They do that only to make people buy the game at least twice for consoles and then for PC as well and generate more money is just marketing

Whether or not they are, the consumers can dictate the course of action that these studios take. Just because a product is out there doesn’t mean we need to buy it. Fortunately or unfortunately, R* has created a demand for a product that they will now be monetizing.

Its been like this since the beginning cause they are made to be console games first and a pc game second. Also, this gives the pc version a chance to run smoother on older equipment

The fact that GTA 5 RP using FiveM is a prominent part of is a reason that Rockstar needs to make sure the PC version comes out with the console version. I won't be buying a new console this time around for it, I will just wait.

They literally did it with every gta from gta 3 to gta 5 got released a year later on pc. What did the PC fans expect, red dead redemption 1 still has not released for the pc to this day. It seems Rockstar has a harder time porting their games to PC ever since the seven generation of consoles for some strange reason. Gta 4 was buggy as hell when it first released on pc and it took them almost 2 years for them to finally release gta 5 on pc and a year later for Red Dead Redemption 2. How can you be upset with someone that's been doing the same thing from day one, it's something you should expect by now.

Rockstar has been doing this trends for decades. Consoles are easier to make plus no pirating which means maximum revenue for them

I'm always surprised that games designed on a PC aren't easily adapted to PC. Granted I'm no developer, and of course the games are being designed with console functionality in mind, but still. Btw...to all the modders out there, THANK YOU!

All the given reasons are wrong. Real reason is Rockstar wants to make money from GTA VI console sales and then want customers to again buy the same game on PC. If they release the game on PC and Console at the same time then a lot of people will buy PC version only. If they release first on Console and a year later on PC then people will buy both.

It's entirely about money, They get paid fat stacks to be timed exclusives, people will absolutely buy a console to play GTA and many will buy it again on PC for a smoother and higher quality experience, PC can wait a year or two because unlike consoles they actually have games.

As a PC gamer I can't wait however long to play this game while social media and spoilers in my RU-vid feed become a thing. I'll buy the game on my PS5 and deal with how it ends up looking and running on base PS5, and then get it again over a year later or so on PC when it's ready to be experienced the way Rockstar intended. It sucks, because I did pass on RDR2 on consoles to wait for the PC version and it was awful not being there day 1 when it was new and fresh, but that's the price you pay I guess to have it immediately versus delayed gratification.

I don't think you guys understand the console version is easier for the developers to make while the pc they have to do the optimizations and also try to not make the game get pirated Plus look at the PC version of GTA 4 it has a lot of performance issues because it was rushed and then you guys will complain when they do the same with GTA 6 so rather wait than rush Rockstar and then blame them when it's filled with bugs and issues

No, it's a business decision. They know that most people will "double dip" by buying it on console first then buy it again on pc. Releasing day one on PC means they're likely to sell less overall

They want you to buy the console one first. Then once you've completed it a few times and it comes out on pc, you pay for it again so you can start modding it. And obviously piracy.

It’ll be no different for GTA6, and no different than what happens when games stagger their launch with PC releasing first, then console, or when games get a delayed release on Xbox or PlayStation, as a result of a contract with Microsoft or Sony.

Hope they don't release at day one on PC, so we can have a game that actually use the hardware of PS5 and Series X.

Been always the norm when it comes to big game releases. Also, PC normally gets the full and best version with all the updates and DLCs already included. As the saying goes, all good things come to those who wait patiently.

This game is going to be an overly hyped trashfire. Not only have the devs been talking about it being feminist orientated and woke but they have been constantly saying its not a next gen gta. Its not going to do anything different to gtav except make people but more sharkcards all over again. I have zero interest, they havent innovated in years and the city they picked is the same boring america. If I'm being honest this BS exclusive release crap is getting f'n old and stale, I'm a PC gamer as I think consoles are degraded, lower tier hardware trying to play like a PC and never ever getting the quality or performance or sheer offerings PC gaming has always had it over consoles. Time to move forward and release games on all platforms at the same time if preferred, but yeah this exclusive releases are shitting on the entire gaming landscape, they only really shoot themselves in the foot for not releasing on PC seeing PC takes up a majority of the chips and technology to produce far better than any console will ever dream of. Not to mention when ya waiting 2 years+ for PC release then asking full price plus for a game that's already old by the time it gets a PC port, hahaha that's why most by then wait longer for 50% sales then pick it up, done it with heaps of titles over the years myself 🙂

This game will be a huge sales boost for PlayStation 5 and Sony. Xbox sales are in the gutter and the brand ain't doing so good in general and its not releasing on Switch ofc so there's really only one way to play on release! The PS5 Pro will release right on time for this game as well.. obviously not a coincidence.
