Jokic is as good of a scorer and a WAY better passer, a better rebounder and a better defender. The only thing Dirk really had over him was being a better shooter.

Dirk had a top 3 defence and a very deep team. People just act like he was by himself.

Dirk also didn't need an offensive threat to win his ring. He had one of the best defensive teams while being bad at defense himself. He had role players averaging like 15 ppg which was a lot of help back in 2011. If it wasnt for his team he would've never won. They carried themselves so much that most of dirks highlights from 2011 finals came from the end of the game, because his team helped him stay in there long enough for him to make big plays. Yall love to disrespect others to make your statement look more real. Also dont forget what teams did the mavs beat before the finals. They were no joke, and not because Dirk was there. He was an actual playoff joke before he won his ring.

Dirk played with Nash, Kidd, Finley, and monta ellis.

I see a mix of Tim Duncan, Bird, Magic, and Dirk personally. He's really one of a kind, I don't see one player to compare him to.

His shooting mechanics are 1 to 1 with bird. But his low post game and passing is better.

Jokic is also a much more efficient player.

I think he's more dominant the way he is currently, his stamina is already insane, and I feel like his build helps him stay out of injury trouble. He's got some padding lmao, so unlike most stars, he's out there playing nearly every game.

To be fair jokic was not going against big body beasts of centers this post season so his numbers in the paint can be a bit inflated atm however I think in the next few seasons teams will realize this and get them a player that can guard jokic better cause I love the heat but we have no center that can even attempt to guard jokic in the paint

I have Jokić at 6 behind everyone besides Moses. Moses was incredible, don’t get me wrong. But realistically Jokić should have 3 MVPs now. That ties Moses on that front. Jokić is the better all-around player, and that puts him above Moses for me. It’s very close at the moment though because Jokić doesn’t have the hardware to go along with his skills. But he’s gonna win a ring and Finals MVP in the next game(s).

@@Amaling this is a dumb argument, to be blunt. We value Tim Duncan for his leadership and winning ability, and Bill Russell is undoubtedly the best in those two areas. He also beat Wilt and many other HoF players to win those championships. He’s got incredible stats for the type of basketball he played, and if you put him into any other era of basketball, he’d undoubtedly be an all-time great. He’s one of if not the best defensive players of all time. Comparing players of the past and the present is how we get to the GOAT debate in general. We should use context, ability, and accomplishments to decide who is the greatest. Bill Russell absolutely should be top five Centers all-time, alongside Wilt. Same era, played head-to-head.

Lebron came into the league day 1 superior. Jokic been in the league almost 10 years and just started playing good ball 2 years ago. We see what some fans are trying to do with Jokic and its not happening. Hes gonna have to earn his respect over the years of being dominate. Not just 2 good seasons and 1 playoff run and championship.

Lebron is not great in all around game? He played defense for like 5-6 years…then just did highlights on d for the rest of his career FACTS bc there is literally lebron horrible on defense compilations….he’s not a great mid or 3pt shooter, he never was, he’s just been okay there….most of his games from 3 are horrible. His best game is driving to the rim and using his size. Legit if he played how Jokic played he would already have the goat title and prolly a ring for each finger on one hand. But he doesn’t bc he’s not as dominate as jokic has been, which is also proven statistically. Lebrons only claim to anything over anyone is his length of time playing at a consistent level, without a doubt. But the real dominate players are the ones who had a unstoppable 5-6 year run with titles and trophies inbetween. Lebron doesn’t have that part in his career, and naw, losing in the finals every year isn’t a good excuse either.

i mean... if your offensive impact is high enough to outweigh defense, then you can still be best overall... don't forget defense is like 20% of an nba game, it's all offense... there are no 2-0 games like in soccer, each team will score 100 nowadays ... and we have actual proof... despite how bad you think he is on defense, his box plus/minus is the highest in the league... meaning when he is on the floor his team outscores the opponent by the biggest margin in basketball, and that includes how much they give up so no.... he doesn't need anything CLOSE to DPOY to make that claim... he just needs the highest overall impact to make that claim... if you had a player who scored 100pts a game shooting 90% on 3s, you would never say he is not the best beause of his defense, right?.... so now we just need to find where that line is in reality where your contributions are enough

Jokic hasn’t fizzled out like Giannis has. Dude still can’t shoot, and still can’t hit free throws. He’s stagnant. Jokic improves every time he steps on the floor, and it’s measurable. Jokic isn’t getting enough respect, Giannis has gotten too much too soon off of one good playoff run.

Jokic was 2nd in rebounds the past 2 regular seasons, 2nd this post season, 13th all-time in playoff career rebound average with more than 50 games played, best rebounder in the playoffs of any current player. That IS ELITE my guy.
