Rock City Gardens is a popular tourist attraction located atop Lookout Mountain in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, near Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. It is known for its unique rock formations, breathtaking views, and extensive gardens. During the 1930’s “See Rock City,” was painted on at least 900 barns across the U.S. But these days, "Why See Rock City?" Is this famous Roadside Attraction still worth your time? In this video we’re walking through Rock City Gardens during the off season. Rock City Gardens, or just Rock City, is one of the original American Roadside attractions created during the Roadside Attraction booms of the 1930’s. Lookout Mountain rock formations are spectacular. The rocks include interesting formations such as Fat Man's Squeeze, Lover's Leap, and the 1,000-ton balanced rock. Visitors can explore the Enchanted Trail, a meandering pathway that winds through and around the impressive rock formations. The trail is known for its narrow passages, natural caves, and stunning overlooks. But we need to talk about one of the features of Rock City: Fairyland Caverns and Mother Goose Village. These are attractions within Rock City Gardens that showcase artistic depictions of fairy tales and nursery rhymes through colorful dioramas and sculptures. Fairyland Caverns and Mother Goose Village add a whimsical and family-friendly element to the experience. All under blacklight. Is it weird, retro, nostalgic, or dated? Visiting Lookout Mountain is easy, and it's not far from Interstate 24. There's a a great mountain view experience awaiting you at Rock City Gardens. We used to go to Rock City when I was little. I always looked forward to going through the little cave that had different colored class windows. Plus the fairyland was always something I liked as well.

We went there for Christmas last year. We've been there 3 or 4 times, but that was the first time ever at Christmas. It's worth every penny and fighting the crowds. Air quality or curvature has some to do with not being able to see 7 states. But more so the fact that Alabama is behind you (not beside you like the sign depicts) is why you can't see 7 states. The mountain blocks the view towards Alabama. Either way, its still one of my favorite roadside attractions.
