AL “abhar” (putting the pronunciations in Arabic) is in fact the same as (it’s also called) AL “wateen” so they mean the same thing they both mean the aorta it’s also found in the Arabic dictionary. @Richard Peter Yes and honestly if only Sam and the rest of the people of the book actually read the Entire Quran with a sound heart especially Surah Al Haqqa, Surah Fath and 5:3(this verse was revealed shortly before the Prophet PBUH passed away and was one of the last verses to be revealed), that would be better for them. The word used in 69:46 is al wateen that Sam calls the Aorta but points to his Jugular. If you ask any Arab medical doctor, they refer to the jugular vein that comes from the head and Allah also talks about being as close to us as our jugular vein in Surah 50:16. So Sam is right when he points to his jugular vein in the video but says Aorta. Innately he knows the truth but his heart doesn’t want to believe it :(. So to explain this verse and the Hadith , Allah warns the Prophet PBUH in Surah Al Haqqa and if you know when and how this Surah and specifically this verse was sent you will see that a Jewish man who was eavesdropping on the Prophet PBUH ended up accepting Islam! Was it a direct warning to the Prophet PBUH or was it to guide us especially the eavesdropping Jewish man? Allah knows best :) But let’s clarify this confusion Sam and friends have. So Al Wateen comes from the root word “Watan” which means “to give”. The Jugular Vein perpetually gives deoxygenated blood to the heart and in the heart that blood is oxygenated and sent to the body and back to the head. We know Allah says he is closer to us than our Jugular Vein, we also know Allah gives you and I guidance because otherwise we would be spiritually dead. And guidance is given to the heart! Don’t just read scripture with your physical eyes but use the spirit of your eyes to see what Allah is saying. Cutting the vein that takes deoxygenated blood to get oxygenated not only kills a person in the physical state but if the spiritual guidance is cut off then we would be worse than physically dead. God forbid if Prophet Muhammad made up or lied about Allahs word then Allah warns about seizing him and noone could do anything to stop it. Ofcourse we all believe that God of Abraham knows what is to come and what will happen before it happens. If you look into history after the poisoning incident at Khaybar you will know the poison was so strong that the companion who ate it was crippled and died within a year. The Prophet PBUH lived after this incident and God revealed scripture to him during that time. Don’t limit God by thinking he doesn’t know but in fact he knows what you and I don’t know. Now let’s check out the word mentioned in the Hadith called Abhoori. Yes now that is the actual Aorta in Arabic so basically the vessel that takes oxygenated blood to the rest of the body and head. Now if you go to an Arab medical professional and say oh! Al Wateen (jugular vein that takes deoxygenated blood to the heart) is the same as the Aorta (that takes oxygenated blood to the body) he/she would correct you. So in conclusion you already believe Prophet Muhammad in the messenger of Allah but according to your interpretation of the Hadith you feel that he lied and changed the words of Allah. 69:44-47 Had he (the prophet) forged some statements in Our name. We would have certainly seized him by the right hand. and then severed his life-artery. and none of you could have saved him from it. Bukhari 4428 The Prophet (ﷺ) in his ailment in which he died, used to say, "O `Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison." 53: 1-5 “By the star when it goes down (or vanishes). Your companion (Muhammad) has neither gone astray nor has erred. Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. It is only a Revelation revealed. He has been taught (this Qur’aan) by one mighty in power [Jibreel (Gabriel)]” 1. Holy Quran 69:44-47 is a conditional statement that requires a specific action of "Forging of Statements (Verses of Holy Quran)" to happen by Muhammad PBUH to execute the consequent cutting of the aorta. However, the same Holy Quran in Surah 53:1-5 confirms the innocence of Muhammad PBUH regarding His PBUH conduct as Messenger. So, Holy Quran itself says that Muhammad PBUH did not forge any statement, that implies, no need to worry about aorta cutting. If God is Witness for your innocence, then no conditional statement or criticism carries any worth. So, the complete narrative of Holy Quran is in favor of innocence of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. 2. The Arabic language is a rich language that has words for specific details that in other languages maybe generalized to one word that holds multiple meanings. So in the Quran verse it specifies a specific type of artery while in the Hadith it mentions something else. So to translate to English you can only use what is available

Al-Wateen: the vein in the heart, which if were cut off the person would die.

You can check the verses of the Quran again that Sam Shamoun was referring to. One of the conditions that need to be fulfilled in order to prove if Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was lying includes having his right hand seized by Allah first before the cutting of the aorta begins. In the Hadith, nothing happened to his right hand when he was on his deathbed. In other words, he was truthful, not a liar.
@CPLAZ His right hand would need to be seized by Allah first, as what the 45th verse of the *_QS. Al-Haqqah (69)_* has already mentioned. And only then, the cutting of the _al-wateen_ could begin. The seizing of his right hand didn't happen in the Hadith, and thus the conditions weren't met, which proves he was truthful. Another point to add is that the root of the Arabic word _al-wateen_ used in the 46th verse is _watan_ (to give). It is the same word used by the Quran in another chapter to refer to the jugular vein (which carries deoxygenated blood from the brain, skull, face, and neck area into the heart) and it is obvious Sam Shamoun actually knows this since he is shown pointing at his neck in the video. That's the job for the jugular vein, *not* the aorta. What the aorta actually does is to carry deoxygenated blood from the heart into the rest of our bodyparts. And thus the Arabic word used for the aorta in the Hadith is _abhoori,_ *not* _al-wateen._ In order to prove if The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was a liar, his right hand needs to be seized first, and then his _al-wateen_ (the jugular vein that carries deoxygenated blood from the head into the heart through the neck as Sam Shamoun demonstrated) would then be cut. The fact that he said _abhoori_ in the Hadith means he was *not* referring to _al-wateen_ the jugular vein, but the aorta that carries deoxygenated blood from the heart into the rest of the bodyparts. The required conditions weren't met, and thus proves he was truthful. Last thing to add, there's the word "as if" in his line.

Isn't it crazy how the poison he consumed many years ago was the thing that killed him (it wasn't). Poison is generally fast acting and kills people in a matter of hours or days, not over a matter of years. It may have had some effect on him or weakened him, but it was not the cause of his death. According to Islam, the Prophet (S) put a morsel of the poisoned meat into his mouth and then Angel Gabriel told him it was poisoned. He spit it out and told his companions not to eat it. One of the Muslims had already eaten some and died immediately (again, not over the course of a few years, but within minutes). But yes, I'm sure the Jews' master plan was feeding the Prophet (S) poisoned meat that would kill him over a period of almost 10 years, but that same poison would kill one of his companions immediately. @@nyemah71557 He was not. The term "cut my aorta (abhar)" was a common Arabic idiom which signifies passing away/dying. The verse relating to the cutting of the aorta indicates a swift action, that if he were to lie about what was revealed, he would die immediately for it. It makes little sense for God Almighty to allow the Prophet Muhammad (S) (who supposedly lied about God) to live for another 23 years (and continue to supposedly lie) before finally "killing him" of fever. It speaks volumes that the greatest argument a Christian has against the Prophet (S) is that he died multiple years after he ate the poison (instead of dying immediately like his companion who ate the same poison had), and moreover, of fever, at an old age.

Also, the Ayaa says that his aorta would be severed. In the hadith, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, says it FEELS like it’s being cut off. It wasn’t actually cut. On top of that, this guy tries to claim taht the Quran itself says Prophet Muhammad is a false prophet, astaghfirullah. But to use this argument means that one would have to believe the Quran truly is the word of God. Whether or not they reject our Prophet, they still end up accepting Islam is the true religion lol

The idiom here is “pain as if my aorta was being cut off” It expresses an unbearable condition of pain or discomfort. Your argument is that different words are used in the Arabic for aorta. That’s fine. My argument is that the word difference doesn’t make a difference to the idiom. Whether you say the upper or lower part of the aorta is being cut doesn’t mean you mean different things after all. One part of the aorta doesn’t make one more unbearable than the other. The meaning remains the same whichever you use.
As a christian who speaks arabic since birth, I researched this and dug deeper where I found, that الوتين is the main artery, which is the aorta. On the other hand, الابهر, in arabic usually mentioned as الابهرين, are the two veins that carry the blood to the right atrium of the heart. Even though he sounds weird and unclear in his statement, what that guy said was wrong, they actually aren't the same.
According to the Intermediate arabic dictionary (2/ 1010) المعجم الوسيط : the words (وتين) and (أبهر)aren't the same , (وتين) is the main artery of the human body ,which is nourishes the body with clear blood coming from the heart, the word (أبهر) simply means vien a regular vien

The word (ابهر)in Arabic references a part in the upper back but the vein of(ابهر)in Arabic references the aorta in the heart The prophet Muhammad Sayed that he feels pain in his upper back or in his (ابهر) but he didn't say that he feels pain in his Aorta or the vein of(ابهر)

Surah Haqqah v 44-47 Had he ( the prophet) forged some statements in Our name. We would have certainly seized him by the right hand. And then severed his life-artery. And none of you could have saved him from it. Sahih Bukhari 4428 The prophet (pbuh) in his ailment in which he died used to say, “O Aisha! Wateen is always Aorta but ahbar doesn’t always mean aorta. Plus the phrase used by the prophet “my ahbar is being cut” was a common figure of speech meaning death in any form. So the prophet was saying : I feel as if I am dying from that poison, doesn’t mean his aorta was actually cut off The verse in the Quran starts with “had he” which is past tense condition statement. It’s only used for hypothetical statements. If it was a swift punishment he would have died instant death, it would not be delayed until all the message had been completely delivered. Allah has revealed the Quran and He will protect it ( 15:9)

Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani in volume 2, page 653 of his Talkhees al-Hubayr declared it mursal jayyid) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The companion obviously did not mean it to be literal, since he was still alive! It's clear that he said it metaphorically, in order to express his emotional pain and sadness. Hence, the phrase "cut his aorta" isn't necessarily literal. However, he lived - peace be upon him - for years while being in a condition as he was before eating (the sheep with the poison) and behaved like how he used to before. The Jews did not kill him with her action just as she killed the others and Allah All-Mighty was good in His action towards him (i.e. the Prophet) as usual. Actually brother, you have misunderstood. You see, yes the translation is of two different words, but yes, the meaning is basically the SAME. So does Shamoun have a point? No he doesn't. The reason is that both the ayah and the hadeeth are metaphors for death. But the difference is in time. I.e. many years between the two. One, the ayah, is from an early surah and the hadeeth that uses the similar metaphor (but a different word) for death is towards the end of the prophet's life and only when his mission has been completed. AND there are corroborative texts that prove that he DID convey his full mission and that he did NOT embellish or falsify anything in it. So, in sum, one text speaks of immediate death if he betrayed the trust. The other text is years later when the mission is complete and speaks of death. Only the first mentions an immediacy, which is clear in the syntactical structure. Obviously that did NOT happen as years passed in the mission and he was targeted by his enemies yet he lived صلى الله عليه وسلم up until his mission was complete, which was also foretold in the Quran. At any rate, insincere people like Shamoun simply wish to misguide people. And it is incongruent that he puts so much trust in a text when it suits him, else disbelieves in it. Two words which are used in quran and Hadith are different I.e “wateen” in Quran and “ahbar” in the Hadith. Wateen is always Aorta but ahbar doesn’t always mean aorta. Plus the phrase used by the prophet “my ahbar is being cut” was a common figure of speech meaning death in any form. So the prophet was saying : I feel as if I am dying from that poison, doesn’t mean his aorta was actually cut off

What is not prophet like about prophet Muhammad. No sex outside of marriage? No alcohol? No pig meat? Be good to your parents? Be good and help your neighbors the close and the far? Give charity zakat and sadaka? Not being drunk? Respect and defending jesus as a prophet and a messiah and defend his virgin mother and respect her? Believe in all the previous prophets? I noticed no other religion can’t find any contradiction in the Quran until the mention Hadiths which was produce by Allah or the prophet. The Quran is enough alone .

Arabic has more terms for the same words to explain the intricacies involved. 3. Sure, so if you don't know Arabic, then why do you bother arguing when you clearly have no basis to do so? Leave it to the Christians who actually know Arabic (though all those cowards will run away lol) 4. The idiom "cut my aorta (abhar)" was a common one in Arabia at the time which signified dying. The verse talking about the cutting of the aorta indicates something (relatively) immediate. Why would God Almighty allow a supposed liar to continue to preach for 23 years, change a polytheistic Arabic to the monotheistic worship of the God of Abraham, and then (conveniently) kill him 23 years AFTER he began "lying" from fever? There was a companion of the Prophet (S) who ate the same poisoned meat that the Prophet (S) put in his mouth. That companion died immediately. The Prophet (S) lived for a good number of years after that incident, though it may have weakened him a bit as he grew older.

There is literally no medical term or body part in Arabic that cannot be translated in to English 100% accurately. So if there is a problem with the English translation of a medical term, it means the Koranic scholars are misleading English speaking Muslims because they had every option to put in the correct term and chose not to. Why would God allow a preacher to preach for 23 years and convert polytheists to a monotheistic religion and then conveniently kill him for lying from fever? Who knows. God has allowed a lot of political figures throughout history to proclaim themselves to be divine and change religious customs in those areas. We do know that God holds the words of people against them. He is constantly telling us to guard our tongues and the Law of Moses tells us not to bear false witness but at the same time God doesn't just instantly strike people down who do bear false witness, otherwise we would all be dead because sin is our nature and we all tell lies on occasion and many people tell lies about their relationship with God out of good intentions. There are a lot of false Abrahamic faiths still in existence today such as Gnosticism, Mormonism. The longevity or even the triumph of one faith over another isn't proof of its validity. The religion of Baal triumphed over the ancient Jewish faiths for quite a long time. Then the Roman polytheism triumphed over the Christians for centuries. So why did God allow one religious group claiming to be Abrahamic to triumph over another? It actually doesn't take any special reason but maybe God has one in mind. Its not like God just immediately stamps things out if people start saying things that are untrue about Him. But we do know that He holds people to account for the words they speak. A lot of Chinese emperors would proclaim themselves to be God so that their laws and decrees were imbued with a kind of divine quality. Obviously in Arabia in that time period the option of proclaiming yourself to be God in order to gain political power was a death sentence so it would be convenient for Muhammad to choose the next best thing and proclaim himself to be a messenger of God, a political tactic that turned out to be far more effective in the circumstance in which he lived. If he could convince people of this, which he did, then his decrees immediately became imbued with a kind of divine quality, he could keep his subjects preoccupied with religious ritual instead of forming rebellions against him and he could get his subjects to martyr themselves for his political advancement in battle thinking they were going to heaven. But if he was going to advance his own political agenda, the religion he would have to create would have to be similar enough to the existing religious powers such that he could convince people to accept it, and yet at the same time be completely unique to him so that his own power could be advanced. He achieved that, and to that end I think he was a great man worthy of great respect for what he accomplished. But I don't think he was a real prophet. I think he was a great king who used religion as a means to power.

His companion died on the spot. He lived 3 years after that and did not die even went to battle in those 3 years. When the verse clearly states instant death for such a crime. Many other biblical prophets were poisoned or killed. Does that make them false prophets? Does it? Prophetic martyrdom is a thing. END QUOTE He is talking about the wound that the Jewess gave him by the poison as the direct cause of his death. A prolonged and painful one but still the cause of his death. But he is talking about it in exactly the terms that his own words said would prove him a false prophet. That's the irony I am talking to. We know exactly how dying felt to him because he told us and the way he described it matched his previous descriptions.

Since to me the point of contention you yourself have is not a point of contention that I myself have. Furthermore He didn’t die of the poison He died naturally but to give an idea he uttered what he uttered since the whole phrase is an old Arabic saying. It’s not meant to be literal. It was “as if” the level of pain the poison gave him initially(but then saved by Allah) came back at the same level when he was about to pass away. Not to mention the difference of the actual words Al wateen and Al wahab Let’s assume that he did die from the poison. If he pbuh were to be a liar he would die on the spot as scripture would suggest but he did not but his companion in fact did. Medically speaking that is not possible. Let’s still say he did die from the poison. What does it change? The miracle is he was kept from death by Allah and given death in the form of martyrdom when the time came. Martyrdom is the highest rank of death. Is it a shock to anyone that a prophet would die at the hands of a joo? It is not. Your Theology is centered around this same fact as well not to mention many of the other Old Testament prophets. This is nothing new. All the disciples of Christ died as martyrs Many of the primary companions of the Prophet pbuh died of martyrdom. This is dishonest behaviour to the point that you’re just looking for a fault.
