Thanks Danny for a great explanation on how faith and works are joined together. You put emphasis on Abraham being uncircumcised and circumcised. What was The meaning of And/or Circumcision in Abraham's day?

Here is a good article that addresses that www.gotquestions.org/circumcision.html

Faith and Works work together. If we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from every Sin.

They sure do! Faith in Jesus saves you, works prove you have faith. When you have faith, the works come. However, works don’t save you :)

@@theorthotomeominute It wasn't by works of righteousness which we have done but by his mercy he saved us through the washing and regeneration of the Holy Spirit. But this I say to you walk in the Spirit and you will put to death the deeds of the flesh. Either one will be slave to Sin leading to death or of righteousness leading to holiness.

@@faithhopeandagape4059 I agree :) true. Faith leads to good works and righteous living!

Hypocrites claim a belief in Jesus, but they don't follow him. Jesus said, "Go and sin no more." The majority of his followers contradict him. Some even mock at the command that he gave us to live by. Jesus did not make mistakes in the language he used, yet countless Christians feel that it is their duty to correct him. Many even say that he didn't mean that, or he meant to say something else. They will even use his own bible scriptures against him to try and prove him wrong. It takes a lot of arrogance to challenge his authority, and those who do will be counted among his enemies. Those who reject his word reject him. Romans 1:28-32 "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them." Jesus said, "Go and sin no more." Hypocrites contradict Jesus. They say that sinning, even daily, is a normal part of Christian life, and it is even expected of us all. They know nothing about the work of the Holy Spirit to transform us to righteousness, and if they are told, they deny it. 2 Timothy 4;3-4 "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Thanks for commenting. I’m a little confused as to why you are saying this on this video? This is about faith vs works for salvation. Holy living comes after salvation. Maybe you can explain your point and the relevance it has to this specific video. Thanks!

@The Orthotomeo Minute I was meaning that Jesus taught that obedience is required to enter his kingdom, but false christians teach that obedience is works.
@theorthotomeominute

@@Myjesus-1 so faith alone in Jesus does not save us? Or are you saying true faith results in works? I absolutely agree that if you love Jesus, you will obey him and the Holy Spirit produces righteousness in us. But how you enter the kingdom of God is the question. Is it faith in Jesus or do you have to earn it by your works first?

@The Orthotomeo Minute we need faith and works for salvation. James taught works. Jesus also taught - No Works - No Salvation. “Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’ “Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’ “And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’ “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.” The Book Of Matthew Jesus warned his followers that many of them will not inherit his kingdom: “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14.

Thank you for your reply! Maybe you can explain how that works for me. If you don't mind answering a few questions I would appreciate it. 1. If faith in Jesus isn't enough, when are you born again? (John 3) 2. How do you know when you have done enough works? 3. What are the works, and what if you don't do them all? 4. When the Jews tried to add works to faith, why did Paul tell them they had fallen from grace? (Galatians 5:4) Thank you for you time and courteous discussion!
