I think I get where adeayo is coming from. The album reminds me of when Wizkid wanted to enter his calm/mid tempo era and he released 'sounds from the other side', it didn't work but he perfected it with 'Made in Lagos' and we know what happened afterwards. I think Rema is trying to convey something and may b he didn't fully achieve it with HEIS. If truly this is the direction he wants to go, we have to give him time to fully perfect it sha. However ,I don't know if the audience will be patient enough or even if he will be patient with himself enough to fully perfect it. This album is solely curated for live shows. Once he starts performing it live, ppl will love it. It's more suitable for live shows than listening. And yes, the inspiration is definitely rock music, domesticated in afrobeats format.

What even makes a good music in the first place? A lot of you guys should be talking about the elements in songs so we can understand the stance, not all of this nonsense. As if good vibe is a good music. We need people who know musical elements and artists lyrical analysis.

Y’all saying that the album is experimental and that’s why people don’t like it as if Rema just suddenly became experimental. Rema has been experimental since the beginning. Songs like Ironman, Dumebi, Why, Lady, Bad Commando, Beamer, woman, bounce, and so on and people enjoyed those experimental sounds. Even Ravage got a lot of praise though being extremely experimental but y’all are deluding yourself calling this noise Rema dropped a masterpiece album. If y’all were honest with yourself, if another artist dropped this project then y’all would insult them from heaven to earth but all I’m seeing is cope. If the album was that good, the streams it would be getting would have been ground breaking with all the PR it’s getting but the numbers don’t reflect that

Listen!! Rema new album is trying to follow wizkid template. When Wizkid dropped his second Album, the sound changed and more of intensed sound. The only mistake Rema made in this album is over confidence, because this album cannot give him what he wants. It cannot last more than 1yr most. The beats/sound could have helped him have songs that would last 10yrs like Wizkid but his styles and words/lyrics are not genuine.
