Is Raiden Still A GOD in Mortal Kombat 1? 🤔

The amulet is the exact same amulet that the og raiden was given liu kang brought back the amulet because he even said that the elder gods made it which ovi would not make sense for the elder gods to make several of these amulets and it was also proven that liu kang when he got the amulet he put raidens powers into the amulet which is the reason why liu kang does not have the lighting anymore and the blue fire is just a sign of him being the god of fire and the protector of earth realm which makes sense because in past mortal kombat the color blue was an indication of the protector of earthrealm

He only keeps time, he can't control anyone or their abilities. Someone commented on another video something very true, if the keeper of time could control people then Kronika could've just killed Raiden in MK11 and been done with him. But the keepers of time can only control and reset time, but all the characters have their own free will

I'm not sure about that. Obviously we know that Any of them could've reset the time line, didn't need god powers for that. But then we saw liu in this new past with the ancestor kung Lao, and he still had the same appearance as the dual fire/thunder god. Maybe he gives it up, or loses it when 'raiden' is (re)born? We still don't fully know all the changes liu enacted, and I'm really looking forward to seeing everything that's changed.

@@juliantapia1407 Lui Kang was the new moulder of time who made a peaceful world and stepped down. He wanted to see the world make itself instead. Everyone kept what they had because it had always occured in timelines. He didnt want to tamper with anything and seeing as DC and mortal kombat co exist, its the only explanation. No theories needed as lui kang introduced himself to the new kung lao and raiden because he'd only just stepped down at that point. Same with kenshi going blind from reading the book of knowledge, in the new game it might be something different but ut was confirmed we'd be told the new story. The only reason titans dont dictate anymore is because lui kang and raiden merged to destroy kronika, scorpion had the potential to kill another titan. Instead of opposing, scorpion and sub zero still have their powers but are now 'brotherly'.

@@juliantapia1407 when Shang Tsung won, he absorbed fire god lui kang with raiden merged but made a new timeline where he was an elder god and raiden and fujin still exist. Due to Shang wanting to always win, he wouldve killed lui kang in every timeline to assure no threat to himself. Thus meaning characters always keep everything

People argued over which ending was canon in aftermath, what if they were both canon. Shang tsung invades liu kangs timeline for more power and they fight

Yea but I think Liu Kang was born with those powers. I thought raiden got his powers from the gods. I could be wrong tho

To me, Kitana taught him how to unlock and use his fire elemental. After all, traveling to a foreign realm and meeting the inhabitants who practice magic could have a consequence. What a coincidence. Onaga was the ruler of Outworld and he gave Shujinko powers to copy any fighting style, Johnny Cage got his powers while fighting Shinnok and Kenshi got telekinesis by fighting Ermac using Sento. Although Liu Kang had fire powers before he met Kitana, maybe he did not learn how to master his Chi as yet because being a Shaolin monk takes years or more to master the various styles and traditions, if you know what I mean.

Yes and no it's a continuation of mk11 Aftermath DLC possible theory that Shang Tsung mk11 timeline is actually Liu Kang in disguise because the reveal trailer showed Liu Kang looking a lot different with his attitude and tone

And if you think about it I'm pretty sure Liu Kang deleted Shang Tsung so why does the new timeline have a the current timeline Shang Tsung

@@M-420 assuming he learned it then because when you think about it lightning is just a element like any other power in the universe. There’s also mortals with fire elements and centrion having fire while also being an elder god

@@M-420 no raiden sacrificed his God hood to create Liu Kang the fire God Liu had the lightning only because raiden was attached to his soul. the lightning was inherent to raiden just how Liu was using fire before his ascension firegod
