Great video. You covered all the prospects really well. I am not sure if you will ever read this comment, but as a fresh mechatronics engineer, with no prior work experience other than a 2 month internship and who is getting into MS engineering management, i feel that you could have explain a bit more for the inexperienced ms students. What can they do to have a better chance at landing a job or what kind of mindset should they have. You could have talked about internships as they count as work experience too. I know you talked about being dedicated towards the studies and be persistent at the career fairs, but if these are the only two options we have, then it does kind of stir up a panic specially hearing about the questions they ask in an interview which cant be answered without any experience. It would have been great if you talked in a bit more detail on how non-experienced masters graduates should go for a job hunt, and what kind of jobs should they look for since apparently, they will not be getting a manager post straight away without any experience. Thankyou.

Proactive on LinkedIn, Campus technical activities, goto career fairs.. Can get assistant PM if no one experience. Management all about about your confident persona else skills>experience.

Engineering management is a good degree program to get into if you're someone who likes engineering or has a previous engineering background when you were doing your bachelors in whatever engineering course you were taking but the engineering manager is a bridge between the engineering department and the administration.

How much of a work ex is a good work ex as per you? I graduated in Jun 2018 and I got placed into a company. Although my designation is a GET, I am working as a buyer here. It’s been over 6 months. It is 1 step below supervisor, so I am currently looking between manufacturing engineering or management engineering. Your video help to understand a little bit better the program. Anyone I knew that actually found job in a good company had already done some kind of internship as business analyst or software engineering or something like that and mostly they focused on their previous experience to get the next job.

@@jatingulrajani9834 No, I have researched onlu about MEM as I have experience related to it. And, also MIM may seem similar to MEM but they are different, MEM comes under STEM course which will allow you to stay in for 2 more years after graduation. And about MiS, this comes under STEM course but I haven't researched about it.
I also want to apply to mem but i have no idea about the placement oppurtunities available after the masters, considering mem is costly compared to data science and business analytics.
@@adityaraghunandan2264See unlike India, USA doesn't have campus placements, you have to do job search on your own. The university will play some part but lot of it will be on your shoulders. See, you gotta understand that the MEM is not for entry level jobs, it main focus is to train you to take up leadership postions. I would recommend go for MEM if you got some work experience in any field otherwise you will find difficulty finding jobs. I hope I answered your question.

And from my previous experience you should ask too a proper education consultant like idp or someone else because they knew more insight than a random person on net. Don't pay to anyone there are plenty of free resources. Best of luck.

Not necessarily. He said that you should then join clubs to gain managerial experience during your studies. However, in europe a 4-6 months internship is part of the curriculum, so getting a job wouldn't be crazy difficult. I would still suggest you to do your research and contact your university and ask them about placement statistics and stuff.
