up?
yeah SBMM conbined with some lag/desync issue is making ttk and ttd super inconsistent at time. Still overall a quite positive experience for me, but hopefully those issues are fixable (and soon).
@@_Idolin Agreed. For a meantime I would love to play some zombies, but the mode keeps crashing like crazy. Well, cod launches be like this every time.
@@RavetsU yeah there's actually a reason to play zombies now cause we need to unlock equipment and guns, plus no PvP, and zombies are just more interesting overall (than human NPCs in DMZ). Haven't seen any crashes yet though so I guess I'm lucky.
@@_Idolin You're really lucky. People farming xp with exfils are one of the many reasons that the servers go kaput most of the time. I've always loved zombies, considering myself as old school casual zombies fan and this mode, yet far from perfect, is a nice place to just chill. Story ain't that interesting, but that's okay to me.
The spawns are so desperately bad on Hardpoint, they have to be sorted ASAP. The game itself is good, but whatever spawn system they're using is really holding it back
Interesting, I haven't seen that. And I only play hardcore. hard point/control/domination ... (in MW2019 I would play an entire 2-3 hours session with demolition and headquarters) ...
@@steerj07I hate the big maps on Hardpoint, they don't play well and have awful spawns. Afghan sucks ass, got people spawning across from eachother on the top hill just to be spawn trapped and nade spammed. These maps suck in terms of spawns and playability: Quarry, Rundown, Wasteland, Afghan, Estate and Derail. You only get spawn traps, terrible spawn positions, bad hardpoint locations, and extremely sticky spawn locations. You could be right on the OBJ but your team will still be spawning half way across the map. Its fickle how the spawns work in Hardpoint. It feels like the mode and maps doen't work with the faster movement, long line of sights and map flow. Its almost as if it was designed and works better for a slower paced game... *LOOKS AT MW2 (2022)*
It's real rough on KB&M. Aim feels floaty so it's impossible to track. When you do appear to be on an enemy, it takes 30 bullets to kill someone while you get deleted in 1-2 hits.
Content creators have a job to tell the truth, Infinity Ward has clearly jumped the shark. Player retention will cost them hundreds of millions, and I'm here for it.
This is the first time ive ever had the desync feel of gunfights so bad. Out of every 10 matches i always only seem to have 2 matches where the connection feels decent enough where i feel like im actually hitting them and they are actually killing me with the correct amount of shots. It's like you said though, this is the first week and hopefully it kind smooths out cause my gosh it feels horrible most of the time when im playing.
Okay so I’m not the only one feeling that. Moments where I get the first shot off and should kill someone is a coin toss of whether I die or not. My internet is always in the high teens and low twenties, so idk what it is. Could be skill issue, but normally I’m pretty decent. I can’t explain it
I definitely had it the past 2 years but only noticed it because of getting outgunned in ranked even tho my aim is pretty good. I actually hope it doesn’t smooth out so that they address the issue. They’re a billion dollar company with some of the worst servers on the market. Even halos feel better to me lol
I'm happy you like MW3, but as someone that was VERY far removed from the Call of Duty scene for almost 10 years, I feel betrayed. My favorite COD game ever was MW2. The pure nostalgia of resurrecting the name MW2 and thinking I'd be able to play a modern version of COD on my favorite maps got me to buy MW2. There was tons of talks of the maps in MW3 making it to MW2, they even had them in the Warzone map, so I was lead on to believe that I'd be spending money and eventually getting that MW2 nostalgia in full. I sold a ton of things on Steam that I had saved for years just to get enough money to buy the game. Money is tight, but I thought, even if they release the maps as a 20-30 dollar upgrade, it might be worth it for me. Now, I need to buy an entirely new game for FULL AAA price to reminisce about MW2 in a game called.... MW3? It just doesn't make any sense, and to top it all off MW2 was just ok. To the point, where I don't even play it anymore and didn't really get my moneys worth (just my opinion). And to cap off the pain, this game is supposedly the best gun play and gameplay in COD for awhile now and I can't afford it because feeding my family is worth more than paying $140 in basically just one year to play COD. This company had a chance to win a very willing customer back. But they've done nothing to earn more of my money than the 70 dollars they swindled me for. It's just not worth being preyed on. They played on my emotions once and I got burned and now, even if MW3 is EXACTLY the version of COD I had been hoping for for years, I won't buy it, sorry. Then again, what was I supposed to expect. I shouldn't have spent money before I understood what I was getting myself into. Unfortunately, being so far out of the loop, I just wasn't prepared for the subtle thievery.
If everything from Mw2 didn't transfer over there would be absolutely ZERO content. Nostalgia is a lie. The maps look great and play like shit. We have SBMM on steroids, SB aim assist, so many bugs and this new armory unlock system. Go try it for yourself and make your own opinions. You won't get unbiased opinions from these content creators who get free stuff and invites to the studio from Activision.
Back in the mw2 days I mostly played ground war and felt the maps were great for 9v9. A lot of the maps feel too large for 6v6, too much down time but I guess that's personal preference. Hopefully they add the bigger playlist at some point.
As someone who didn’t play any of these maps before, it’s been a struggle to learn em with the insane sbmm. Some of em I like and imo some of them really didn’t age well.
Underground was the most hated map on MW2 but i personally loved it. This map most likely benefits the most out of all the remade maps for the new engine as the OG was hazy Rundown depends on the lobby Derail is the worst map but with map voting youll barely ever play it Estate is ok, it can be boring and campy or it can be fun. Map really depends on the lobby
@@chickenfkeryay that’s funny cause I’ve player derail as much as any other map so far and I agree it’s terrible. A lot of these maps are sniper friendly which was fine with insane ttk I assume but now it’s just been hard scope city.
I’m loving it! Great stuff! Best it’s been in years, me personally I’m liking where SMG’s are at, they shouldn’t have the range of an assault rifle. So many times I’ve been melted far away by an SMG
I get without COD you're not making money so you need to hype this up but yeah this years "COD" is a slap ion the face to everyone I'm going back to 2019.
@jeremybrown9611 Poor network connection and sweat lobbies all the way. My opponents have a ping range of 10-30, while mine is usually in the range of 100-110, although it can sometimes be around 80-90. The game's high TTK makes it even more frustrating to play because I lose 80% of gunfights. In MW2, my ping was consistently at 90, and while playing against opponents with 30 ping was tough, I still managed to have fun and even achieved the Orion Camo and 1250 level.
@@ap1esin Damn bruh thats crazy. My Ping be in the 90's as well but Im usually in lobbies with 30-45 ping, and this was the case for MW2 as well. Shit we just figured that was a normal thing cause when the pings high you get lobbies to you research or join a friend
Most recently me and my Bro were experiencing network issues, we knew for sure it wasnt on that end. Best advice I can give till the fix these issues, is to not play MP but just chill playing Zombies...granted the Host connection is solid cause this morning the lobbie freezed up when we were trying to extract. In terms of SBMM, it aint going nowhere so all we can do is adapt or till the game to F Off
@@jeremybrown9611 Yeah that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'll just chill for a month or so, maybe the servers will be less stressed or SHG will fix something.
Honestly, this is one of the best in the past years. The biggest gripes for me are the sbmm because for having even a 2kd in a game means Ill have to sweat for the next 5 games to do even remotely decently, the de-sync issues, 9/10 times it feels like I die in 2 bullets, plus I can rarely win a gunfight without being 1shot after the fact because they always somehow have time to turn around and shoot back. And my ping average is between 15 to 23. The final one is that camping at least from my experience seems to be off the charts. And its not even getting spawn trapped. People will just sit in their spawn or a random corner of the map and hold it down like their life depends on it. Hardcore is virtually unplayable because of campers. I tried hardcore to grind some camos and it was a miserable experience. No one is moving, except to the first place they can mount or headglitch. Then it turns into a standoff of which team will have more patience to stay in one place and tunnel vision while picking of anyone who tries to move. Apart from that, everything else feels fresh and actually functional for a change.
I have similar complaints, however, I find this to be one of the *worst* call of duty games put out in the last decade. I would literally rather play vanguard. Interesting how we all gripe about the same crap but disagree on what actually makes the game "good". Not here to make fun of ya or anything.. just found your take on the situation interesting.
I'm pretty sure one match I joined late near the end/halfway-ish point, I went like 7-1, and the next 5 games were literal MLG pros that destroyed my team like it was a warm up match for them. My team pretty much never had a single chance whatsoever to win in those matches. All because I had a "7 K.D." one match.
@@edgyjorgensen3286 I guess it´s all down to preferences. Alot of people disliked mw19 but that was my most played cod, mostly because SnD was amazing and we had a 6man team almost constantly. This at least for me feels pretty similar with some quality of life improvements. But it is interesting to see the common denominator seems to be the algorithmic manipulation.
The ttk vs ttd is a huge issue for me because it happens most games for me. I'm leaning more towards grinding weapon levels and camos in zombies because multiplayer is just a terrible experience for me at the moment.
The ttd isn't real btw it's just how it looks. They still killing you in the same time etc. Just need to ignore it and think why you lost the gunfight instead
@@therealfreekshowit’s CoD. It will always be point and shoot. I preferred 100 health because kill times just felt more consistent, and it made the TTK and perceived time to die closer.
@@KiddBuu_TTK increasing still improves the skill gap in regards to gun skill. Yes, still point to shoot but you have to point and shoot more consistently and you don't get evaporated every gun fight when you play against players who can shoot back - it's nice to be able to jiggle peak for example.
I wish visibility was easier or better to depict ppl from farther away (I think they used to have an attachment/perk while ads for it in an older game) that like camp in upstairs places of buildings like on maps like underpass, quarry or derail, it’s just so hard to see where you’re getting beamed from
Yeah I’ve noticed it’s often hard to see characters against backgrounds. Lots of grey on grey. And that Groot-skin on wasteland is basically invisible!
I really like having to go for the win once you complete the daily challenges. There are way too many games where people don’t care about trying to win and this hurts the game flow imo. So having a real incentive to win games is a great thing imo.
They should have just made wins the only way to unlock items. Sure, it’s nice once you complete the three daily challenges, but there are literally millions of players doing stupid challenges like getting assists first.
I think they should've made CAMOS more dependent on wins. I don't hate the current system, but unlocking camos would be more appropriate to me than items/perks.
If everyone had that mentality it may be a good feature, but in COD it’s a shit feature because most people don’t go for the win and that punishes the people trying to unlock these items because 9 out of 10 times, you’re not going to be able to win the game on your own. My ability to unlock the core MP items should absolutely never be tied to how well my teammates may or may not perform, or whether or not my teammates decide to play the objectives or not.
@@Ice43Man This is actually why it's a good feature, as if you punish people enough for not trying to win and actually play the objective they'll either quit or start being a team player. Either way it's a net positive for everyone who sticks around.
My thing with the disbanding lobbies is you get a fresh game and after it ends it seems like your always joining a match in progress and it’s so frustrating
@@aslakjeans1280 exactly bro. I had a stretch of like 4 games the other night where I joined Dom matches and they all were like 75% over. Why is it adding me to this shit.
If it ever decides to be launched 😤 This summer would have been the perfect window for Xdefiant. Now it has to Wait for the mw3 season 1 fatigue for a chance to get a decent player base
I completely agree. We have similar tastes. Cold War was awesome but this one… With all the OG maps… I dont feel lost. Whatever map load I can hop in and feel comfortable. I enjoy having lanes and flow to the maps again. MW2 maps were AWFUL for me. One small gripe. As a solo player I wish I could see in the lobby if I am having to play against a squad so I had the opportunity to back out first. Getting into a lobby and figuring our I am playing a whole squad in DOM as they are strategically holding down every lane and there is no balance in the lobby….. Not fun
I want to see improvements to the perk balance. Stalker boots, climbing boots and tactical pads are all clearly outclassed. Covert sneakers are also way too essential compared to its counterparts and how loud the base footsteps are
Agreed. The only class without Covert Sneakers that I currently have is my Anti Air / LMG class. Just for the sole fact that it's a LMG and I most definitely will not be rushing with that. Every other class has Covert+Ghost combination. No reason to pick any other perks.
Hey Ace, could you make a video on movement and positioning? I feel like I'm just constantly getting shit on because I'm in the wrong place at the wrong time which feels like any place any of the time.
Agree with everything you said. One more thing i dislike though is that we can’t prestige for the first month. I miss the races to master prestige in the old days
Yea it’s so dumb they took that out. Capping it at 55 makes no sense. Now all of the camo challenges and any other challenges are just wasting xp until they increase it. Makes it way harder to level up once they finally do raise it
Was just thinkin yesterday how I’d like a vest option that gives an extra piece of gear while giving up the tactical instead of the lethal. More vests being added would be great. Also have mixed feelings on armory unlocks. Definitely don’t like base weapons being tied into that. Those should’ve been left out.
@@ZANGETSUxPR while true, still shouldn’t have to go that route. Base weapons should all be obtainable through the normal level up imo. Save the armory unlocks for the perks, equipment and certain attachments/ammo conversion kits.
My beta experience taught me two things: 1. The bones of the game are fantastic an probably the best they’ve been since BO4 2. The SBMM completely negates all those improvements and makes the game unplayable. It’s literally the reason I cancelled my Pre-Order
