Have you made fairy dust? (Vegan Parmesan) half a cup of raw cashews, half a cup of nooch, 2 teaspoons of garlic granules and 1 teaspoon of onion salt. Blitz in a mini blender. Delicious on spag bol , pest pasta and on marmite on toast x

I would cross the pond to shop in those markets. You tow are marvelous.

For me, the best is Asda. It is affordable and the Kiev’s are the best I have found

Great vlog, got to agree tesco is better at the moment. My local sainsbury's is inconsistent, often has very limited options other than veganuary and Christmas time.

Guys, you need to try Ocado. They do more vegan products than any other supermarket. You'll get a nice discount with your first order as well. X

Sainsbury's are my regular shop. But Tesco might just about be best overall due to the strength of the Wicked range. Co-op can be great too. But it's very store-dependent... I've been to a few Tesco and Co-op where they're basically not bothered to stock any vegan-specific items, nothing from the Wicked or Gro ranges.

This is my local sainsburys and I can't believe how much stuff I've missed! Thank you!!! 💕 Will be keeping a look out now. Have obviously been walking around with my eyes closed 😂 I have found their own 'meat' pizza in there before, but it's never there anymore. Also got that biryani yellowed stickered this week too! 😯

I do enjoy the clear labelling in sainsburys, but as you say Tesco are really upping their game. Tesco is also more affordable I find that sainsburys and, at the moment, every little helps!

Maybe the packing facility was changed and the equipment used there maybe shared with non vegan products. Perhaps that’s why items not marked vegan. Got to check the labels. I’m still so jelly that you guys have so much available. 💕❤️💕❤️💕👏👏👏

with the toiletries and cruelty free not always meaning it's vegan, I don't think marked vegan necessarily means cruelty free either. I think they can use vegan as a selling point based on the ingredients not being animal based but still test on animals. I think the superdrug own brand toothpaste says vegan and cruelty free if anyone's looking for one that has both on the package.

When products say Vegetarian, I always check if it's Vegan by ingredient, cause some thing's that say Vegetarian still are Vegan.

Sainsburys in my local town is terrible, it has very little for vegans. The Beauty Kitchen products you pointed out are actually really good, I appreciate it's a bit more expensive but they're a B Corporation certified so people and planet before profit and once you're done with the packaging you can return it freepost to them and they wash it out and use it again so it's fully zero waste. 💚💚

If you used to love ribs, the sainsburys own ribs are absolutely delicious. They've got the texture just right

I do most of my shopping at Tesco, just out of habit and because I feel the prices are good, so long as you have a clubcard. For range, I feel Sainsburys probably just edges it. But they all have their strengths. So I don't really have a concrete view on this - yet! Loving these vlogs though 😍

Hi guys 👋 fantastic vlog. Love the comparison of supermarkets idea, especially for prices. My local is Sainsbury's too & it is such a shame as l feel they are slipping. Tesco's does seem to be the best, but l only have smaller Tesco's near me. So l have more choice at Sainsbury's. l will go farmfoods, Iceland, Morrisons, Asda, Aldi, Lidel for a change but Sainsbury's has always been my main go to. Ooh also when you were looking at the soups, in the freefrom l tried the carrot & cocconut, & the broccoli & kale which was my favourite! l was not expecting to like it so much. There is less choice for soups, but l have got better at spotting different ones & not just tomato all the time grrh! 😂 M&S l buy the odd item if passing, but too expensive. l can get to the larger Tesco's, but not on a working week day. l try do my food shop towards the end of the week, straight after work because l can make the most of my weekend. If l had a larger Tesco's nearer, l would definately go there more often. Lots of choice, regularly spot different things & love the meal deals. The pret crossiants are my favourite! An yes, l was in the supermarket on the same day as this vlog, did not want to leave because so it was so much cooler!! And the amount of times l pick up an item & say, why on earth has that got milk in it!? Bloody idiots 🤣. What gets me, is when l see dark chocolate with milk in & think, well its not dark chocolate then is it!? 🤦‍♀️🙄😂

Good morning those vegan guys, Now I was considering what to write in bed this morning 13th August to you both, but I am super grateful for this video diary, as you have eliminated me from doing research myself and now I can save money in sainsburys with a few bits, and have my main shopping done in Tesco. Also, to answer your question Paul, I consider for me personally and to answer you too Jason, I love Tesco for plant based living and things there is so much range and they get new offers in quite frequently as well as the club card is absolutely fantastic, and then there’s my loyalty too, like you Paul said, I am quite a loyal person, and to be honest, I get quite disappointed when Tesco don’t deliver but I can forgive them, as I know they would try always to put things right if one has good communication with them and Tesco has many companies that they liaise with such as wicked products for plant based living, and they seem to be doing well. Moreover, I would like you to consider doing a shopping video diary on Asda or Iceland next, as I think 🤔 🤔 Asda is the next biggest brand amongst Tesco and Sainsburys to be honest, however it is your personal choice and I just love your videos no matter what I get from you both week by week, I always know since joining the channel that you both will deliver every time, and provide value, which I greatly appreciate. Lastly, those ice creams look good in Sainsburys as well as the Sainsburys own brand which I consider I will get sometime soon in the near future too for my treats, and the sheese cheese looks good to try too, which is a delight for me price wise as it is twenty five pence less then Tesco is selling right now as well as the oatly whippable cream, this looks delightful and great for dessert making and other things too with one’s cooking needs. Also, I like the Jimmy’s ice coffee too for one pound, may try this too one day soon hopefully. All in all, thank you once again for a delightful video and enlightening video too, much appreciated.

Also with the juices, just like with wines and their derivatives and beers, it can a question of the filtration used if they can be considered vegan or not ❤️

My fam use the 'This' Sausages and highly recommend them to everyone - also good for gluten free peeps although is a may contain (if some coeliacs are ok with that)

Thanks for this . I’ve got to say I was a bit surprised at sainsburrys. But I’m in agreement with you guys that so far Tesco is by far the best on both price and variety of products available. I know it’s a small shop but I’ve found Heron foods to be really good at the moment. They sell some really good things including large bags of vegan sausage rolls, various pies etc for under £2 . Also Farm foods is excellent. I went there after your recommendation and found some lovely things! The curry pies and vegan mince etc were fab . 💚🌱

Tesco or asda are my 2 faves n highly recommend ..our sainsburys is so disappointing ..i must go in again n just see if its any better ..but home shop i tend to use as disabled and thats ever so disappointed by that too n removed the app off my phone ..used to love the wide range of vegan n c.f beauty stuff .that seems to have slimmed down ..

All of the Love Your Veg Soups! Appear to be Vegan by ingredients. The Indian Cauliflower one is the best

Need to try those Hippeas! And l love a meaty flavoured crisp, especially the flame grilled steak ridgey ones. (Here in Scotland Mackies do some beautiful flavours that are suitable for us.)

Beauty products are so annoying. In Superdrug I remember seeing some makeup that said cruelty free but contained honey & beeswax 🤔. I just stick to what is clearly marked vegan!💚

May I add the ‘My Hair Matters’ by Sainsbury’s dry shampoo £1.50 for 200ml, marked Vegan and cruelty free and in my opinion a brilliant alternative to Batiste (and I’ve used some terrible dry shampoos in my time). Another brilliant, informative videos, many thanks guys xx

Idk if you’ve tried them already but the frozen plant pioneers burgers from Sainsburys that come in the 8 pack are really good!!! Definitely recommend them if you haven’t tried them yet, so cheap and so nice!! Xx

I have a question for you: do you have to check ingredients panels for GMOs there? Here in the USA; we have to check EVERYTHING that is processed for GMOs, so much of it is altered,it’s so annoying!

I find Sainsburys very expensive compared to other supermarkets

After a Sunny Friday at Hebden Bridge (never been before. Loved it) we got home and wondered if our lads had done a vlog. Then there it was, an hour of vegan shopping at Sainsburys. Does it get any better than this!? P.S. Tesco is winning for us at present. 👍

Love these vlogs, sainsburys has som great vegan items, i just wish all supermarkets would put all vegan products together, pref away from.the meat ( corpses) would make our luves so much easier!! I’ve had the plant pioneer Croissant and I don’t rate them I think the prey ones are nicer but that’s just my opinion I just don’t think your missing out on them
