_”I’ve also had situations where I’ve told crew/producers directly that there’s some things that I’m not comfortable with speaking about - and they’ve had someone come up to me and speak to me about exactly what I said I don’t want to talk about.”_ .. that’s EXACTLY what Tamar Braxton said (former WeTV cast member) and no one believed her. People swore she was making it up that she was blindsided.
No offense to your comment or Ayana, but telling them that is also like giving them ammo! Why tell them you have an issue so they can put yall in the same place... that's giving them the recipe for disaster! You may have good intentions..... but really?
@@M5CAP1TAL True! But honestly.. sometimes producers just find out things 🤷🏽♀️ For example: I know in Tamar’s case, one of her sisters mentioned her secret trauma to someone else, and Iyanla (who made an appearance on their show) repeated it in front of everyone. I’m guessing that’s how it happens with others as well. Got to be real careful being on TV.
I feel like reality tv has to be taken with a grain of salt….it’s entertainment…nothing more, nothing less. People take reality tv (the viewers) more serious than what it is.
I’ve actually witnessed producers telling someone exactly what to say. A cast-member’s makeup artist uploaded a video of themselves on set, and I heard a producer say “I need them to say xyz, and act like she’s nervous”. It actually shocked me because I knew about sound bites.. but didn’t know it was sometimes even scripted.
I worked at a strip club in Atlanta where they filmed some scenes from love and hip hop. Stevie J and Benzino were throwing ones at girls with bright lights on them. It was about 3 pm in the afternoon. But it was set up like it was night time…. Pretty interesting stuff
You are not lying when I was at downtown Atlanta ,Mama Dee and her husband was in a pizza place .they did that scene numerous of times, then when they left . I went inside to converse with my friend Vanessa that was working there at the time. OMG I was FLABBERGASTED how they left the place, it was wreck and then they didn't want to pay the restaurant that much.
Lmfaooooo. Everything you’ve said is soo true. Since being a talent on a reality TV show you definitely watch reality shows differently Afterwards. You can see when the scene was a remake etc. the green screen takes hours and hours to do. It’s so much that goes into filming. I was a talent and mua on set and I’m telling you. I didn’t wear makeup for over two years after filming. To this day I hardly ever do my makeup 😂. Everyone begs me to do RU-vid for my cooking , my makeup , nails , hair extensions and I refuse because I don’t want to be popular ! Everyone one wishes they could do something in the industry but , it’s when you truly get the opportunity that you realize it’s really not what you want lol.
Ayana ❤ your content is so refreshing. I'm glad you're doing your own thing and not following the trend and the rest of the bs. To much of the same shit going on we needed something new.. Keep it up
This was a intriguing POV when it comes to reality & tv! It’s great to know you have a balance and great headspace to deal with that! Reality tv isn’t meant for everyone
Hey Girly, Thanks for sharing your honesty on reality tv. Some the same things you have expressed i have definitely heard before. I remember way back when Nene Leaks from RHOA talked about it on one of the reunions.
Ayana, you just popped up on my feed one day and I don’t know how or why because I mostly watch investment videos. I’m like, who in the heck IS this little baby-faced girl and did the algorithms send this to ME???? lol Now I’m hooked on your storytelling videos and you’re very intelligent and entertaining. I had no idea that you were on reality tv since I don’t watch much. I love your wig videos too and think you’re headed to bigger and greater success. Your personality is infectious, keep doing you!
Ayana love you videos. As a person that use to watch reality tv all the time. I can definitely tell that producers force most situations on some shows.
I prefer the rant videos. I don't know why, but I just do. Just let us see Blossom in your rant video; she is so adorable! I wonder why they call it reality TV when that much of it is planned and manipulated (almost like a cheap sitcom). I know that I would be awful for reality TV because I'm that kind of person that no one should ever have on speakerphone; therefore, I'm definitely not that kind of person to have on reality TV because I'll air out the entire scene (especially the production team). But thank you so much for sharing the ins and outs or reality TV, Ayana. I hope that they treat you better for the new season for Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta.
I’ve always wondered how confessionals were filmed.. like there would be a situation and then you guys will describe it in the confessional. BUT the situation, I assume, would have already happened, and you guys describe it as if it was happening in real time. For example if I’m explaining a Scene to someone I would use: “I DID this, I DID that” But on the confessionals I’m guessing they make you say “I’m DOING this, this IS happening” .. Idk just always wondered how it was during confessionals
Totally I agreed Ayana! I think reality tv isn’t necessarily fake but it does comes out looking a lot forced. That’s the reason why I don’t really watch reality tv much now. Show like love and hip hop has a lot of forced scenes in their episodes of their show whether it’s in the New York , Atlanta, Miami or Hollywood franchise. Where production would get certain people that are actually are friends outside of the show to get them to beef or fight on the show. Or to get them to say or do certain things on the show . It’s all for pulling in ratings and to be honest with you people enjoy watching toxic people fight and these show that displays toxicity. Because nowadays that’s what make people tune in to those kind of show every day. It all for entrainment if you ask me. Now if there isn’t any drama or beef going on with certain people in the cast then viewers always gonna say it a boring season or the person boring and they interesting. That’s just my perspective. But however I do know people who would constantly stay on reality tv for the benefit of money 💰 and more camera time instead of their mental well-being
Used to be a reality tv junkie! It wasn’t until The Hills had that crazy weird ending to the show leaving us with the question was the show ever real. Then I watched UnReal on Lifetime and I pretty much had it with reality tv. I keep my reality tv to Bravo and dasss it!
Even if you conduct yourself in a certain manner.. producers have the will-power to create whatever narrative they choose by using (soundbites, clip-placements; etc). If they want your role to be a villain, it will be.
U was one of my favorite cast members on the show..im proud of u for keepin it a buck..u and breanna are beautiful smart and great representations of women of color..dope asf😍😍
It's funny you mentioned "the hills" because that show was indeed fake af, most of the cast has came out to say alot of the scenes were fake not situational straight up fake af
Hey Ayana… Is Tammy (Waka Flocka’s wife) your sister? I don’t watch the show but I just seen a clip of you and her together. Y’all look so much alike to me & talk alike.
I just started watching so I’m not sure if you answer this question later but when you were saying that is not fake it’s situational is it true to what some people say about how like often times like if you don’t really give them anything that they could use that they will like chop up scenes to make a scene one way when it’s really the other cause I know a lot of times people say oh I was talking about something else but they chop the scene to make it seem like that was my response to whatever the conversation was about is that true?
Heyyyy Pretty Lady 💕💋❤️ You were one of the only reasons I watched that show 😩 Always had such a cool vibe & always a lady 💅🏾 You were always seen & not heard: Just as a lady should be 💯 stopped watching when I didn’t see much of you anymore. So glad I found out about your RU-vid channel ‼️
When they try and make you talk about other people even tho you said you don’t want to talk about it do you say I don’t want to talk about it ? Would that be a better response instead of them backing you into a corner ?
@@ayanafite oh okay cool I thought you meant you talk about it I hope you’re having a good day I was admitted to the hospital last night again for my disease your content is helping me get by !!!!!! Keep the uploads coming
With regard to certain restaurants and/or bars refusing to allow reality shows to film in their establishments, I’m curious how many more “no’s” reality shows featuring predominantly cast members of color get as opposed to how many “no’s” the shows featuring these perceived rich, white women get. I’d bet my last dollar that “they” don’t get as many “no’s” as “we” get. Is the restaurant more apt to give permission to film to “Housewives of Beverly Hills” than to “Housewives of Atlanta” or even “Housewives of New Jersey”? Curious, indeed.
You were born with a gold spoon. So of course you wouldn’t care to be in more episodes lol no shade no tea. You gonna be good financially regardless 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️And you said reality TV wasn’t fake, but literally everything you said after contradicted that…. Good video though🙂
Not really. She said it’s not fake and the drama and some of the situations were real, but the producers pushed some situations farther to create more drama.
