I’ve always loved Porsches, but it wasn’t until the age of 40 that I got to drive one. My wife bought me a nice track day experience with a 911 and when I got out I was literally shaking with happiness, and nearly in tears. From boyhood memories of a 959 poster on my bedroom wall to driving a 911 around Castle Combe. Life’s good at 46. I drive a Saab and my wife buys me socks for my birthday, but I still get a kick out of watching somebody else enjoying their Porsche.

No mate. When you've made it you have a boat. They finance TurboS to anyone. Could get one on £50k a year job if you throw down £20k against it. That's exactly what my mate done and he's a builder he makes £55k max and I mean max with loads of extra weekends working. He still has money to spare too.

Porsche is way more refined and engineered to perfection, and you can hear it. Also, it's great to see a driver love their car. Too many on RU-vid just shit on the car they bought.
My daily driver is a '04 Volvo XC90...it also doubles as my work truck and weekender. I've been a car enthusiast my whole life. I cry myself to sleep at night!

Hey Matt, congrats on the new daily! I remember back in the late ‘80s when the Porsche 959 came out, Car and Driver or Road and Track magazine tested it and stated that the 959 accelerates so hard that if the driver was stopped and ready, you could drive past the 959 at 100mph(160km/h) and the 959 would overtake you within 1km. I would love to see you try that test with your 911 Turbo S. keep up the great work, always entertaining.

Even if I had the money, I would never daily drive a car like this. It would be frustrating just idling in traffic, not able to use what the car is made for.
he didnt buy it, he just got it for long term testing, so i believe we might get some more in depth review. In some vids he was already complaining with carrera that its not really car to enjoy on road cuz the moment you rev up the car in 2nd gear you are already speeding. With this much power the 911 turbo S has, it is going to be the same thing

There are 6 cars in my house. I’ve got many siblings 😅 Even though their cars are newer, my 18 year old Honda is the only one with auto cruise and I agree, it’s really worth having it.

Love it. I've heard some owners have had issues with those wheels - you need special tools to remove the wheels as they are centrally locked. They look great though!
i almost bought a turbo s for daily...was checking out a car, liked it very much. before i left, i asked the seller to rev it to the redline. Sounded like crap, like a vacuum cleaner. All the fascination with car went down the toilet, ran as far away as I could N/A forever. Went back and bought N/A boxster as daily, and have a fleet of N/A supercars for the weekends

Just recently paid over 80k over MSRP for a 911 turbo S July allocation. With options, I paid around 320k for the car. It's insane how expensive cars are worth these days.
alot of the people here wished to have a porsche turbo S as a daily driver... and I just love it when people act like it's a normal car to own when people like me dream about it every day, eventhough i'll never be able to afford it.
Sensational choice, I think its a little quieter than my 718GTS 4.0. The Hyundai sounds good but doesn't have the clout to back it up. I adore your 911Turbo. The only thing that effects every day usability at the moment is the crazy costs of fuel
The proper Hyundai N cars have a form of Anti Lag, thus why they sound soo good. Not a fair fight in the sound department against a 911 with a Relatively normal engine & exhaust combo.
@@Neojhun and im pretty sure the new legislation has ruined loud exhausts too, even the new amg gt black series sounds tame as, where as a year or two ago the amg v8's sounded like absolute beasts straight from factory! Id just go aftermarket

Android auto.. $18k Hyundai's have android auto, PATHETIC company Also even without those crackles, the Hyundai had a better exhaust note, did you not hear it? He paid over 2 grand for a "sports" exhaust and it sounds pathetic, objectively way worse then a $50k supra or a $60k c8(just watch how much the c8 zr1 will smoke this Porsche and for way less money) what defense is this
What an awesome DD to have. I realize you don't usually modify your vehicles but as awesome as these are stock I don't think I could resist a tune atleast. Tune for E85, intercooler, exhaust, intake, upgraded turbos would make this an insanely fast and in this spec a super stealthy DD.
And he deserves EVERY BIT OF IT. Man is legitimately #1 at what he does. I remember when he first stepped onto the scene. Man has literally become the Michael Jordan of this shxt💎👌🤾♂️💪
I mean I absolutely love Porsche! BUT to especially have coloured ambient lighting and some other stuff cost extra which has to be included at most in the top of the line model is just ridiculous! My S8plus (which I sold via carwow btw) had basically everything as standard!
This is well deserved Matt, you work hard and you're great to watch, really entertaining. Still, that doesn't stop me from feeling disgustingly jealous of owning my dream car. And I'm like 10 years older than you. Oh well. Who says a 12 year old VW 2.0 tdi isn't someone's dream car, maybe?
MATT WATSON IS THE KIND OF GUY That scoffs at Porsche options costs but borrows a Turbo S as a daily driver. That needs a soft limiter delete on all cars.
I feel like if you can afford to buy and run a car like this you might as well option it out as much as possible, even if some of the options are quite useless.
My mate runs a TurboS on £50k a year mate. He threw down 20k on it and thats it. They are cheaper to run than a 4X4 or a BMW simply because they don't break down every other week.
@@senatorarmstrong2100 yeh if I rember right his basic is 45 but his bonus makes it to 50 and all he had to do was tip up on time and not get into trouble to many times so was a guaranteed 50. I'm sure he said it's about £5k on top of that if he works the weekends or lots of night jobs. He maybe makes about £2k on ebay a year he sells stuff he half inches from work.
