Is Ramattra good or bad? Overwatch 2 

I think Ramattra’s one of the only heroes who looked overpowered in the trailers and ended up actually being underpowered

Ramattra seems to have a very focused kit. He runs up and smashes faces and his abilities make that as efficient as they can. Completely understand what Andrew means by the ult not feeling like a unique ability. Not a bad thing, though. I can't wait to punch everyone.

Sure visually or conceptually the Ram ult may not feel like an ability you charged and saved, but the point you make about it staying up indefinitely while contesting points is to me what makes this ult feel unique. Its absolutely the inverse of Zen's ult but it doesn't run out until you no longer need it (when the enemies are dead) or off the point.

His ultimate is literally just a "final phase" of a boss battle, and it needs nothing more

For the people thinking Rammatra's ult is intimidating, it's really not. It can't go through shields, meaning that it can easily be shut down. So basically, when he uses his ult, jump onto him as Winston and put a bubble around him. Dance in and out of the bubble to keep him focused on you. It's like capturing a firefly into a jar and sealing it.

I kinda like the idea of Zen and Ram being like light and darkness ( ☯️ ) not just in the lore but also ability-wise. Or rather ultimate-wise. Your video made me a tiny bit less anxious about him being broken but I'm still nervous. More importantly though, how is the new map???

I was thinking he was gonna be overpowered, but he is a lot more vulnerable than I thought Edit: I’ve never had a comment get this many likes before, WOW!

My first match as ramatra was somewhat disappointing at first but the last push was awesome. The fact that your ultimate doesn't run out as long as enemies are nearby feels amazing, especially if you do a team kill with it. You do depend on support of course as you have to be in constant close range.

I think they could fix it by making the punches have a different animation or more damage then cut down the amount of time he gets on his ult for individual targets and make it more of a group fighting ultimate

I think it'd be cool if Ram's ult could absorb the shields off of Reinhardt, Sigma, and Brigitte. Definitely gives him the "Your technology is on my side."

I see a lot of people trying to support ramatra with Ana. I am a huge Ana fan but I think other heroes just help him so much more. That is something I'd love to read a discussion about. My opinion so far I think many players don't know that damage reduction is capped at 50%. Now ramatra is the only exception to it when he starts hugging himself. I haven't tested it, but I don't think his 75% dmg reduction and Ana's 50% dmg reduction combine to 87.5% dmg reduction. Of course ramatra can be more aggressive with nano, but his biggest weakness is his ult duration condition. Especially a nanoed ramatra would even scare a lot of people intuitively away, so he runs out of ult time. summarized opinion Ana + ramatra For attack: is okay but ramatra benefits more from speed. For defense: useless if dmg reduction won't stack. (note I haven't tested it, but dmg reduction used to be capped at 50%)

Remattra is underpowered overall, but his ultimate is pretty OP if you use it right. Use it when the enemy has shutdown abilities and it's useless but if they waste those you can easily team wipe. I feel like if he had something to deal with CC he'd be so much better overall. However Orisa, Doom, and Hog just delete him. He's also pretty squishy and can be easily countered by Widow and Hanzo. Sleep and anti-nade shuts him down.

Ramatra looks so much fun to play I am in love with the tempo tank concept as a tank main I am pleased

the melee focused face punches are giving me cracked doomfist with a buff zen look.

I think the pull down should be activatable at any time like orisa's old pull. And wherever you activate it pulls all the way to the ground, with a little leway above it.

I think that when he uses his ult or just nemesis form in general he should get a small speed boost

I think it'd be sweet if his ult healed him a little bit, not even a substantial amount, but as a concept it just sounds cool

I wonder how Rammatra would be if his primary was a hitscan, maybe that could be the buff to make him on par with other tanks? Honestly, stuff like this makes me wish Overwatch had some sort of weapon customization system, as having hitscan Rematra with a OW1 Bastion esque self-heal instead of the shield would be fun to play with. Especially in deathmatch.

The fact that the block damage reducer is inferior than Doom's block but when Doom use it he instantly get deleted because of lower health pool

I’m slightly conflicted with Ramattra’s design but DAMN, I am so excited to see what they do with his skins!

Clip: We all want to see you use the vortex to yank a pharah mercy combo down and pummel them. Which I say as a pharah player xD I know it'll be hard because the vert. range is unimpressive but I believe in you lol

I know this will be extremely hard, but maybe you could try and pull an enemy down into the hole (or any other edge) and kill them with the down effect

Depending on what the game considers the punch shockwaves as, baptiste window might be perfect for this character!!!

I think that blizzard nerfed Ramatra pretty good after all the critics on him being pay to win. But now he only feels lika a pay to lose. I think that Ramatra and junker queen is the only heroes so far that haven't been released completely broken.

Like you said, Ramattra’s Ult works really well with speed boost. I was playing with my friends and one of them was Ramattra and I was Lucio. When he popped his old, I speed boosted him into the enemy team and we got a team kill.

As a zenyata main I’m going to have nightmares about his slowing ability

ramattra and mei have been popping up a lot whenever I play ow and I can see why. Mei's primary fire slows enemies down like Ramattra's vortex, and helps Ramattra to catch up to enemies since he is better in close-range. Mei's wall can block off certain chokes and escape points, and Ramattra's vortex prevents certain characters from climbing Mei's wall to escape. Their ults can be used together to completely wipe the enemy team (if the mei manages to aim her ult right). Their synergy is insane and I think you might wanna try out this combo.

I love those like..angular Jaw/Mouth designs for robots, Ultron(Comics and the cartoon not the movies) and Matt have it too lol

I think you forget to mention that since the ult forces you into nemesis form, it means that you are in nemesis form indefinitely as long as enemies are around. In a sense it's kinda like Soujurn with her ult where her alt fire is just boosted up to shoot (somewhat) continuously. In the case of Ramattra, his ult is less "dmg aoe", more "unlimited nemesis form"

I use him more as sniper tank to get the best results out of remmatra, I spam shield front of me then use his staff until the shield gone, I head back in cover for 10 seconds for the cooldown then put shield up again then using staff again then repeat over and over 11000 damage I pulled doing that

Im calling it now, his ultimate is going to get nerfed and his vortex thing is going to get a buff with height increase to be able to pull pharah and echo from the sky

I have a good idea for the funny clips you want to collect, doom fist ult, but with Ramattra, basiclly a nano boost, then you in fist for, you fall from a ledge above a player and boop them on the head with a punch. I hope it makes sense.
