I go to Columbia and all of these points are exactly right! I would say they apply to columbia as well, too, if to a lesser degree. Definitely the need to be independent in the city.
It's amazing to me that Craig has to remind people it's okay to have differing opinions. I understand exactly why he has to, but it's just stunning. My wife went to NYU. I need to show her this and see if she agrees. I think she will.
As an Alumni, it is not a traditional college experience. In terms of today I would say it os over rated and not for someone who is looking for a traditional college experience.
