I mean if you live in Paris already all you have to do is buy the tickets no hotels or airfare…..

What about the people who work for a living.

My friends have saved for the last 5 years to attend the Olympic games in Paris. They are So excited (and I am So jealous). While the tickets for the games and hotel costs are MUCH higher than they budgeted, they chose to stay with their plans to attend. Simply put, they love France (even Paris 😉) and putting money into local pockets - shops, dining establishments, local tour guides - was worth it to them. So, those commenting should remember that not every visitor will be rich and, rich or not, they are choosing not to keep their money in their home countries. I only hope their presence will be met with welcoming smiles. Peace. 🇫🇷

Totally agree. It should be a Greek event. That way, they could always use the same stadiums and infrastructures
