Yes the timers can definitely get stressful. I got used to them but I know not everybody will hehe 😅

Don't worry too much, not all minigames have timer, for example fishing and alchemy don't have time limit. If you don't like minigames with timers you can just ignore them, because most of minigames is a little work in city to make some extra money. The only minigame with timer that you need to complete is observation of your patients, it is a reaction game, but it is really slow and you can make few mistakes and still get perfect observation. If you dont want it you can just sell potions for extra money. Also, all minigames are pretty slow, so you wouldn't have problems with them. Usually you have enough extra time to don't worry about time at all, just play minigames and dont think about how much time left too much.

@@tolikkazan9889 it really depends on one's reflexes and anxiety levels. Mini games cannot be ignored. If you are not completing your patient quests, you are missing out on the entirety of the game.

I thought the same thing!! I've been playing it the past week and honestly its very simple and they don't make it too fast. I'd say try it! It took me like 2 days to adjust but so glad to have given it the opportunity.

I wonder if the mini games are similar in difficulty to those in Spiritfarer? Those didn’t bother me at all, but I could see how some might be put off by that. Looks like a wish list add for sure!

To me the Spiritfarer ones were easier. These are pretty fast and if you miss them, they will get you a bad reputation in town. But they're not impossible. It will only be issue for people with bad reflexes (illnesses). Thank you for watching

I didn't think the mini games was fast. Overall my only grip was It seemed too easy when I played the demo but I liked the puzzle to get the potions. I think I'll wait for a sale because its very simple

One thing I would like to know is about the different version costs. On the Nintendo store you can just buy the regular digital game for 19.99, then the deluxe which comes with dlc for 24.99 (which I do understand, bc of the dlc), but then the physical copy is 39.99 😱. I can’t found out if the physical copy allows you to get the dlc, bc if it doesn’t that a $20 difference that just doesn’t make sense. I want the physical copy but if it’s a better deal to get the deluxe 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Ouf I am not sure at all about the pricing. My guess, take it with a grain of salt, the physical version would be with a company like Limited Run Games which is usually expensive. As for the DLC and such, I have no info from the devs about it. Hope you get your answers soon

Something I don't really like is how easily you can befriend everyone. The town feels lively until you realize there aren't any festivals or special events or seasons even, which aren't really necessary but add a ton of stuff to work towards. Also, everything is solved immediately, a single potion after the easiest minigame there is in the game, it solves evertyhing. The game is a bit buggy, I'm stuck on an impossible quest that I already completed yet it tells me I haven't. If you didn't know, quest potions can only be crafted once, so I'm stuck having Victor with the quest symbol on his head. Also, when you want to give Matheo the Moon Brooch, you're taken ALL THE WAY TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MAP to watch Leano's reaction for some reason. I don't really like either that there aren't any dungeons, so once you've explored a map, say, the frozen region, that's all you get. Also, the dialogue IS indeed repetitive, but character quests and the little snippets you get sometimes make up for it. You can, however, get FIVE at a time, as I did the last time I completed a bunch of stuff in a single day lol Other than that, THIS GAME IS SUPER FUN. I've been playing nonstop every single time I can. I'd recommend it, but I wouldn't compare it to the giant that is Stardew Valley... Yet.

As I mentioned, I loved it because it was linear and straightforward which is what I need as I tackle new challenges in life. So I get that it won't be for everyone. I'm glad you still found joy in it

I love the art style and the gameplay! It reminds me of the Atelier games so I was really looking forward to it. I think this game is perfect for me. Unfortunately I’ve been playing a lot of games with lag and crashes back to back so I’m a little disappointed this one has those 😢 i might wait for a bug fix then get it at a later date

Yeah the bug I was facing was pretty annoying, especially if it happens after a long in-game day of grinding and everything is just gone. I'm sure the devs will fix it tho

i have been looking for more casual games to play. it does come out in time for my birthday and around payday so i will be picking this game up on day 1. i am a big stardew fan but i see difference easily. if you or anyone in the community has other recommendations i am always open to suggestions for other casual games similar to this. thanks for the great review.

1. Bear&Breakfast (management sim that’s super chill with no deadlines) 2. Spiritfarer 3. Ooblets (similar to pokemon style gameplay but with farming and cute dance off) 4. Slime Rancher 5. Cozy Groove 6. Graveyard Keeper (a more dark humor type of management sim) And finally, For a farming + RPG type of game that has dating and marriages, I’d definitely recommend Rune Factory series, especially Rune Factory 4S! I’d say it’s the most similar to Stardew Valley but with more RPG elements to it.

I stopped playing Potion Permit because for some reason, the diagnostic mini game was malfunctioning. So I would hit the right button, but it would show as a miss no matter what. I really loved playing the game before I ran into this glitch. Has anyone else experienced it??

@@MissBubbles yea i was a little bummed out at first bc farming is one of my favorite relaxing things to do in these kind of sims, but im still really enjoying this. The tetris style potion crafting is addictive and i love having to get on everyone's good side. This kinda feels a bit like graveyard keeper more than stardew for me which is fine bc graveyard keeper is amazing. Cheers and thanks!

There is no marriage in Potion Permit, it's more about exploring the different stories these characters have. Some NPCs can be romanced but not proposed to

Saying patterns out loud helps me too heh Is fishing really hard? I hate that a lot of cozy games have really hard fishing mini games. I have nerve damage that affects my wrists so like cannot fish on SDV at all. It's definitely on my list to grab soon, possibly next week but we'll see how funds look with soooo many cozy games out I want lol

I know a lot of people like pixel art graphics and it takes considerable artistic talent to create them. Unfortunately the style is just not for me, it just looks dated to my eyes. Probably just me though, it's clearly still popular. Stardew is the only pixel art game I have and while I love it I still wish it could be remade in 3D. Great review as always 😊
