@@theprince8720 As a European myself, I can see that being true. As a culture that really don't care of what skin colour someone has, and don't focus on that unlike for example in USA. You can mix up someone's skin colour just like you can mix up someone's hair colour.

@@caydenleclairbartels142 As a hero main it seems like it happens most of the time, with the 45 angle being rarer. I know because I've been killed by reflected whacks more than I care to remember lol. Joker's reflector especially seems to send it back normally more often than not, I've never seen it go other directions.

4:16 In my defense, if Greninja's hurtbox wasn't so narrow, the phantom and the dair would hit simultaneously and combine to send diagonally down at a really stupid angle. But on narrow characters, only the windbox hits. I guess you could walk backwards slightly after pushing, but then the time starts to run out if your opponent mashes well.

@@blopblep1179 Thanks! Although I'm not actually that good at the game, and just happened to lab a cool shieldbreak punish with Zelda. (As they pointed out, f-smash would have killed too in this situation, as would forward air.)

Hey I know this comment is old but with slingshot you can actually jump backwards and have phantom in front of you (much easier than the other tech that does that, can’t remember the name).

6:43, if you are wondering why that didn’t instakill mewtwo, that is because Dedede’s reflector does not break and only stays at 1.5x the damage even if he reflected the inhaled projectile.

6:25 Dedede's inhale doesnt work like a normal reflector. It will increase a projectile's power, but this increase is only applied to to projectile's *base damage.* This is in contrast to most other reflectors that multiply the projectile's *current damage.* So technically, Mewtwo would increase the gordo's damage but King Dedede's inhale would return it back to the damage it would if it had only been inhaled. So in theory, King Dedede's inhale is the only "reflector" that can't break. As long as Dedede _can_ inhale it he will _always_ be able to inhale it.

That wasn’t VR mode. Correct me if I’m wrong, but that is a camera feature where you can move the switch around as if it was an actual camera. You activate it by pressing the joystick on the left joycon in the pause menu.

9:12 Something similar happened to me when I was playing with my brother. I was Banjo, and he was Greninja. I did Down Air, he countered, but then he flew off the side of the stage because Banjo crouches down after using down air.

In the villager ditto, lloid exploded like that bcz it was riding on the ledge and when the bowling ball hit cause the strong explosion to active and that's why the villager on ledge died.

That dedede clip at 6:30 The reason why it went through Mewtwo reflect is because Gordo is unique in that it has a limit on the number of times it can be reflected. Once that limit has been reached it will pierce reflects even if the damage it deals does not exceed the reflect's damage cap. It probably works this way because Gordo has a unique way that it calculates damage that reflectors can't modify. Unrelated fun fact: Dedede's inhale is the only reflecting move in the game that doesn't have a damage cap before moves pierce through it.

a few villager things you might not have noticed.... the parry > counter might have only worked because of the woodchip. If you noticed both times, the woodchip came out, so you might have parried the woodchip then countered the tree (although this wouldn't explain arsene not doing reflector) also with lloid, if you destroy it with a projectile then it has the same explosion hitbox as if it would hit a wall!

Revisiting this video after using parry-counter in other scenarios. This isn't limited to projectiles. Not only can you parry-counter several multi-hit moves, depending on the window between hits, but you can also parry-counter lingering hitboxes (which is what happened to the tree). For instance, you can parry-counter a (slightly stale) pikachu fsmash, parrying the first hit and countering the lingering hitbox. Of course, you can always parry into a fast move (shoto tilts are especially good), but Incineroar could also get a lot out of this tech, since revenge is frame 3 and he gets so much reward off of it. A special thank you to Mii Swordfighter's (Dovahkiin's) counter for being an interesting move, it motivated me to research to find any semblance of viability.

The science behind that villager clip is a known tech called loid counter. Basically if anyone does a 12%+ to loid it deals more damage and knockback then normal explosion.

The gordow didn't hit as hard as you thought because King Dedede's SUCC doesn't reflect. King Dedede's Inhale, just like King K. Rools down b I believe, instead just sends it back and resets the projectile's damage, the damage doesn't get higher and higher. That's why he could send it back so many times since it doesn't break, like a reflector would.

1:38 I tested this out when Hero First came out, actually. It's an issue with the path that Whack travels. Because it rotates as it moves, all reflectors, not just Zelda's can send it at a bizarre angle if reflected just right.

I think when the lloyd rocket explodes, if it was hit before it absorbs the knockback of what hit is before and the bowling ball hit it before and that’s why the knockback was so high.

For the parry to counter thing, it isn't what happen. Shulk parry the tree then he counters the little branch thingy that sometimes pop off out of the tree. It's a Villager specific thing.

Yo apparently you can have the freezy freeze item, catch it right when it hits someone and it’ll freeze them and you’ll still catch it. If you hit them with it again after they unfreeze it won’t freeze them again, will just launch. I did this in training mode in between quick play matches so I couldn’t record it but it’s pretty neat. I threw it up and then up through the cpu, waited a sec and did up air with pit, CPU froze but I still caught the item, threw it after he broke free and it just launched him

Villager died at 4:02 because he hit lloid with a strong attack. This increases the amount of damage and knockback lloid will do iirc. It's called lloid counter.

You're a moron. A typical projectile is one like Mario's fireball; it has travel time and can be reflected. Joker's gun has a long hitbox that instantly appears and cannot be reflected. And then there's Byleth who gets a weird in-between of those where the hitbox both instantly appears and can be reflected
