also sampling can be extremely creative and skilled. i'm also usually in a different state of mind when i sample vs when im writing the harmonies and melodies, they feel to different to compare.

The sheer diversity in methods of sampling is enough proof that it isn't a crutch or a lack of ability for a producer. Alchemist and travis scott both frequently use samples and yet no one ever says their music is similar

the other day I was telling my brother that there is such a dude Gami on youtube, I started watching him from the time when he was just shooting kinda personal blog and could joke like "no, this is not vodka, we just drink water from glass bottles here in Germany." Yo Gami. I just wanna say that you've been a great inspiration for me to make beats a few years back when i watched your most popular video. Crazy story was last year in Vietnam where I'm from, a song called Tokyo Cypher came out and became a big hit in our country. From the first listen I already felt a familiar vibe. I didn't pay attention to it at first, but a few listens in, I decided to go to the credits on Spotify, and I was quite surprised to see it was one of you beats. I hadn't had time to watch you or to make music, but still it feels great to know that you're doing well. Keep up the great work, I'm rooting for you.

Lets talk music some time! I am an independenty songwriter, producer, and engineer of my own stuff. Absolutely love this concept, and would love to help finish songs to completion with yah! I am currently finishing up an album, and could relate to the troubles of recording at different times during the process of a song. What I learned was to hold onto anything written, or any little ideas throughout the day -- try to incorporate it into the song in terms of the writing.. I usually source concepts that make me feel better about life.. Some times the vibes makes itself, and now using lyrics to indicate changes coming in the beat, helps.. and its heavily felt like relearning how to sample different elements from separate time periods, and reintroducing them together like a DJ.

the problem I have with sampling is that it's somewhat like stealing. Depending on your skills, samples can be changed completely and that would be fine. But a lot of people don't. And when stealing is normalized, it hurts the original makers and the people that make shit from scratch.

Pro tip; No one cares as long as its free use and changed at least a little or mixed differently/effects chains. Sample anything and everything., or dont. Oh and btw, if you use and and i mean ANY sound packs or any wavs, youre still sampling. Just because its a one shot percussion doesnt make it not a sample. Every single producer samples in one form or another. Even the ones who claim they dont.

Yeah sampling isn’t cheating, BUT it’s a way to make melodies easer because it needs less skill. Ich denk mir halt so, was finde ich krasser wenn jmd mit seiner Kreativität eine banger Melo macht ist das doch tausend mal krasser als, wenn jmd sampels als Loop abspielt. Wenn ich ein Lied höre und ich weiß der Typ ist RAW ist am Ende immer noch krasser, aber Save Lieder mit sampeln sind trotzdem hard asf kommt halt immer drauf an was man fühlt Type shit.
